  1. OK, yeah thats why i wanted to check as those volume values only work with VLC, they have no effect when using WMP. So the fact that they are not on zero and you have no sound in WMP also rules that out. Strange though.
  2. I know @Lordmonkus messes with MSU, so maybe he can elaborate on how he handles it?
  3. Just name the platform MSU but set scrape as to snes.
  4. This is the menu screen i see when i load 1942 for NES.
  5. That just sounds like you imported a Arcade game under Nintendo Entertainment System by mistake. Launchbox doesnt prioritise things in that way, it imports the games you specify to the platform you specify and using the emulator you specify.
  6. SL or Software List roms are to be used with MAME, they likely are not compatible with any other emulators.
  7. Go to options/view and make sure startup view is set to platform categories.
  8. You have probably already checked but it's worth mentioning, if you go to options/sound in bigbox are any of the values set to zero there?
  9. The image format was changed and the images compressed in size from the initial release, just get the latest version.
  10. Yup, Launchbox is a 100% legitimate, This is a business for the lone dev after all, so to the last thing he wants is virus's in his software.
  11. Also to add, the files flagged there are images, those may be changed, while the program is running, which again i'm afraid is the sign of crappy antivirus.
  12. Sorry i posted before i finished. Yeah there is nothing at all wrong with Launchbox, that is unfortunately a crappy antivirus issue.
  13. Hi @KnightRider, this is absolutely a issue with your antivirus.
  14. No probs, glad you got it sorted.
  15. If you change emulator for a platform you have to tell the games, that default checkbox is just for imports and as you already imported it wont change. Just right click the game and go to edit, select the emulator tab and use the dropdown to switch the emulator. As for retroarch you have selected the mednafen psx core, is that the on you are using? There are two, one standard and another called mednafen_psx_hw, so make sure you have the correct one selected
  16. Did you specify the Retroarch core you want to use in the associated platform tab for Retroarch? Also do you have the bios files? And thirdly in the associated platform tab is the name for the system EXACTLY as it is spelt in the left sidebar in Launchbox?
  17. I use one of these, best of both worlds. A good dpad and anolog sticks. https://www.amazon.co.uk/8Bitdo-SF30-PRO-Bluetooth-Gamepad/dp/B0748S3GXG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1545738140&sr=8-3&keywords=8bitdo+sf30+pro
  18. Uncheck "use file name only" in your first image.
  19. its the opposite axis to what you use to scroll the wheel, so if the game wheel is scrolling from left to right then it should be either up or down to get the A-Z.
  20. Make sure you do not have any of these boxes in the view dropdown checked.
  21. The database is open and any user can add information to it. just go to that link you posted and add the info. Once it is approved by moderators it will be available to scrape in Launchbox.
  22. Just edit the game and type in what you want.
  23. I dont think you need to, just 01-09, its not a Launchbox thing its how numbering on OS's generally work, anything below 10 is represented as 01, 02 etc.Even things like TV Show seasons have to be named that way in order to be in the correct order as you can see in this shot.
  24. You likely have them numbered wrong, they should likely be 01, 02, 03 etc.
  25. Also to add to the two reply's already here, you do actually have a MAME romset right? because you said this, Launchbox does not download roms, so if you were expecting that it did that will be why they do not work.
