Well if you download launchbox and go to the themes folder there is a pdf that should help with themes. There are also some youtube videos. Give me a couple of minutes and i will hunt them down and post the links in here.

Yeah i only mention the Ishiruka build because it caters to older hardware than the official release does, so older hardware generally means less powerful hardware also. So newer low powered machines should also benefit.
-
Again i have nothing to disagree with there. I think i have onenote on my PC, i have never used it, no idea what it does either. I just uninstall or remove from start shit i dont want or use, problem solved.
-
Beat me to it!! I was going to suggest the same thing there, i use the ishiruka branch and get much better performance on that vs vanilla dolphin, (mmmm vanilla dolphin ) admittedly thats on a dedicated gpu but gains are gains right, so i would assume as its such a new intel chip that vulkan would be supported and you may see better performance there.

Lol, sorry. I wasn't disagreeing with you at all, just saying that i dont think the general user really cares either way. I will agree with you that Windows 10 is not a crap OS, not by any metric, in fact i would personally go as far to say that it is by far the best OS they have ever made. I personally love it.
-
I am in no way saying Microsoft are in any way less shady than they actually are, but i would hazard a guess that 80-90% of people running Windows 10 got it as a free upgrade and haven't paid a penny for it. So i can sort of understand why they would like to get some sort of cash coming in from it after people install it. Doesn't make anything that they are doing right either mind, i would suggest that the people on a forum like this are power users and want total control over there system (i know i do) but for the vast majority of users its probably a non issue. I know for a fact my Mum is on the Creators update now on her laptop, and she couldn't give a toss about any of that stuff. Windows 10 works great on her laptop and that is all she cares about.

How to add video to game selection at big box manually
neil9000 replied to tedyanggara1412's topic in Features
Hi again, good to hear that you have videos all working now. Yes that is the correct location to place platform clearlogos, for that theme only though. If you want to use those clear logos on other themes as well you will have to copy them to the new theme as well. Yes that all seems correct though, they are in the correct location, you must also make sure they are named "EXACTLY" the same as your platforms, case sensitive as well. then you go to bigbox options/imagecache/refresh platform wheels and that should work. Hope that helps. -
In the 3rd pic where you add Ghost recon, on the right of the screen is a dropdown for platform, which you have set to windows, change that to uplay. That should then import to the correct platform and not create a windows platform.
-
Yeah but what im saying is you can just point your STEAM, and GOG etc platforms to pull the images and videos from the Windows image folder. So you import your platform rename it, which will unlink it from the Windows image folder. You can then go into that option i showed above and point the platform back to the Windows folder. So you will have a platform called GOG, but it will pull the images from the Windows folder which is where launchbox stores them by default.
-
In regards to linking the image folder after renaming you can go to tools/manageplatforms/platformname/edit and click the folder tab there and you can browse to any folder on your pc.

You can download them as a zip on emumovies, just click the top checkbox next to "download selected" that will check all the videos and download them as a zip. -

How to add video to game selection at big box manually

After you download the videos manually you need to place them in Launchbox/Videos/nameofsystem. If you get emumovies premium they will download from within launchbox and automatically be put in the correct location. -

HI, yes you need a emumovies subscription to download game videos in launchbox. You can also setup a free emumovies account at the website and download the videos manually, although that way you are limited to 1.5GB of downloads per day. Hope that helps. -
Yeah i only noticed it today, i only have one album in the folder, Far Cry Blood Dragon soundtrack, which has 25 tracks. When i opened bigbox it started on track 6 then proceeded to play the rest of the album in order until i went in to the options and came back out, when i came out of the options it selected another random track but then carried on playing in order again afterwards.
-
Just to add @Jason Carr I have also just noticed this today, starts with a random track then goes sequential after.
-
You need to launch a snes game then open the quick menu, either f1 on the keyboard or usually the guide button on a xbox pad. Once in the quick menu scroll down to options.
-
As @lordmonkus stated above the bsnes mercury cores emulate those chips in software, so try one of those. the balanced one is probably best, but if you have a good cpu in your system you can try the bsnes mercury accuracy core.
-
yeah if it works ok for you that is absolutely fine. I can only speak to my personal observations on my system, but i did notice a difference on my system, but every system is different and your mileage may vary.
-
yeah you only really need to re-do it if you change a lot of images or add a new platform. Once its all cached you should be good to go with no issues for a while.
-
I assume its not compulsory due to the time it takes, i know people on here who have 100,000+ games in there collection, that would take hours to cache.
-
Thats why i prefer having that on a ssd as seek times are quicker for me than the hdd i originaly had them on.
-
No its caching to your hdd, if you open your launchbox image folder you will find a cache folder.
-
No i dont experience those issues personally, except maybe if Windows is updating or something like that. I actually only have a 250GB ssd, on which i have windows, Launchbox and steam (allthough i install my steam games to other hdd's on my system). I have about 19000 games in my launchbox setup with all the images and videos for most of those games as well and my launchbox folder is currently about 138GB in size, but because all the relevant images and videos are on the ssd its smooth as butter, and just loads my roms from the usb drive.
