  1. Well there is the filter to remove most of the junk. I imported a 178 set and with the filters it ended up being around 2800 and with a bit more manual cleaning I got down to 2657.
  2. Fair enough but damn all those mahjong and video gambling games lol.
  3. 30,000 ? Did you import every single mahjong, video poker and clone or something ?
  4. Just set it up like any other emulator but make sure to check the "Use file name only without file extension" box. Now while this did work for me to load it didn't load without spitting out a weird error about resolution. I will see if I can figure out fully though. Just out of curiosity though why not use Retroarch with the FBA core ? It is so much simpler to use than the stand alone FBA. Edit: I got it working without spitting the error message at me but I had to tinker with the resolution and colour depth in FBA itself..
  5. If you're doing a fresh install get the biggest one which is Retroarch.7z. It will have all the necessary files for it to work. The smaller dated one is just the exe and a few files, it won't have everything needed for a fresh install.
  6. Hmmmm, you can probably leave them zipped but make sure you have the box to uncompress checked in the emulator settings for it. I generally have mine uncompressed to begin with though.
  7. You delete the word roms if you like or you can add to it by separating it with a semi colon ; Example: rompath "roms;c:\path\to\roms1\;c:\path\to\roms2\"
  8. Yeah you probably can do it all in one shot, I would just do it one by one just to be safe.
  9. Yeah, i would unpack one pack and update with it, then unpack the next and update with that til you get them all done. Reason being the way that the updates work. For example you could have Update 1 with gamerom.zip which contains files a,b and c Then in update pack 2 you could have an update to gamerom.zip but only contains file b. Now if you unpack them in the updates in the same location gamerom.zip from update pack 2 would over write the one from update 1 but it only has file b and not a and c. Hope that makes sense.
  10. Drop them in the LaunchBox\Videos\Arcade\ folder. Or if your platform name is different for your Mame games drop them in that platforms folder in the videos folder.
  11. Just copy the videos to the appropriate location and they will work as long as the name is close to correct. I just did this yesterday, I do not have an emumovies account and I got a whole bunch of videos off a friend of mine. They all work perfectly after dropping them into the location they belonged.
  12. Contact @Jason Carrand he should be able to help you out.
  13. It does and has for a little while. Up until I just recently got a full 177 rom set I was using a mixed set of zip and 7z roms.
  14. Yeah Kurozumi is certainly not a one size fits all shader by any means. For starters it looks better on resolutions greater than 1080, the thicker scanlines are too thick on 1080 and under resolutions. I also don't use CRT shaders on 3D polygonal games, I prefer upscaling 3D games. Plus I don't play any 3D stuff from the 32 bit era at all, only N64 and newer.
  15. Yeah Hyllian and Hyllian-Glow are very nice shaders. I used to use Hyllian before I found Royale, it's also fairly light weight on the GPU requirements.
  16. I was contemplating replacing the joysticks in my X-Arcade tankstick with the Mag-Stik Plus ones but they wouldn't use the same holes so I am going to leave it alone. But if I ever get around to building a bartop or something for myself I would use them without a doubt.
  17. @Jason Carrfor your next cabinet I would like to recommend using the Mag-Stik Plus joysticks https://www.ultimarc.com/controls.html You can switch them between 4 and 8 way easily without having to open the cabinet to do so.
  18. 1. I believe it is because there may be certain files in the backup files that are useful to the rebuilding process. I am not sure about this though. 2. I cannot comment on this at all. 3. If you are going to download a whole new rom set at least wait til there is a full 178 (if it isn't out already) because it will contain the updated Capcom CPS2 roms with the .key file which Mame 178 requires to work.
