  1. The ability to simply search for an existing genre (EX: RPG) and pull up all such games across platforms at once (in Launchbox view), and be able to do a LIST VIEW afterward.... WOULD BE STELLAR
  2. Hi Dane, I just got passed 42K....omitting comics and video game magazines...are you importing only US/EURO sets or do you included japanese/latin games too? I only include translated to english japanes games, except my NEC-PCFX and some Famicom games (translated when possible), and go through great pains to get rid of duplicate versions, demos, betas etc..
  3. Why even post this, ""if I'm searching for Sonic games and get 6 results that aren't sonic games doesn't really bother me as I have a lot bigger problems in life than what a search box returns but I guess that is just me." - Yeah so do I....I can barely pay my bills sometimes, but I'd like to have a nicer search too because at least something would work right! :-)
  4. DOS76, An improved search feature doesn't matter have to conflict with the pressing a key feature at all...I like doing that too, I'm glad it was added, especially since I have so many games, but I'm not sure why has to be mutually one way or the other....a 2sec delay like wirtual82 suggested would work fine OR even having to click a new icon on top before topping to enable a better effective search (as mentioned before) would be ideal...
  5. Yes thank you! I download and combine all of it together.
  6. Thank you. If we are manually moving it into our collection, which I’ve done with the rest of them, we still have to run the setup.bat right?
  7. Playing Beneath a Steel Sky, when I save, I get no choice of where, and it saves to \LaunchBox\Games\MS-DOS\Sam & Max Hit The Road CD v1.11 (1994)(LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC) [Adventure] I do have this as my MS-DOS platform, but all my eXoDOS games are in my \LaunchBox\eXoDOS\Games I guess I don't mind game saves going in the top main path, but why the wrong game name???
  8. I use the stand alone version because there is a major input/gamepad bug I can't seem to figure out with my xbox 360 controller, only with it in Retroarch
  9. I wonder if anyone else would take up the mantle, and be willing to work on a 3-D engine for you. I wish I had that skill set.
  10. Anyone trying the new beta with a very large collection say 30,000 or more, does it make a huge difference? Just curious.
  11. I second that....it helps a lot.
  12. Any way to get this without choosing to allow beta installs?..I just want to run it since it's a separate EXE and try it out...
  13. Sure man, really appreciate it.
  14. eXoDOS, you said that Jason said that it would let me delete or hide them, but I have no way to filter them in Launchbox and see which games are which...I'll look around more...
  15. eXoDOS, would you happen to have a list of the adult games provided in your packages, specifically for 3.0+ releases...I just need to be aware of what to remove if I share these with my friends...some won't be into that. I think I found all of them that is in RPG and ADVENTURE, but I'm not sure....I only found one in Strategy (Teenage Queen) so far, but wanted to ask before I went though 1,367 titles... Thank you for all your help and your hard work on this awesome collection.
  16. FIXED it...ridiculous way too...There was another MS-DOS XML in platforms that I had RENAMED once to back it up, like MS-DOSpreviousversion.XML... I ZIPPED that file and deleted the actual XML, now it loads all games...somehow Launchbox was loading that despite it being renamed....lesson learned!
  17. That's extra funny since I work in IT and have for 20 years. Made me really LOL!
  18. size is 6,586kb for the MS-DOS.xml file
  19. Dated TODAY....being careful to only launch straight from the drive...only one I have on this path.....so odd....
  20. Could the issue be related to it not finding a file at this part that I posted before about, before the !dos copy process begins?
  21. I have 2.772 folders in L:\LaunchBox\eXoDOS\Games\!dos So they are there...for sure.
  22. Just tried again (after downloading the torrent over again to be safe) - same issue, stuck at 1400 MS-DOS games....copied over the XML file to platforms folder in launchbox :-( I wish I knew what I did wrong....I got the other two packs installed fine...
  23. eXoDOS, the STR.game file shows this as the first two lines....is this wrong? <Game> <ApplicationPath>eXoDOS\Games\!dos\PrmMan3\Premier Manager 3 (1994).bat</ApplicationPath>
  24. back to like it was originally, at only 1400 MS-DOS games...I don't know what to do at this point....UGH
  25. so after this my launchbox changed from version 8.1 to 7.4, I canceled the launch of it, and reinstalled 8.1....results to follow....
