Ok I know this may be a stupid question, but your first picture looks like it is in your Saturn collection (i cannot view it full size so it's hard to tell). Are you mistakenly trying to load Saturn games in Fusion ?
-
Yeah, loads fine for me. It looks like you got your command line parameters in the Emulator Details tab, try putting it in the Associated Platforms tab. It also looks like you are using a different bios version than I am but that shouldn't matter at all as long as the game loads outside of Launchbox.
-
Do you have any boxes checked on the Emulator Detail tab of the Edit Emulator window ? I don't use Fusion but I do have it installed and it's working fine for me using version 3.64. I have nothing checked on the Emulator Details tab.

I would highly recommend Demul or even NullDC over Retroarchs Dreamcast core. Maybe one day it will be good but we are far from that day yet.

Are people really surprised at EA anymore (UbiSoft as well)? I don't care how good Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefield 1 or any future game they come out with are they will never see another penny from me. People need to stop rewarding their shitty behavior or they will never try to be better. It's just so sad they own the Star Wars gaming rights. Oh well, thankfully there are more than plenty of great games out there worth playing. DRM is a thing that is bad but fortunately there have always been and always will be ways around that unless it's some sort of always online type of game but even then that can be circumvented in some cases.

Glad you got it working. Retroarch can be finicky at times. I just did an install on an HTPC I recently built and using 1.3.6 with known working bios and disk images and none of the cores that used bios such as Sega CD would work. So I grabbed the nightly build and same bios and everything and it just worked, no idea why but oh well it works lol.

xbox360 controller with Retroarch Sega Saturn Mednafen
Lordmonkus replied to ckp's topic in Emulation
There is no "PC" setting on the one I showed the pic of first. It's meant for the PS3 and PS4 but setting it to PS3 makes it totally windows compatible. The newer model which I linked to the Amazon page does have the PC setting though so yeah set that one to PC. -
Well it's going to be personal preference in just how many games you import but I think the way I would do it is import the no-intro set since it is much cleaner than the good set. Then go through the hacks and import the ones you want.

xbox360 controller with Retroarch Sega Saturn Mednafen
Lordmonkus replied to ckp's topic in Emulation
Yeah for whatever reason the one in the pic has gone up in price and is the one I have but when I got it it was not that much. I find the Hori controller to be phenomenal. The d-pad is amazing compared to the XBox 360 and PS3 controllers. I find the d-pad on those controllers to be awful, I cannot compare to the PS4 controller since I have not tried one. But having the amazing d-pad combined with the button layout to match any classic console controller is well worth the price. If it's the only controller plugged in it works out of the box but if you have it plugged in with another controller like the 360 controller you may have to do some configuring. Just set it to PS3 using the switch on the front of the controller and Windows recognizes it straight up and works great. -

The price has gone up on it a little, was around 35$ when I got mine but maybe it's gone up cause of the newer model one which is quite reasonable. https://www.amazon.com/HORI-Fighting-Commander-PlayStation-Officially-Licensed/dp/B01GVOFIAA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477795143&sr=8-1&keywords=hori+fight+commander -
xbox360 controller with Retroarch Sega Saturn Mednafen

Yeah trying to mad the Saturn buttons to an XBox 360 controller is tricky. That's why I use the Hori Fight Commander for Saturn games. -
Nightly builds can have problems but still if it's working within Retroarch and other cores are working through Launchbox it should work. Launchbox is only telling Retroarch to load the game using a command line, and there is no other interaction beyond that which is why for now I am still thinking there is a typo or some other setting somewhere causing the issue. Try a different GBA core and adjust your command line parameter in Launchbox to match that core and see what happens.
-
Well I don't think it's a Launchbox bug because it works just fine for me using the official 1.3.6 Retroarch build and a fairly up to date (within the last week) core. I am also using the latest non beta of Launchbox which is 6.12.
-
No problems with the english Ummm i'm starting to run out of things to check. Your settings from what you are telling me are correct. Are you sure you have the mgba core downloaded and is what you used within Retroarch itself ? Maybe you have a different core and you don't actually have the mgba core. Check in your Retroarch\cores folder and make sure that the mbga_libretro.dll file is in there.
-
What do you mean "publish errors" ? Is your extract roms box checked or unchecked ? Since your roms are already extracted the box should be unchecked.
-
There is no problem with Launchbox and Retroarch directly. Generally if there is a problem it's in a setting or something else. Can you post a shot of the Emulator Details tab as well ? Maybe your roms are extracted and you have the extract roms box checked.
-
Hmm, well if GBA launch and play fine in Retroarch itself and you have other systems using Retroarch working through Launchbox the only thing I can think of off the top of my head right now is you either have a spelling error or maybe you have your game roms extracted already and maybe you have the extract roms box checked in the Emulator Details window. Can you post a screen shot of your Emulator Details and Associated Platforms windows ?
-
Do other systems using Retroarch work for you ?
-
Does your Platform name and Associated Platforms name match up ? Nintendo Game Boy Advance should be the default.
-
You have spaces before and after the back slash \ There shouldn't be spaces.

how do i make Launch box find the Media i already have ?

Was just typing the same thing out, Brad is on the ball today -
I am not exactly sure what you mean here. Do you have 2 different folders where you have roms ? If you do then you can put multiple folder locations in your rompath in the mame.ini. Simple separate them with a semi colon, here is an example: rompath "roms;x:\path\to\roms1;x:\path]to\roms2" This example will let you have roms in the default Mame\roms folder and 2 custom paths to roms. You can add more paths if you wish just but adding them and separating with a semi colon. I find this extremely useful for Mess, here is my Mess.ini rom path, it's a bit crazy but it keeps things much more tidy in the rom organization. rompath "roms;E:\Downloaded Games\Emulation\Roms\Mame Full;H:\Emulation\Roms\Atari 5200\;H:\Emulation\Roms\CD-i\;H:\Emulation\Emulators\Mess\roms\;H:\Emulation\Roms\NeoGeo CD\;H:\Emulation\Roms\Coleco Vision\;H:\Emulation\Roms\Atari 7800\;H:\Emulation\Roms\Atari Lynx\;H:\Emulation\Roms\FM-Towns Marty\;H:\Emulation\Roms\NEC PC-98\;H:\Emulation\Roms\Fairchild\"

An overall config is good to do for the bulk of your games but some games will need a specific setup. Fighting games and twin stick shooters like Robotron and Smash TV come to mind.

Help with adding individual MAME Roms to LaunchBox
Lordmonkus replied to schmosef's topic in Troubleshooting
If you want to. I just tried to force importing it and I couldn't get it to work either. @Jason CarrThis is a bootleg rom of Crossed Swords 2 which was originally a NeoGeo CD game in case you read this. -

Lordmonkus replied to schmosef's topic in Troubleshooting
It's probably something to with one of the check-boxes at the last step about importing clones or games classed as not fully working. Try unchecking all the boxes and import all regions.
