  1. Oh baby, much better on the switch times when changing platforms. Could maybe use a bit more speed but much MUCH better than before. Went from approx 5 seconds to switch platforms to about 2 seconds now.
  2. Weird, my set works fine in both FBA and Mame.
  3. Nice, going to download and check it out now.
  4. Hmm that is weird, not sure what would cause that then. 3278 isn't exaggerating, if anything you're a n00b compared to most people around here lol.
  5. Ok I Just went back over this thread and noticed something. In your screenshot of your bios files, one of them is incorrect. You have a "sega_100a.bin" file, this one is wrong. You need the one named "sega_101.bin". If you already have a bios file from somewhere else with the name "Sega Saturn BIOS v1.01 (JAP).bin" rename it to "sega_101.bin" Edit: God I wish we were allowed to openly upload bios files for people, this would make life so much easier.

  7. You can if you wanted to and couldn't use Mednafen for speed reasons but barring the computer not being fast enough for Mednafen there is no reason to use Yabause, the emulation quality is shit in comparison.
  8. Do other games for other systems work in Retroarch for you ? If they do then you have a bad Saturn game dump and you need to find a new one or attempt to repair it using CDMage. If other systems aren't working and crashing then you have a bad install of Retroarch and needs fixing. Generally with Saturn emulation right now if your emulator is setup right with the correct bios in the correct location games will work as long as they are in cue + bin format. If they don't work it's a bad dump or a broken cue sheet. Games will not work if there are music files like mp3 or wav files.
  9. Do you have the correct bios in the /system folder of your Retroarch install folder ?
  10. Just make sure you have the correct bios files.
  11. Well I can get WinKawaks to load a game by turning on "Don't use quotes" and "Use file name only" but it will not go into fullscreen mode. And if I put -fullscreen as the command-line parameter it breaks it and doesn't load the game.
  12. If that is the name of your iso file then I guess it is right. Like I said earlier, there is no reason to convert Saturn games to iso, all mine are cue + bin and they work perfectly as long as the dump is good to begin with.
  13. Did you edit the cue sheet to reflect the fact that is now looking for an iso file ?
  14. You don't need to use ClrMamePro at all, I sure as hell don't use it. This is what I will do though, if you don't have the internet capability to get an up to date NeoGeo romset I will download and figure out how to get WinKawaks working in Launchbox. But I do really recommend using Mame, Retroarch w/ FBA core or Final Burn Alpha itself which all use the same rom set. The emulation is much better.
  15. Is your romset really old ? Can you update your romset or are you on some awful internet making that not an option ?
  16. May I suggest you use something other than WinKawaks ?
  17. Unless I am missing something here you shouldn't be converting cue + bin to iso for Saturn games. The emulators support cue + bin.
  18. Rincewind posted a link above for registering to contribute to the database.
  19. I cannot disagree with @Freestate here. I would agree to slow down a bit on features and focus a bit more on getting current features fine tuned, database cleaned up and work on performance. More new features are always cool but sometimes they just need to be put off a little to do maintenance on existing ones.
  20. Gamecube probably, Dreamcast maybe if you use NullDC (Demul requires more power). PS2 is unlikely to be good, it's a fairly demanding emulator but your mileage may vary depending on the game. Something like Shadow of the Colossus will definitely be out of the question. The weak point in your system for emulation is your CPUs clock speed, at 2.4 GHz you wouldn't even be able to get full speed in Higan / BSness Accuracy since that requires a 3 GHz CPU. You might get away with BSnes Balanced core. Snes9x will run like a champ and so would BSnes Performance but I wouldn't use that over Snes9x at all. Go ahead and try them out though and see how things go for you.
  21. Very nice, someone figured a way to format the file system without data loss.
  22. Well obviously there is a way to get it off because it has been done my guess would be through Linux. If you don't have a Linux computer around to try that out you might be better off just looking for a download of whatever game somewhere on the net.
  23. Ahh you got the games on an actual WBFS formatted hard drive. We had this discussion come up before and I have no idea what the end result was. No clue how you can get the files off it to a normal formatted drive at all. All I can tell you is if you can get the file off that drive on to a normal fat or ntfs formatted drive they will import just fine.
