angelobodetti
Hi All, Was wondering if anyone is using Citra for 3DS and what their thoughts are? I had it up and running a few months ago but the lack of controller support was annoying so I haven't touched it in a while. Curious if people are using it and if anyone is using a build with controller support - not using xpadder...
DOS76
I set it up checked it out for about 15 minutes and haven't been back yet and that was months ago
d3cyph3r
I use the bleeding edge build with Keysticks. Still no controller support, but I had issues with Xpadder and none so far with Keysticks.
SentaiBrad
It's not in a usable state yet, it's more proof of concept and testing at this point, but it seems promising for what it can do. Nintendo emulation is moving fast thanks to previous consoles using similar enough hardware that backwards engineering was a lot easier (I theorize). Lordmonkus
Yeah it's a promising emulator but not something I would consider usable yet unless you happen to be lucky enough that the only games you want to play are on the short list of "fully playable" games. cleverest
Any idea guys what command line to use with CITRA (using bleeding edge build) and although I have to use the mouse to click and keyboard, Fire Emblem Awakening seems to be fully playable at good speed (I have a 3.4ghz i5 PC, that may help, I'm not sure..) When it opens up it just opens the emulator but doesn't load the game....
SentaiBrad
You don't need one actually, I just tested the latest bleeding edge build. Bleeding edges get installed to C:\Users\<insert your name>\AppData\Local\citra. I moved the installed version to my 3DS folder, changed the emulator exe and it launched just fine. cleverest
Awesome, I wasn't moving it into the correct folder and launching the downloaded file thinking that was the EXE....stupid me... Anyways it launches now, but it loads on the very top left of the screen, I have to drag it into position each time...any ideas?
SentaiBrad
That just sounds liek the default location. Setting it and closing the emulator should set a place for the location and save it for next time. That's most likely a Windows thing. There is software you can use to manage windows like this (I use DisplayFusion for this and actively use it on RetroArch), but only if it isn't behaving then try that software. cleverest
Still can't get Citra to remember last window, always opens top left, have to drag it and snap it to center...wish there was a command line to maximize, maintain aspect ratio or something
SentaiBrad
Not getting it to save the position, is most likely a windows bug. There is software that can help, I use DisplayFusion to help me control certain windows (like RetroArch I have it center each time it opens), and the software helps with multiple monitors. In the end though Citra is very very early on, and it shouldn't be considered anywhere close to being out of the Alpha stage, so there is little help we can provide because things are going to be changing drastically over the next year anyways. As tempting as 3DS Emulation sounds, it's going to be a while yet before it's going to be reliable.
zardoz2626
Hello there is a new Video tutorial for citra without Rocket Launcher
Aevans0001
@zardoz2626 Thank you for the tutorial! I never knew you could line the second screen to the lower right! When setting up the emulator, if you choose the hide console window, it will not flash the cmd window!
zardoz2626
You welcome simple tutorial but effective Hey thanks for the tips ? gonna check this out
perkel666
Citra got HUUUUUHE boost to emulation speed and if you have Nvidia GPU most of the time game will work at 100% speed. AMD gpus have problems though with stability. If it will run then it will run if not then it won't.
DOS76
lol don't you hate when you go to emphasize a point like this and then misspell it. 2 minutes ago, perkel666 said: Citra got HUUUUUHE boost to emulation speed and if you have Nvidia GPU most of the time game will work at 100% speed. perkel666
lel yeah i just noticed. Either way for me at least 95% of 3DS games work at full speed, i5-3570K@4,7Ghz + GTX980 Only two games out of like 30 i have don't work at 100% speed. MH4U and MH3U. MHGenerations/XX on other hand works flawlessly.
DOS76
I've seen good improvements but I have quite a few games that play terrible but I also have considerably more games than

All it does is force the emulator to go fullscreen and close Citra when you press the Escape key. Hope it helps SetTitleMatchMode, 2 WinWaitActive, Citra Send {f11} ~Escape:: SetTitleMatchMode, 2 WinWaitActive, Citra Send !{f4} return
Chris Kant
do I have to use these AHK Scripts within LaunchBox - Emulator Settings or somewhere else?
