  1. Umm, sorry about what I told you, the backup installers are in the \Updates\ folder not, the backups folder. The backups folder contains backup platform xml files.
  2. No, but as far as i'm aware of all versions of Mame should have those files I posted a screencap of. I use the command line version of Mame but maybe there are some versions that don't have those files.
  3. It should be in the \ini\presets\ folder, if it's not in there I really don't know what to tell you
  4. Tagging @Jason Carr for this one but in the meantime you can check in the Backups folder in your Launchbox install folder for previous installer versions.
  5. It should exist unless you are using an older version of Mame before the HLSL shaders became a thing.
  6. There's no way around it unless you separate out your games into individual platforms that use the same control scheme. From there you would have to have Retroarch use a command line parameter to load a custom config for each of those platforms. So you're either taking time to setup controls for each game or you're taking the time to separate individual games and for arcade games that can be just as (if not more) time consuming. All I did was come up with a good basic config that works great for most every game and then as I came across games that required a bit of tweaking in the controls I just edited it quick and easily.
  7. Same here, I had serious reservations about migrating to Windows 10 but it's been very good with very few issues at all, certainly no more issues than any previous Windows going all the way back to Windows 95. Even the Creators Update has been painless for me, I wonder if maybe disabling all the tracking garbage has had a positive effect.
  8. You will have to do it for each game and it should save it automatically.
  9. Ok, that works too but it's the more annoying way but if you got it the way you want it now that's all that matters.
  10. Yeah the platform name in the associated platform window has to match the platform itself Glad you got it working.
  11. Try this core specifically: fbalpha2012_libretro.dll If your CPS-2 platform is a separate one make sure that the platform name is correctly matched. Match up with the way mine is in the screenshots above.
  12. Tagging @Jason Carr for this one.
  13. Unless you moved your roms or using different roms from the ones you imported if your core in the command line parameters is correct it will work in Launchbox. Nothing in Launchbox itself will make your games not work. Edit: The 2012 FBA core is the one I use.
  14. Whatever core you are using in Retroarch outside of Launchbox should be the one used in Launchbox and should work.
  15. Ok, what's the exact core you are using in Retroarch to load your CPS-2 games ? My guess right now is you are actually using a different core in Retroarch on its own Just for reference this is my CPS-2 platform and emulators setup.
  16. Why would you say that ? It's early for it still, I believe the proper Black Friday sales are next week and @Jason Carr doesn't openly advertise them when he does them, he announces it the day of the sale.
  17. If you can provide some screen shots of your Edit Emulator window for Retroarch in Launchbox and the Associated Platforms window with the command line you are using for your CPS2 platform that would help us out in trying to troubleshoot this. CPS2 does work through Launchbox perfectly fine so my first guess since you say it works outside of Launchbox is that you have either a mistake in your platform name or the command line for that platform.
  18. No worries.
  19. I don't know for certain but if I were a betting man (which i'm not) I would bet on yes but one day only so keep an eye out.
  20. I am confused as to what exactly you are saying. You cannot associate a playlist with a platform, you can put a playlist in a category if you right click the playlist in the left hand column and edit it, there you can set a category for it.
  21. You have to use an emulator that is supported by the web site.
  22. Like mentioned in a previous post there are quite a lot of games not rated by any ratings system which didn't become a thing until the early to mid nineties and some of them quite offensive by any standards such as the Mystique games with such classics as Beat Em & Eat Em and Custers Revenge on the Atari 2600. While those games are very primitive they are very adult in theme and this doesn't even get into the home computer side of gaming which has far more games like the Leisure Suit Larry games. So automating it based on ESRB is only a half measure at best.
  23. Fair enough. Would be nice if you could make it happen but if you can't then you can't.
