If you change the platform name you also need to update the Associated Platform name for the emulator and in the Edit Emulators window.

Bigbox gui not launchingg game but launchbox gui will.
Lordmonkus replied to Retro956's topic in Troubleshooting
Yeah I had enough of RocketLauncher a couple years ago when I setup HyperSpin and I absolutely hated the software to the point I never wanna see it again so I don't touch it now. The few cosmetic functions it brings just isn't worth it to me but that is just me and my tastes, I certainly know why people use and love it however. Glad you got it all working again. Yeah, I think so as well. -

I knew someone with more knowledge of RocketLauncher and how it interacts with Launchbox would be able to help here. -

Hopefully someone with far more knowledge of RocketLauncher can help you out. My knowledge is extremely limited but did you by any chance update your emulators and possibly your RL modules don't support the emulator if you did update ? It's very odd that your RocketLauncher is working through Launchbox and not BigBox though because there really is zero difference, the both pull from the exact same .xml files. -
NullDC is decent but Demul is the better overall emulator. Both emulators have their flaws though. Demul is more accurate and runs more games while NullDC is less of a pain to setup and runs faster on less hardware.

That is very weird that it would work through the desktop mode but not through BigBox mode. Unfortunately I cannot help with anything RocketLauncher related because I do not use it at all but you should try setting up a game to just use an emulator on its own and not being passed through RL. See if that works or not, if it does then obviously there is something going on between BigBox and RL and if it doesn't then maybe something is going on with your BigBox. Are you using a beta or stable build of Launchbox ? -
I'll tag @Jason Carr and maybe he'll see this and respond.

Yeah for sure, I have posted over on their forums asking about it but it's the 2600 which most people seem to have very little interest in because of its age and primitive looks. The core appears to based on a pre 4.0 version of Stella which is extremely out dated but is perfectly functional for the basic and common usage.

Have you ever played an Atari 2600 game and wished it had 2 buttons instead of 1 ? Certain games such as HERO this would be extremely handy since most if not all of use controllers with multiple buttons. Well there is a way to do this. First off you would need a hacked rom to make use of a 2nd button and those can be found over on the AtariAge forums here https://atariage.com/forums/topic/158430-rom-hacks-to-support-2-buttons-with-genesis-controllers/. Second, you need an emulator that supports using a "Genesis" controller and for that you will need a stand alone version of Stella. The latest version of Stella as of the time of this post is 5.0.2 and is really good to have because a lot of the newer homebrew and rom hacks are starting to require a recent version. Unfortunately the Retroarch Stella core is not up to date and will not support this at all. Now the last thing you will need is to setup Stella to use the "Genesis" controller and bind the 2nd button and for that I will just point you to this short guide here: http://www.randomterrain.com/atari-2600-memories-batari-basic-commands.html#2buttons. Now you can enjoy some 2 button goodness plaing Atari 2600 games.

I'd be really surprised if there isn't some sort of small program out there that would make it easy, it's just a matter of finding it.

Unfortunately I am unable to help you, I have a dual monitor setup and everything loads on the monitor that is set to the primary display which is the intended way it is supposed to work. All I can tell you is to look in the different multi monitor management software out there until you find something that works for you. In the mean time though hopefully someone may come across this thread and have a good working answer for you.

Try that and see if his solution works for you.

I've just been picking the ones that I liked and I called my platform Super Nintendo (MSU-1).

Just a heads up, Smokemonster has been updating a lot of the MSU packs and uploading them to his Google drive. He has been fixing audio issues with some of the older versions that had boosted audio levels because of a bug in the SD2Snes firmware which caused audio levels to be too low. This boosted audio in turn caused a lot of audio clipping on the updated firmware and emulators. You can get the patch + audio files at the link above if you prefer to do that or don't have Smokemonsters Google drive.

Videos play in BIGBOX but not in LAUNCHBOX
Lordmonkus replied to reverse_sorrow's topic in Troubleshooting
Very weird that it stopped working, I am using the latest beta and the auto play works fine. I always have it set to "click to play" just so I don't have to listen to the video play and if I want to see the video I just click on it. I also use Launchbox mode more than BigBox mode but I do use BigBox mode on my HTPC hooked up to my TV. One thing to maybe try is changing the video player in the options. -
If you want a list of games to try and get a head start on some they have a wishlist with prioritized games to be worked on over on the Zeldix website. https://www.zeldix.net/t844-msu-1-wishlist Looks like some cool games are on the list like Illusion of Gaia and Secret of Mana 2.
-
Secret of Evermore is now done and the patch + pcms have been uploaded but not the full package yet.
-
It can be the same name but incorrect file if it's actually different in size or md5 check sum.

I'd suggest sending an email to support@unbrokensoftware.com or use the License Support at the top of the site under Help & Support.

Ok well that error tells me that your Demolish Fist rom is no good. You don't need to copy your roms to the root rom directory, you can simply tell Demul where to look for the roms and you can add multiple paths like how I have in the screencap above.
-
This is a missing bios issue and you will have to source a proper one.
-
You will need to add the rom locations in Demul and then you will want the appropriate command line parameters for each platform. Here is the command line for Atomiswave which is the only one I use aside from Dreamcast. -run=awave -rom=
-
Damn that does suck if they changed up the emulator to make it a pain in the ass to close out.
-
I don't know if something got changed with the latest version of Cemu or not since I haven't bothered with it. Try this one: $Esc:: Send, !{F4} Return

Help - entire launchbox folder suddenly disappeared during use

@jackadision You necro'd an old post with useless generic tech advice and a link to a really shady looking site. This first post of yours screams of bullshit spam to me.
