  1. Like mentioned in a previous post there are quite a lot of games not rated by any ratings system which didn't become a thing until the early to mid nineties and some of them quite offensive by any standards such as the Mystique games with such classics as Beat Em & Eat Em and Custers Revenge on the Atari 2600. While those games are very primitive they are very adult in theme and this doesn't even get into the home computer side of gaming which has far more games like the Leisure Suit Larry games. So automating it based on ESRB is only a half measure at best.
  2. Fair enough. Would be nice if you could make it happen but if you can't then you can't.
  3. Hmm, Retroarch does it, they have notifications for when you get one of the achievements but like I said, it's just a simple yellow text in the bottom left corner of the screen when you get one.
  4. Would be possible and how much work would it be if it is to have a cool pop up / overlay for when you get an achievement ? The bland yellow text in Retroarch is just that, bland.
  5. I would suggest having a 2nd install of games you allow them to play. A "user profile" feature would be nice for cases like this where you can have different sets of games for users. That is something that is planned but not sure when.
  6. If you select all the games you should be able to right click and add them all to the Arcade playlist if you have one. But if you are talking about the platform called Arcade that will be a little trickier but doable. Select all the games, right click and edit to bring up the bulk edit tool and change the platform for your Supermodel 3 games, they should now be in the Arcade platform just make sure that your Supermodel 3 emulator has the platform Arcade set in the Associated Platforms. Your Supermodel 3 games will still have to use that emulator so if you ever bulk edit your Arcade platform games to change emulator you will have to make sure your Supermodel 3 games get changed back to the correct emulator.
  7. It should be fine with those specs but I won't go so far as to guarantee it because I have seen people with very high end systems have problems while at the same time several people including myself use BigBox on lower end systems without issues. You can check the performance and how to make it better thread for tips on improving performance. Also if you are unhappy with performance and cannot get it working the way you need it to you can request a refund, @Jason Carr is very good about that sort of thing.
  8. Yup that would work perfectly fine.
  9. Retroarch does support it and several other emulators listed on their web site.
  10. The latest release remembers your import settings including which media to download.
  11. Empty folders take up precisely zero space, not even a single byte.
  12. If Mexico never contributes anything to the world ever again they have given us the greatest thing ever with Lucha Libre.
  13. Just when you think Jason is done he goes and does this to us.
  14. One workaround albeit a tad messy and not perfect is to create custom "Categories" and put individual "Platforms" in there. Using the example above from@ZeroX9876 it would something like this: Category - Super Nintendo Entertainment System Platforms in this category would be: A. USA B. Japan C. Translations D. Hacks Of course for this you would have to add those extra platform names to your emulators Associated Platforms. I know this isn't ideal and how anyone wants this done, neither do I and I will keep pushing @Jason Carr for a better sub platform / playlist system.
  15. Stella works perfectly fine with Launchbox, you possibly had something wrong in your Edit Emulator window for it, maybe the Associated Platforms.
  16. Completely off topic, be sure to check out the tutorials section found at the top of the web page if you need help.
  17. I doesn't but it should be easily modified to do so, my assumption would be to add a %3 there but I won't say it does for certain.
  18. No problem, just thought it weird as an example Yup, in that "Tab" menu there is Input (General) and Input (This Machine). General is your default all around general purpose and This Machine is for that specific game.
  19. You can create custom configs and have them load using the -c "path\to\config" parameter in the Associated Platforms window of Retroarch in LB. Here is an example command line I use for my Atari 800 platform using Retroarch: -L "cores\atari800_libretro.dll" -c "config\Atari800.cfg" The Atari800.cfg is located in the \config folder of my Retroarch install folder. On a side note and may not be anything at all you mention using one core such as the Mame core for Genesis ? I assume you are just using that as an example and you don't actually do that because there is a GenesisGX which is better than Mame. Also in the Mame core you can setup a default control scheme by pressing "Tab" and bringing up the Mame menu and then you can also do "per machine" configs using the "Tab" menu as well.
  20. I still don't get what you are asking for. You can have Retroarch load a custom config if you wanted it to, you can also have Retroarch use per core and per game configs if you want.
  21. Gradius III incoming.
  22. I don't have any answers on this problem, especially if it just stopped for no apparent reason. I'll tag @Jason Carr in hopes that he has an answer for you.
  23. If your 3DO games are working in Retroarch on its own and not in Launchbox triple check your command line parameters in the Associated Platforms window for Retroarch in Launchbox. Triple check your command line for Wii like for 3DO, it should work unless the RA core has issues with them. I use the stand alone version of Dolphin so can't say what the core is like for it. For the CD-i you want to use Mame / Mess with the command line parameter: cdimono1 -cdrm
