  1. Ill try and answer some of your questions but I certainly don't have all the answers for you because of things like I don't use videos or steam So question one and two I don't have an answer at all for you. Third question about details, I don't believe you can change it in non BigBox mode. In BigBox mode you could change it by modifying the theme files. Fourth, you would have to look for another box art picture that matches the aspect ratio of the one you want. Boxarts are displayed in the aspect ratio of the image itself. Just look for a new one and overwrite the old one in the \images\"platform name"\boxart folder. Fifth, much like the details that is part of the non BigBox mode and possibly editable in BigBox mode editing the theme.

If you have it loading through Demul on it's own here are the Launchbox settings for it. If not make sure all your paths are setup correctly in Demul for your bios and roms.
  5. Yeah there is so much shit that can be turned off to reduce ram and cpu usage drastically.
  6. What @Maddoc1007said right here is so right. So many times people think that because they have a ton of ram they can have a ton of programs and services running in the back ground. But they don't realize that it's not just using ram but CPU cycles. Keeping those services to only what you need and disabling the shit they don't need can boost a PCs performance by quite a lot at times. Love BlackVipers site, been using it for years to reduce my systems background services. In my recent crap computer build with Windows 7 the first thing I did was load up that site and go through every service in the services.msc panel and turned everything that wasn't needed off.
  7. Just doing some quick testing by skipping through systems and games and while it wasn't slow for me at all since a couple of beta patches ago it does feel a bit faster now. Just feels a bit snappier and crisp when scrolling though games quickly in BigBox mode.
  8. Nice, more speed optimizations are always appreciated. Will check it out in a little bit.
  9. Look in your mess.ini for the section: # OSD VIDEO OPTIONS The line window 0 Yours is probably 1
  10. Ok, so either your hard drive isn't being seen by your computer for whatever reason or the drive letter of the external drive changed.
  11. Are your roms being stored on an external drive ?
  12. You don't really need the -c "config/mupen64plus_libretro.cfg" for custom configs at all though you may for certain specific things. I don't use custom configs at all, I just set mine up to have "per core settings" in the configuration menu. As far as the controller goes Retroarch does a great job of just automatically using the Xbox 360 controller as long as it is plugged in.
  13. If you were a fan of Command & Conquer, Red Alert and Tiberian Sun then you will love Dawn of the Tiberium Age. Rather than trying to explain what it is exactly I will just copy / paste the description right from their website. "Dawn of the Tiberium Age is a stand-alone Tiberian Sun to Tiberian Dawn (C&C 95) and Red Alert total conversion for which we tried to capture TD's and RA's feeling as well as possible (both concerning graphics and gameplay) in classic mode, while giving the player improved game balance and a lot of fun new stuff when playing in enhanced mode. Since this is a stand-alone mod, you don't require anything but the mod itself to be able to play: the original game is not required." This is a free fully downloadable game that does not require anything else to play, just download, extract and run. Here is the website for it, just click the downloads button at the top and follow the links. http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-dawn-of-the-tiberium-age
  14. Finding the right bios can be a pain in the ass for sure. The first result when typing "mess bios" into Google has always been good to me.
  15. Put the bios file in your "Mess\roms" folder if that doesn't work you don't have the correct bios file.
  16. On a side note, depending on the shader you use it may look like shit with the 5200 using the Mame core. I like CRT-Royale and it does not look good at all with it.
  17. Yeah I still say use a stand alone build of Mess. I just updated to a 177 build of Mess and with BGFX shaders it looks great.
  18. I just tried that command line above with the rom file in another location and no luck. I will work on it a bit more.
  19. you mean something like ? -L "cores\mame_libretro.dll" a5200 -cart
  20. The biggest problem though is you cannot just have your roms wherever you want them to be, they have to go in the \content sub folder structure based on the system they are for.
  21. I did not. Nothing special to the command line parameter was needed at all. It is all folder structure and matching file names.
  22. HOLY SHIT!!!! I got it to work. I will try and do my best to explain it. I used this post here http://libretro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4990&p=33726&viewfull=1#post33726 to get it working. follow the folder structure. %RETROARCH_HOME% + - system + - - mame + - - - hash + - - - - a5200.xml + - - - - a5200.hsi + - content + - - mame + - - - a5200 + - - - - a5200.zip + - - - - spaceinv.zip Roms will have to be very specifically named according to the a5200.xml file in the hash/mame folder. Roms also HAVE to be in the \system\mame\roms\a5200\ folder. I tried with the rom in a different folder and it didn't work. Here is a screenshot as proof, though I still wouldn't do it this way.
