  1. Version 1.3.0

    155,390 downloads

A set of 155 (with more to come) platform videos, that I have created to match perfectly with my Refried theme. I have used the same character,Background, and border art in the videos, that is in the theme, for the majority of the videos. I am sure it's obvious where the influence came from for the theme, but, this whole thing started out as an alternate version to the Unified theme, which sort of took off and became something slightly different overall. While I do have plans for about 60+ more videos to add to this set,I am afraid I cannot take requests,at least until the project,as a whole, is completed. A special Thank you to @RetroNi for allowing me to use his white bordered logo set, with a few changes, for the titles in these videos...As well as @CriticalCid for giving me the unspoken inspiration to even start this project in the first place! Samples - Super Nintendo Entertainment System - Sega CD - AAE - Capcom CPSIII - Pinball FX2 - Nintendo Virtual Boy - Microsoft MS-DOS - The Main Theme can be found here... The Logo set can be found here...

A set of 22 Favorites Playlist category videos. These are subjective to the persons taste in games,so I included games that I prefer as favorites in the videos. Some may or may not agree with the choices used in some of the videos, but, this was made for my own personal setup, and If anyone wants to use them as well, I figured I would just make them available. At this time I have no plans to add any more of these...but,If I get the itch to make the category bigger,I may. The style of these videos matches the previous sets I have released Genres and Collections And the Developer Video set here....

  4. Works good now...Thanks for straightening it out!
  5. @Jason Carr That is correct. I am reffering to Big Box. While browsing through Platform Categories,it lags loading the assets. First my marquee stuff pops up,then the main screen populates with video and info. The time it takes for this to happen is longer or shorter depending on the category. Longest time is about 8-10 seconds total for categories that have alot of platforms on the second level. I have tried turning off the marquee,as well as switching to wmp for video playback, both resulted in no change to the behavior.
  6. Just want to verify, that after removing all but a few Collection playlist xml's from the data folder, and starting bigbox, and moving to the Collections category,in the Platform Category menu,it no longer suffers from the lag. So,it is most definitely tied to the amount of Platforms/Playlists in that category.
  7. @Jason Carr Hey...So I would first like to say that I did not experience this issue in 8.7,or any version previous to that...this only just started happening in 8.8,and has continued in 8.9. I have a bit of lag when switching through Platform Categories (Arcade,Consoles,Handhelds, etc.),but,I do not get this lag while browsing Platforms (Atari 2600,Atari 5200,etc.). The amount of lag seems to have something to do with the amount of Platforms that are in that category. This is only a guess, but, looking at the behavior,it looks to be the most probable reason for it. When I go to Arcade (which I have roughly 30 Platforms/Playlists),it loads up in about 2 seconds...when I go to Collections (which I have about 270 Playlists),it loads up in about 8 seconds....when I go to Pinball (which has only 5 Platforms),it loads up almost instantly. I have tried multiple themes, and they all show the same lag in the Platform Category View, but not in the Platform View. I did reinstall 8.7,and it did not have the problem anymore, but,I switched back to 8.9 because my platforms were all messed up when I rolled back,I assume due to all of the changes made between the two versions. I also updated windows, and my graphics drivers are up to date.I have not tried the latest beta. It is run off a cabinet. No Firewall,No AntiVirus,No Adware Blocker....I don't even use the web browser on that PC. If you need more info,I will be happy to provide it,Thanks. PC Specs: Intel i3 4350 / 16gb ram / GeForce 1050GT / Windows 7 Pro
  8. Finished the videos for all 155 currently supported systems....here are Computers,Handhelds, and Pinball
  9. @goofersseems like all I have are the 2 default bezels below.I did see the couple threads you posted under, and that you were working on making some, and I also grabbed the pack of 18 bezels for mame that are available...but,I still have to implement them into rocketlauncher myself. Here is a link to the google drive, but, you probably already have these ,as you posted in that same thread... https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Z-XWMVh4IsW_uAOklrwSa3idPFe9zJug
  10. Finished 50 console videos...now onto handhelds.
  11. I am actually looking really forward to the Cabinet set you guys are making...glad someone is taking on that task. Thanks for that
  12. I don't think I do,but,I can check tommorrow morning.Taking a break today,out with the family,celebrating my 40th birthday.
  13. Arcade videos finished. Also,a screenshot of the Main Platform view I threw together.
  14. A few examples from the Refried video set...I should be finished with 62 arcade platform/playlist videos by the end of the day, then I will move onto consoles...
  15. While waiting for testers to finish up,I started working on the Videos....here is a pic of one...
  16. Just to be clear with anyone who prefers the wheel fading...there are four views for every platform.. 1.Character Art View 2.Box/Cart/Disc View with fading wheel 3.Box/Cart/Disc View without fading wheel 4.Text Games View So both options are intact. For systems with only carts, views 2 and 3 will not rotate the carts...for systems with only discs, views 2 and 3 will rotate the discs
  17. The wheel does fade when box/cart art is displayed. The main theme uses 3 wheel views, and the addon themes only use 2...so there is room to add another view in. I suppose I can have a look at adding that as an option, but, the box and cart would require a drop shadow or glow to at least set it apart from the wheel,or it will overlap and look messy.
  18. Ok..so testing is going well, and some issues were found, yet they have been fixed...I will give testers some more time to check out the updated files, and if I receive the OK from them, then I will release the theme,as well as the add-on themes, officially. On another note,I will release a platform wheel set that matches the logos I am using in the theme, thanks to @RetroNi for his hard work, and permission on using his wheel set as the base. I also plan to make platform videos for each platform using the artwork from the theme to match, and they will resemble the unified video themes that are currently in circulation already.I do not have a time frame as to when I will make them, but,I can say that they will actually be easier to make then the actual theme was,and having the art already cut and cleaned should streamline the whole thing. I have some patreon work to get done after I finish this theme, before I follow up with any more projects.
  19. Any changes to the default theme code will revert back the next time you start launchbox. You could make a copy of the default theme folder, call it something else, and use that theme. Then your changes will stick. Take note, that unless you change all references to the default theme,so that they point to your copy,it will still look in the default theme folder for assets, but, you can alter the views and stuff.
  20. Excellent....I will message all three of you guys with a link,as well as a few instructions, shortly. That should cover testers.
  21. Uploading what I hope is the final version of the theme,as well as all the addon themes,to my private server. After it is tested,I will have the official release in the download section. So who wants to test the whole thing out? I need a couple brave souls.
  22. Thanks...While I still don't have an exact release date yet,I can definitely say everything is very close to being done.
  23. There are now 221 Backgrounds made for the theme...they have a more uniform look then the traditional ones that came with Unified originally. There are 3 styles...Arcade,Pinball,and Other, with multiple color mixes for all. Some examples below..
  24. So specifically the "View Genres" menu...I see...that wasn't made clear at the start. I do not believe there is a way to display them, unless it is built into the themes specific view xaml...which I also don't believe most theme makers bother with because it's not really a priority. Even if they did, there doesn't exist the proper media for that many genres, and it would still look barren. I just scrolled down my genre list, and there are at least 150 genres listed...and most media creators only cover the main 25-30 genres.
