  1. Lol, to be fair this is coming from someone who doesn't understand Linux either. I have just messed with it a bit as i have a quite old Intel NUC that didn't come with any OS, so i have installed all sorts of OS'S on it just messing about with it.
  2. Hi, feel free to upload it to the 3rd party apps and plugins section here on the site. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/5-third-party-apps-and-plugins/
  3. @martinconroy, in theory its no more difficult to map a network drive in Linux than it is in Windows. Obviously the issue you are going to have is that Kodi is the GUI for Libreelec, so no proper easy GUI to play with. Im sure if you googled you could find a step by step to do so though, just ssh in and copy paste the commands from your windows pc. You may need to switch ssh on in the libreelec options, its on one of the welcome to libreelec startup screens when you first install but is off by default,( i always switch it on there and then) but is a toggle in the options.

    4:3 or 16:9

Well i haven't built or own a cabinet so take this with a pinch of salt......You are correct in saying that most stuff is 4:3 in fact with a lot of mame games are even narrower than that. Most ps2 games are also 4:3 some offer a widescreen option in the options (god of war does for example) but most of those are not real widescreen as they just letterbox the image top and bottom to make it a 16:9 ratio image. You can with the ps2 emulator though "force" every game to be 16:9 even if they are not supposed to be by design, so you need to decide if that is something you want to do (not every game can be stretched and it causes emulation issues). My advice would be if you plan on playing actual PC games on this cab then get a 16:9, but if it is just for emulation then 4:3 would be best as 99% of games are that aspect ratio or less. Not forgetting of course as you said 4:3 is way cheaper. Hope that helps.
  5. No probs, yeah i have everything i need on a controller button lb rb for playlist/platform Y switch view, X switch box art, start is search, back is game details screen (as i have that off by default but use that button if i want to favourite/hide etc) and of course a and b do the usual. Anyway glad you are all sorted, have fun with BigBox.
  6. Of course you could try mapping playlist and platform to the same button, not sure if that would work but worth a try?
  7. Ah OK, sorry didnt mean to say you was wrong. @martinconroy looks like that is your issue then the addon is only going to look locally for bigbox at the moment, so yeah looks like you are going to have to deal with that terminal stuff @slipsystem posted above.
  8. I think Jason changed that when he implemented all the create your own playlist things so i think that is just the way it works now. I personally have them on the left and right bumpers so just a finger away. I use Y for changing theme views and X to change between boxfront/box3d etc.
  9. He is using Libreelec though and that works out of the box with samba shares, you just need to add source and either point it at your samba share if it shows automatically , or type in your ip/system name of the samba share and add it as a source. At least that is how i do it, i have a kodi addon folder on my windows pc that is shared on the network, i then pointed my libreelec to that folder so i can instal addons over the network.
  10. Well there is two ways to go about that, you can add them individually to images/platforms/nameofplatform/banners and they will work with all themes but takes a long time to do one by one. Or if you are sticking with the futurestate theme you can drop them all into one folder there, Launchbox/Themes/futurestate/images/platforms/banner. Just drop them all in that one folder, of course as i said they need to be named correctly for launchbox to pick them up. Hope that helps.
  11. Also i see you are using the reign stumble console image pack, if i remember correctly i think the ps1 image is named wrong and thats why it is not showing. Obviously it needs to exactly match what you have that system called.
  12. OK cool, well enjoy. also you might want to edit the post you put on the theme page to say you fixed it.
  13. Just watched the video that is weird, have you tried switching to the other video player mode, if you are using vlc switch it to windows or vice versa?
  14. It works for me, the only thing i can think is you dont have a playstation video.
  15. All themes have several different views and although those two pics look like the same view they are probably different views (one supports videos one doesn't). You can cycle through the different views in the settings, or set change view to a controller button i have it on Y. That way i can just hit Y to cycle the views. Also there is a option to have different views for different platforms and you probably have that option switched on.
  16. @martinconroy The way i would do it is to add your network share as a source in kodi, just like you would if you were adding movies. Then point this addon at the bigbox.exe on the network share.
  17. No probs, thats a great theme actually. I had it as my default for quite a long time.
  18. @flores9 I use a complete non merged set and a complete chd set. When importing i left region set to USA or north America (whichever one was default). I imported all clones (as launchbox should combine them into one entry) i skipped fruit machines, mechanical games and i think that was about it, it was a while ago now. Basically i tried to import as much as i could excluding fruit and mechanical games.
  19. I actually have my psx setup like that, for some reason it ran like garbage in my usual retroarch setup. So i just created another emulator called retroarch psx, used a fresh retroarch install with just that core installed. Works like a charm.
  20. Yeah i use A xbox one controller for Gamecube but a real wii remote and wireless sensor bar and a real wii classic pro controller for the wii stuff.
  21. Yeah, i probably should of mentioned it was premium, but he did say he was using BigBox so no harm done.
