  1. ah...really? If so...how I can remove games not playable in 0.221?
  2. I have done what i wrote in my post above and now my roms set is increased, from 2912 to 2944 games. So it seems that LB has detected the new roms
  3. thanks well, I have just updated the games database metadata. Strangely, the date/time is 01:00...but here (in italy) now it is 5:30pm... In any case, when I imported the first time the mame fullset 0.220, with all metadata, in this way: I imported 2912 games. Some days after, when I updated to 0.221 my mameUI fullset and i tried to re-import again the fullset (Tools --> Import --> Mame fullset Import) and no new roms were added. Someone here explained the reason here in the forum Now, could I try to reimport again the full set in this way Import --> MAME fullset import, in order to verify if it will add some roms? thanks!
  4. Hi Jason, but are you from the LB programmer team? well, your front end is absolutely fantastic I have a lifetime subscription also for Big Box, that is really really cool. Thank you! Ok I understood for the MAME issue. So, for example, LB probably will be able to correctly import the additional roms for 0.221 full set in the next weeks? Usually LB could support the new MAME release after some weeks after the official MAME release date. Is it correct?
  5. so the only way to correctly update MAME in LB is wait for a new MAME.xml version that consider the updated MAME.exe version. But unfortunately we can't know when this file is updated...
  6. Hi guys, we are talking about this topic also here: I hope that it could be help
  7. hi, well, I updated my LB to 10.15 yesterday evening, more or less at 10:00 pm (CET). If I check my mame.xml file, it is updated at 01:01 am, so it seems that it was updated before to LB update: I don't know why... In any case, currently we are not able to understand if and when LB will update its mame.xml file in order to correctly run again the full MAME import process. So, now, i could manually import the fullromset with the standard way (Tools --> Import --> Roms), uncheking all the Media. In this way, LB should automatically add the new roms and delete the not used. After that, I can use the standard function (Tools --> Import Metadata and Media --> Do not overwrite existing file) in order to download media only for the new added roms. Am I right? I hope that in the future LB will clearly show which mame version is currently supported and will provide us an easy way to monthly update it thank you
  8. thank you! really useful!!! Well, now in Final Burn Alpha I only have this files without video/box cover. https://i.postimg.cc/Lsk9fV6V/Immagine.png But i suppose they are bios or some other stuff...not real game. So, if I delete from LB these files, do the games which need these bios will continue to run correctly when launched with LB? I think they they still continue to work because they are present in the roms folder, even if i delete them in LB (Note: I don't duplicate the games imported in LB, i use the original copy of every game in my roms folder). thanks!
  9. thank you! well, today I updated LB to 10.15 version and the official MAME official 0.221 has been releases. I have already updated my romset with clrmame so, now, i I will import again the full set, it should add the additional roms included in the MAME 0.221 update, am I right?
  10. hi I'm checking, for every platform, the missing box cover and the missing video. I have almost finished but with MAME and FBA it is really boring...to many games to check. Is it possible to quickly retrieve, for each platform, only games with missing cover (and missing video)? in this way I can directly review them without sliding all the fullset... thanks!
  11. yes sure, but i discovered that my plugin.ini file is empty. This is the problem! But here in the forum sundogak helped me
  12. yeat, thanks! It works now!!! Do you have this emulator too? The PGM2MAME v0.193? If so, are you able to add scanlines? I dind't find any option many thanks!
  13. yes sure I tried, ma same error.... the plugin.ini file is an empty file...I don't know why...do you think that it appears the error message for this reason? thank you
  14. yes, I followed this guide: I use spectabis also with LB because with this frontend, i can use every game with its specific settings. For example, I set PCSX2 with some setting for 3Dgames and with diffrent settings for 2D games. In this way, with Spectabis, every game automatically starts with the right setting Unfortunately there isn't in Spectabis a specific command in order to exit from a game. Donìt worry, it isn't a problem
  15. hi, please, can anyone help me with this little issue related to a hacked MAME version? https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/54924-pgm2-mame-and-error-loading-pluginini/ the plugin.ini file is present and saved in the "ini" folder (\PGM2MAME v0.193\ini), so I don't know why, when I run the .exe file from LB, it appears this error message.. thank you
  16. yes sure, I have a lifetime subscription! I can download the themes in that page, many thanks! I have a little question, about Spectabis, the frontend for PCSX2 emulator: I mapped the EXIT command in Launch Box with L2+R2 button on my Logitech pad. It works perfectly with all emulators, but if I run Spectabis it doesn't work. I can't exit from a running game. Do you know if it is possible, only for a specific emulator, to configure specific command in order to do some actions? thank you
  17. thank you guys for all these info! ok, I think that I will use the platform themes from Unified Refried's. But in any case, if I want to download additional Platform thems (with the Launchbox option Tools --> Download Video/Themes), I see that LB chooses, for every platfom/playlist, a theme (1), from a list: Probably LB chooses the best theme for every platform. But for example if I want for all the platfom the same theme (for example Big Box cinematic), i can choose to Prioritize (2) this theme and LB will probably download these theme for each platfom. I think that I can save the additional platform themes in this path \video\platfom\not used. In this way, if I want to change a platform theme, I simply take the theme saved in "not used" and copy it in \video\platform Perfect, sure. I will download every platfom theme available fro Unified, but for the missing themes for Playlist (for MAME and FBA) I will use the themes available with the LB download section. I hope that they will work correctly with the Unified Refrie's theme
  18. wow! it absolutely fantastic! I will try it! So I can download this BB theme and it will be possible in addition to download platform/playlist themes thar perfectly fit with this theme, very good. In addition, I can download the default theme for platform/playlist with Tools--> Download Theme... So, I will have 2 different themes for each platfomr (one downloaded from LB and one with Unified Refried): it means that I can choose which theme I prefer to load in BB? I mean: i can download and save more than one theme for each platfom. Really good!
  19. don't worry, thanks. I'm using CAPTURA, it is really easy to use, I'm recording by myself the missing video, it is really quick As soon as I finished to download all the missing media files in all my platforms in LB, I will start to configure themes in BB, that is fun I would like to add games themes like these I suppose that they are available for every console/game, more or less. Currently in BB I still have the default theme, with no games themes, no system themes, and so on... And I would like to use a theme with wheels: I want every Platform/Playlist in a wheel and then all the games of each platfom in wheel
  20. ah! I usually update the MAMEUI fullset, not the MAME. FOr this reason I have already updated the fullset: i found the upgrade pack from 0.200 to 0.221 but probably it isn't official because MAME 0.221 isn't released yet. So, starting from next month, I will update my MAMEUI only when MAME too will be updated. After that, I will wait a new LB release in order to be quite sure that it will consider the new MAME version, am I right? But I still have a questioN: there is no way to understanrd if the new LB version can consider the new MAME version, am I right? Or is it displayed in MAME.xml file? thank you
  21. perfect, many thanks, understood. So, every month, at the beginning of the month, I update my fullset with clrmame. After that, it is better to wait a new LB version before to update the fullset in LB too, am I right? Unfortunately it is not possible to see in LB which MAME version is currently supported. in the MAME.xml file I don't find the mame version currently updated...I see only this: <?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?> In LB I have loaded the 0.220 fullset. And some days ago I updated it with your steps the fullset to 0.221. thank you!
  22. aaaah ok! thanks, it's clear! So,every month, when i update my MAME fullset, in order to update it also in LB, I only need to run again the full set import, unckecking ALL the media files. In this way, it automaticaly verify the new/deleted roms. After that, in order to update media files for new roms, I choose ALL the mame games, and Tools --> Download MEdia and Metadata, without overwriting the existing ones. At the end, in order to remove the unnecessary media, Tools --> Delete Media. Am I right? thanks!
  23. thanks, I solved the issue following this topic: and this video , see the last 10 minutes. , It works perfectly now! thanks!
  24. exactly, LB/BB are absolutly awesome! Now I'm adding missing extrafiles for some games: I have to check for every platfom/playlist, all the games without media and manually check again if they are available. For some games, video aren't available and I would like to record them by my self from the emulator. Do you know a quick method in order to record a video from the pc, when an emulator is running? thanks!
