  1. You don't need to add games to Retroarchs playlists to use it with Launchbox. You can use a controller in Launchbox but it's not meant for it so it's wonky, BigBox (which is a premium feature) is what is meant to be used with a controller.
  2. Version 9.10 - Released July 9, 2019 - New Feature: You can now specify platform-specific default images for boxes, 3D boxes, carts, and 3D carts. Do this under Tools > Manage Platforms in LaunchBox and add images under the respective categories. Then refresh your game images and any games with missing images will use the default images that you've specified. - New Feature: Game-specific custom DOSBox versions can now be used for DOSBox games, instead of always using the version of DOSBox that is built-in to LaunchBox. You can find a new field for custom DOSBox version under the DOSBox tab when editing games, and it is also available in bulk edits. - Improvement: New Japanese translation thanks to @k_kutsugi from the forums! - Improvement: Added Viking's new Colorful 4K platform videos to the platform video downloader; they are highly recommended, give them a shot and then give Viking some thanks on the forums. - Improvement: Added default emulator settings for Cemu, PPSSPP, and Redream - Improvement: The Enter key will now launch games in LaunchBox - Improvement: You can now bulk edit the Broken field on games - Improvement: When editing an emulator and making it the default emulator for a particular platform, LaunchBox will now ask you if you want to change all games in that platform to use that emulator. - Improvement: Double-clicking on the video in the game details sidebar in LaunchBox will now open the video fullscreen with VLC - Improvement: When auto-play videos is disabled in LaunchBox, the videos in the sidebar will now display a black background with a play icon instead of an empty space - Improvement: The Big Box startup sound should now do better at not hitching; some themes may still cause it to hitch, however, and some systems may still struggle - Improvement: The Add to Playlist menu on right-click in LaunchBox is now restricted to only manually-populated playlists - Improvement: RAM usage has been reduced in situations where the user happens to consistently have lots of images displayed in the game details sidebar (in LaunchBox) - Fixed: Various places in LaunchBox and Big Box were occasionally using the operating system's language/translation settings instead of the language specified in the LaunchBox options - Fixed: Potential threading issue with music - Fixed: LaunchBox was not staying on the list view after a restart for free users (the list view became available for free users when .Next was released) - Fixed: The LaunchBox list view was no longer sorting by the Sort Title field when clicking the column headers to sort by a particular column (it just used the Title field from that point)
  3. If your rom path is set correctly which it should be since you have your roms in the \roms folder inside your Mame folder then the most likely cause of this is your rom set is either incomplete or incompatible with the version of Mame you are using. All of those messages are saying it cannot find the file it is looking for in the 1941.zip file. Either you don't have a 1941.zip file or the file is missing the files it is looking for or the files are incorrect.
  4. Yeah you will still have to do some disk switching, refer to the emulators documentation on this. This of course relies on the emulator supporting this feature and working correctly.
  5. Nope, you got it correct. Just make sure the file has the file extension .m3u, is in the folder with your cue + bins and the file names are correctly matching the .cue files and import the .m3u.
  6. It's possible but I honestly couldn't say for certain one way or the other, @Jason Carr would have to answer that.
  7. I just tried it as well with the default theme thinking maybe that might prevent it but it worked.
  8. Try what was suggested and supposed to work in this post: In Windows 10, the first step is to right click fusion > properties > compatibility tab > check Override high DPI scaling behavior>set the drop down to "System" or "System Enhanced". In Fusion, Video > Set Render Plugin > Scale x3 or Scale x4. Then set Video>Full Screen Resolution to whatever your monitor is. Presto. No more error. On a side note if this emulator does not close properly without exiting through the menu or doing a soft reset or something, it will NOT save your game on games that have the function built in, like Sonic 3. I recommend this AutoHotKey script to thwart hardship and woe: Esc:: Send +{TAB} Sleep, 1000 WinClose, Fusion
  9. How do you go from asking how to play Amiga games without a keyboard and mouse to babbling about Linux works perfectly fast and stable ? This makes zero sense in terms of your question and your supposed solution.
  10. Without any details on anything there could be a variety of things that could be happening. I suggest you look at any of the many tutorials on the Launchbox Youtube channel, especially ones that involve whatever system you are trying to emulate using Retroarch.
  11. I still say the differences aren't worth noting for a poll like this, it would be like comparing a Dual Shock to a Dual Shock 2 to a Dual Shock 3, for all intents and purposes they are identical in the way the controller feels and functions in terms of its analog sticks and d-pads.
  12. Ok fair enough but I hardly consider them to be enough of a difference to really distinguish them in a poll like this. Introduced with Xbox One S.Externally distinguished from earlier versions by texture & color of plastic surrounding Xbox home button, which now matches the rest of the controller body. This is extremely trivial stuff, the shape of the controller and buttons are identical.
  13. Aren't all the XBox One controllers the same except for the Elite model ? If I do a search there is no such thing as an "XBox One S" controller, just XBox One with all the colour variants, even the Xbox One controller I have for my PC has bluetooth. So if you got some information proving otherwise I would love to see it.
  14. No clue to be honest. I don't like using compressed images, I like having mine in their proper form for compatibility going forward.
  15. This is exactly the same as the XBox One controller.
  16. It sounds like you used the Full Set Importer which is meant to be used with full sets. If your set is not a full set then you need to use the normal import method.
  17. This is highly unlikely unless your drive is failing. A mechanical driver, even a slower 5400 rpm one is more than fast enough to push PS1 CD images through faster than the emulator needs it. Like I said above, all my emulation is on a mechanical drive and the drive is more than fast enough for even the slower to load stuff like Wii U and PS3 games.
  18. I don't know, i only run my OS and large open world games with significant loading times off an SSD. All my emulation is done on a mechanical drive and uncompressed so load times aren't a big deal. Personally I would be worried about having constant read / write cycles such as extracting files temporarily on an SSD and wearing it out faster than needed.
  19. Anything large and takes time to load benefits from being on an SSD.
  20. Yeah, use Dolphin. https://dolphin-emu.org/
  21. This sounds like you have not extracted your Mame download, it comes as a self extracting zip file which you need to extract to a folder first, then you can point Launchbox to that as the emulator to use. I would also highly recommend using something like Snes9x for Super Nintendo emulation, non arcade games are doable but the quality can be hit and miss such as with SNES it's not so good. Also emulating consoles and computers using Mame is a more advanced subject
  22. And that's why BRU is called BULK rename utility, you can use it to do lots of files, it's the best tool for the job you are wanting done. It's very powerful but does have a bit of a learning curve.
