  1. Just turn off updates in Launchbox and it wont try to update.
  2. I don't believe that has ever been a option, you have always needed to use the shell:startup folder.
  3. This is what happens when you purchase illegal hard drives from Chinese sellers where the entire drive is full of pirated materials including the software used to run it, Launchbox in this case. You wont get any further help with any issues from these forums.
  4. The emulator list is just some common ones and not a exhaustive list. As for the "error" that is not a error, it is simply saying that you need to tell Launchbox what platform the emulator is going to be used for, and you need to type that platform name into the "Associated Platform" tab that is on the same window you are currently on.
  5. If you ever see issues like this please tag @Jason Carr or @faeranin the post so that they can see it and can ban the user if needed. Just posting a thread like this will likely not get seen by anyone that can actually do anything to help the situation, as forum and database moderators have no control over this, it needs to be handled by a administrator of which the two users i tagged are.
  6. Of course. Game Media - LaunchBox Community Forums (launchbox-app.com)
  7. Its not possible, you would need a Windows emulator, its nothing to do with Launchbox supporting it its that a Windows emulator for Android is not a thing that exists.
  8. Unless they ran on DOS, which i know Half-Life did not, but i dont know about the rest then no. DOS games will run in DOS-BOX though.
  9. You would have to explain what you mean by CD-ROM, what system specifically is this old PC games?
  10. That's fine, the license is for you, not your device.

Lost Your LaunchBox Premium or LaunchBox for Android License? (launchbox-app.com)
  12. As the error states, you need to manually open those emulators and point them to the rom folder for that emu, then they will launch from Launchbox.
  13. You have the patience of a saint, but i see your saintly crack showing.

    Game and watch

There is a retroarch core. Handheld Electronic (GW) - Libretro Docs
  15. Load a game, set the machine setting you need, then go to quick menu/Overrides and save a "content directory override" that will only apply to the folder the currently loaded rom is from, so every time a game from that rom folder is loaded the correct setting will me automatically loaded. Repeat for the other two platforms.
  16. You dont need any scripts, just go to Tools/manage/manage emulators/retroarch/associated platform tab and choose the core you want for the platforms.
  17. There is no bug, maybe you should be a little more descriptive, but if mame is crashing then thats a mame issue, but its more likely your romset and emulator version do not match.
  18. Oh my bad, i missed that this was for Android. I believe emulators on android need to be manually added by the dev, in order to be used. You could try posting to the Android beta thread and ask if it can be included.
  19. You can type any name you like into the dropdown box, then just point Launchbox at the .exe, and add the platform it is to be used for into the "associated platform" tab.
  20. Launchbox does not support software list roms. There is a plugin in the downloads section that should help though.
  21. That background is a default background for when no art was created for a specific platform, N64 however will have art, so you have a naming issue with that platform in that the name you gave the platform does not match what the art is called in the theme, so it does not show. You can rename your platform to "Nintendo 64" or rename all the art assets in the theme folder to match what you called the platform.
  22. They will be in the right click menu of the game, thats the whole point you get one entry in Launchbox with all the clones under that game.
  23. I believe both of those emulators require you to scan the games in the emu first before Launchbox can use them.
  24. Do the logo's have the exact same name as the platforms do?
