  1. You dont need visual studio for themes. I believe @CriticalCid created all his themes by just coding the .xaml by itself.
  2. I havent seen @Grila around to much lately, and of course i do not speak for him in any way. That said, i don't think he would ever give a release date, he is a done when it's done kinda guy, and as he said earlier in the thread he is actually making this for his personal use/build, with no guarantee of it being released to the community. Which is fine by me, @Grila has been a godsend here with the themes he has released and the general courteous and honest reply's to comments/requests on his other themes and plugins. If he chooses to finish this theme but keep it to himself, then that is entirely his choice, and i for one thank him for his contributions to this community thus far. So i would say at this point to not hold your breath for a release, but who knows. Also he already has some themes available for low specced hardware if that is specifically what you are after.
  3. Also if you are scraping the Launchbox database AND emumovies at the same time you will also get duplicate images as often the same images are on both services but with different hashes/file types.
  4. You have imported them to the wrong platform, you have them as PC Engine SuperGrafx, that is a different system to PC Engine. That is why it wont find the games, wrong system. EDIT: Import them as NEC TurboGrafx 16.
  5. Cool, glad i could help. Those defaults are there for simplicity of getting up and running, and for a lot of systems are the cores i would recommend myself, but not all of them. I use mesen as well for example and Higan for SNES. so if you ever want to change any just head there and pick what you specifically want to use.
  6. You are correct in your assumption,Launchbox has nestopia as the default core for NES, you need to change it to mesen. Go to tools/manage emulators and double click retroarch, go to the associated platform tab and find NES it will say nestopia. Double click that and it will open a dropdown of cores, pick mesen.
  7. I don't expect you will get any help on these forums for that issue, i would try the Lionhead or The Movies forums, or a simple google search of your issue.
  8. Yes you can manually add it, but it wont be added with the fullset importer as it is marked as "Prelimary" by MAME themselves, so is skipped by the importer.
  9. Sorry my bad, that was the previous poll, here is the most recent one.
  10. I thought that was pretty clear, but meh.
  11. @Lukeyboy67 I couldn't for the life of me get Cabinets to show by specifying that image type. So what i have done is specify Cart - Front for the Arcade startup theme just like the others, all you need to do is go to tools/options Cart Front priorities in Launchbox and check the box for Arcade - Cabinet. This will fall back to using cabinets if there is no Cart - Front, which of course there wont be anyway for Arcade systems, so it should just work as you expected. Just drop this .xaml into the theme folder. Arcade.xaml

    Supergrafx ?

No, it's in the dropdown list.
  13. The problem there though is exactly what @DOS76 said above, some games may rely on files inside of other completely non related game zips, just because a specific game is not imported doesn't mean that games that are imported don't rely on files inside those non imported games. That is the issue with a merged set. If you want to delete all that stuff you really need a non merged set. You can of course do as you please with your romset, but i will say now you may find you break imported games by deleting other files.

    Supergrafx ?

The clue is in the name import as SuperGrafx.
  15. Ring King should import just fine, at least it did for me. As for Dynamite Cop, that is a Sega Model 2 game so doesnt work in MAME. The MAME fullset importer will only import games that are known working in MAME.
  16. Ill have a look and see what i can do, it wont be today though as i'm busy.
  17. you can do this in the audit, just arrange by box front.
  18. for upscaling in emu's like pcsx2 its your GPU that is used, so that is your weakness with the specs you posted. That is only for the 3D based systems though, all the older systems only use the CPU and usually just the one core, so you want a high clock speed there, i see yours is at 3.0GHz that should be fine for most things but will struggle with some emus, higan and beetle saturn retroarch cores for example. i see its ai5-4590s and a GT730, is it a Laptop?
  19. Because it doesnt work with my CHD version, so it simply doesnt work for me. I like Redream, its simple to use and as i paid i can upscale and it looks great.
  20. You need to rename that bios, so it looks like the one i posted a image of, it needs to be called syscard3.pce.
  21. I use Redream standalone for everything that it supports, and i use Demul for the games it doesnt, which is all the WinCE games mostly.
  22. No not a rift, i got a Acer Windows Mixed Reality headset for christmas, and it works with steam VR and the oculus app with a bit of free software called revive. So i can play games from both stores on it.
  23. Or you can use a custom Launchbox theme, i use the plex theme and it always has this background.
  24. The easiest way is to set a custom background in the options, you just point it to a image and close and re-open Launchbox.
