If you do happen to see this happening again send me your debug logs and maybe something will jump out. Thanks for the help. And I'll provide whatever I can if it helps you diagnose something. It's probably an edge case as I haven't noticed others report the same problem. I've ran chkdsk and stuff. One thing to also point out is that I keep noticing the odd art image mysteriously going missing whenever I use the "Games missing media" thing in the side bar. That's what I meant by refreshing. I have all the box art, clear logos and screenshots for all of my games in LB so I instantly can tell what's going missing when 1 or 2 images delete. Unsure if that's related to the image corruption thing. Just let me know which files to zip up and send to you so you can have a better idea of what's going on. Quote

Whenever you select "Games missing media" in the side bar it automatically clears out the cache-LB folder. It's the artwork itself that gets corrupted or deleted, not just the cache files. But the cache files do record the corrupted image data and are displayed in the LB game grid as glitched. So whatever is happening is destroying the source image data, not just the file, as in the file doesn't fail to load in an image viewer, but it's all glitched upon viewing. The deletion issue is another thing, and I can confidently say none of these things were going on in the stable 14.0 release. But it may still be an edge case as I have my LB setup on an external USB SSD, a SATA SSD in a case type one. Whatever has changed in the beta has made it so that my particular type of setup is susceptible to these issues? I'm no programmer tho so I don't know. 1 Quote

Can you confirm a few things for me? What is your windows scale (DPI %) set to? How many monitors? Are they all at the same % scale? Which one of your monitors is LB running on when you see this? Which exact LaunchBox.exe did do the override on? LaunchBox\LaunchBox.exe or LaunchBox\Core\LaunchBox.exe Thanks! @MysterNybble Yes, you're right! It's the poster art and basically all the game details, and everything that’s displayed—the menus, and so on. - Windows Scale to 150% - One LG OLED C1 TV as Monitor - i override the LaunchBox\LaunchBox.exe I really hope it can be fixed, as the new version is truly great—but, of course, it doesn't look right as it is now. Thanks! I am unable to reproduce this, but your screenshots are very obviously something forcing a 100% visual up to 150% thus why your flag 'fixes' it - but I have no idea why it thinks it's 100%. Some debug things I'd like you to try: Install a new copy of LaunchBox to a new folder, let it find some steam games/download media/etc. and without changing anything, does it look correct or blurry? Turn your compatibility flag off and open your original blurry LaunchBox, open Task Manager -> Details -> right-click a column header -> Select columns -> choose DPI awareness -> now tell me what it says next to your LaunchBox executables for that new column Does Big Box do the same thing? Thanks! Quote

Thanks, please do: Send me the logs next time it happens if you can notice it How that image was loaded (did you download it in app or place it directly), was it correct when it was first there, and if you did anything else during that session? Tell me if you have any plugins that may be touching images as well Your setup isn't unique, but your symptoms do appear to be (which is why I keep going back to disk health, but you said that passed) so I'm not sure what would be causing it yet. Yeah, as soon as I notice another corrupted image I'll send the latest logs. The Monkey Ball image I sent you was actually gotten by the SteamGridDB scraper plugin. But the corruption affects images from all sources, and only png files with alpha pixels like logos or 3D boxes or disc art. I've never noticed one be a JPG, if that narrows anything down. So since this happened a couple months ago pre 14.0 in a beta, and then suddenly fixed up in the stable 14 release, I don't think the plugin has much to do with it as I only installed the plugin like 2 weeks ago. Around 9:20pm in the logs, while attract mode was running, something else took focus, which pauses the music and videos, and Big Box came back when you clicked a few minutes later. Nothing in the in the logs so it's possible something else grabbed focus. Anything else running on that cabinet (Steam, LEDBlinky, controller software, Xbox Game Bar, whoknowswhat)? For the slow launch, the loading screen normally closes when the game's window appears, so the black part looks like it could be MAME itself starting up, perhaps waiting for some drives to spin up? If you send the logs from one of these where it happens? Do you know if this is new for 14.1 betas or was it happening in 14.0/before as well? The slow start on the first started game just started happening recently but not sure if it was last beta or the one before that. Here is a video using Retroarch and same thing happening. I’ve attached the logs and the video. Also for the freezing due to losing focus that just started recently as well. I never had an issue with it losing focus but I will try and see what’s taking focus on my end. The black screen after that appears to just be RA's own window before it shows the game and MAME sort of did the same thing. If you know how, can you reboot (to reset all the windows caches), then try running RA/MAME directly to load the game to see if somehow this is something in RA/MAME. 2 hours ago, Jabb3rJaw said: @MysterNybble I am also having an issue with PC games.
