  1. those are recently played, have you actually played any PS2 games?
  2. To be honest with you im not that code savvy, but lets pretend this would work. So $19 for the dev mode, then $20-$50 for Launchbox, then you have to hope that the emus actually work OK, (pretty sure its not as simple as just compiling them for uwp in those cases) then pray that microsoft doesnt say, oh hang on a minute......
  3. Nice idea, but i 100% guarantee you that Microsoft will not allow programs that allow emulation, it was briefly tried before with another program, and someone also uploaded a n64 emu, it didnt last long. Also emulators designed for windows will not automatically work on that crossover. Its a lovely idea in theory, and one i'm all for, but i dont see it ever happening.
  4. Controller companion is great and i recommend it any chance i get. However i havent used it with mame as mame lets you reassign anything you like. I should probably read the whole thread back but meh, what is the issue you are having with mame?
  5. There probably is a command for it, ill tag @DOS76 here as i know he messes with software list stuff sometimes. However i would advise you get a normal nes set preferably from no-intro. MAME is a Arcade emu, with some old computer systems thrown in from there integration with mess, but i would never recommend playing nes games in MAME.
  6. The folder name should still be in the edit window though right, so import with the real snes name then edit a game and get the msu name from the file path window there? A pain if you are adding a ton in one go, but if like @Lordmonkus you are adding games as they come in a lot easier to manage.
  7. When you copied the backup settings.xml did you rename it so it was just called settings, without the date?
  8. To add to what @Lordmonkus has already said, personally what i would do is import them with the original game name not the MSU name so that they scrape media, the just edit the name to what the actual MSU is called, and download monkus's box images to replace what the scraper grabbed.
  9. Yep, we answer this question nearly every day, associated platform and what you named the platform MUST match otherwise Launchbox thinks they are simply different systems.
  10. Make sure you actually have them selected in priorities.
  11. OK, yeah thats why i wanted to check as those volume values only work with VLC, they have no effect when using WMP. So the fact that they are not on zero and you have no sound in WMP also rules that out. Strange though.
  12. I know @Lordmonkus messes with MSU, so maybe he can elaborate on how he handles it?
  13. Just name the platform MSU but set scrape as to snes.
  14. This is the menu screen i see when i load 1942 for NES.
  15. That just sounds like you imported a Arcade game under Nintendo Entertainment System by mistake. Launchbox doesnt prioritise things in that way, it imports the games you specify to the platform you specify and using the emulator you specify.
  16. SL or Software List roms are to be used with MAME, they likely are not compatible with any other emulators.
  17. Go to options/view and make sure startup view is set to platform categories.
  18. You have probably already checked but it's worth mentioning, if you go to options/sound in bigbox are any of the values set to zero there?
  19. The image format was changed and the images compressed in size from the initial release, just get the latest version.
  20. Yup, Launchbox is a 100% legitimate, This is a business for the lone dev after all, so to the last thing he wants is virus's in his software.
  21. Also to add, the files flagged there are images, those may be changed, while the program is running, which again i'm afraid is the sign of crappy antivirus.
  22. Sorry i posted before i finished. Yeah there is nothing at all wrong with Launchbox, that is unfortunately a crappy antivirus issue.
  23. Hi @KnightRider, this is absolutely a issue with your antivirus.
