  1. For instance, I just changed my hlsl to OpenGL and glsl shaders in the default options... then I am finding a bunch of games that did not change (I also have a dual monitor setup with one vertical). So, I am having to go through and change the same options for a bunch of individual games.
  2. DOS76 another question along these lines maybe you can help me with... if I change the default options it often doesn't change many of the games individual settings. Is there any way to get the default options to override everything else?
  3. Yeah, when I checked it earlier after reading your post it was, indeed, set to zero, so I changed it.
  4. I had mentioned this request in some other thread... there are a couple platforms I like to rename but it causes problems.
  5. I just changed it after reading your post but if I don't have any more problems I'll let you know.
  6. Thanks for the tip. I have the same problem sometimes.
  7. Antropus said For this first pre-release version, you will get *most* controls, but not all of them, as some filters are still missing as I research. In future versions you will be able to get almost everything listed. -Kris I'll be super happy just to get my arcade games up and running in LB, but I think it's great, also, that you are doing all this extra research to get things as accurate as possible!
  8. I guess the same would apply if you wanted to filter all clones, but you wanted to keep Midway Pac-Man or maybe a couple other important clones.
  9. That would be great... I was wondering if it would be able to do something like that. Also, would be cool if you could pick a combination of systems, or favorites folders, or whatever groups you want and combine them under one platform (called "arcade" or whatever)... that way you could custom pick your arcade platform (instead of having many platforms) (maybe this is already possible and I just missed it).
  10. I finally tried this with a Turbografx CD game and it even used the .srm (save) file inside the .rar. I'm assuming it won't write to the .rar file to update the save game, but I can always change save directories. *edit* I guess the main addition that would be nice is if Launchbox recognized that your .cue file was in the .rar file so you don't have to edit all the games in your collection to new .rar files. In other words my Dracula X.cue is now in Dracula X.rar (or whatever name) so Launchbox looks in Dracula X.rar to find the .cue file instead of having to edit every single game that you are changing to an archive. Maybe there's already a way to do this and I'm missing it.
  11. Will the archive opening feature work if the game files are in a directory within the archive (for example the .bin and .cue in a folder zipped)?
  12. Does ScummVM have any advantages over Dosbox, or run any games that it doesn't? Just curious.
  13. Ok, I'll try that one... I remember it in the arcades, but I don't think I ever played it.
  14. I tried it for some gun games too, and if you turn the sensitivity up it works pretty well except for the reloading. It's not really fast enough to keep going off screen to load.
  15. Off topic, but I was playing Space Harrier earlier and using the trackball for the analog flight stick controls and it worked really well. I may try it for some of the other flight stick games because it was pretty fun.
  16. Oh yeah, you are right... it had a weird spinner and a joystick. I remember I didn't like that game much in the arcade because you only got one life... lol. It seems to work fairly well with the 2 buttons to turn though. I was just playing some Heavy Barrel. It took like 3 stages to get put the gun together and you got to use it for like 10 seconds... haha.
  17. Forgotten Worlds was another one with these controls. It seems to work pretty well with the buttons for turning. Doesn't skip like Heavy Barrel.
  18. I've been doing the top buttons to rotate, but the seem to skip a notch pretty frequently, making it difficult to aim. I guess that may be the best option though.
  19. Yeah, you could do a joystick spinner combo, but you would still need to hit your buttons. With the original controls one hand controlled the movement and turning.
  20. Games like Heavy Barrel and Ikari Warriors had a joystick that moved the player but also the stick rotated 360 degrees to turn the player and aim your shots while you moved. Both of those games were pretty fun... there were some others with this control scheme too.
  21. For games with rotary joysticks (like Heavy Barrel) are you guys just mapping the left and right turns to a button? Anyone have a more creative/elegant solution for this? I'm using an X-Arcade... thanks for any tips you can offer.
  22. Oh ok... I see what you mean now.
  23. Doesn't LB have a separate snap and title folder in the snapshot folder?
  24. Oh, ok... I see that. Thanks guys. It doesn't look like it has an option for title screens though.
