Could you post a screen shot of your leaderboard? Not sure I understand at this point why you wouldn't be able to draw all 10 on screen. Do you have any scaling turned on in windows?

Sounds like that is the issue. In our testing of various screen ratios/resolutions we never had the leaderboard NOT display all 10 before. What screen ratio/resolution are you running?

Yeah, some of the titles in your recent activity are quite long, I believe you saw it, isn't something some one would/could make up. Was curious if the aspect ratio or DPI was playing a factor in it or not, which is why I asked.

What game were you seeing this for and what screen resolution are you running? I pulled up your profile on mine and saw you do have some long labels but can't get anything to cut off.

Are you having issues where the 10 items aren't all appearing on the leaderboard at the same time?

Go to Tools > Manage Emulators. Find Retroarch, go to the "Associated Platforms" tab and you can change the core there.

LaunchBox uses string comparison to rank titles so as @neil9000 stated you WILL need to append a 0 for double digit sorting. We do not attempt to parse integers out of the file name for sorting purposes as it creates a lot of overhead that isn't really needed. If you want to keep the name displayed without the extra 0's you can enter the title with those in the sort title field of on the edit screen and they will then sort as desired.

I'm confused, what is the end goal? What are we trying to do? Make the entire image bigger or smaller or something else?

You need to run updates against the computer as well. Those should be installing and updating the file it is looking for or attempting to use. also is there anyway you can send me a screenshot of the error. Want to verify what system is throwing the exception.

You can manually add titles to Launchbox. When you press add via the button bar or right click in the content view and press add it opens an edit button not tied to a game yet. You then point the "Application Path" to the .exe in question and fill in anything else pertinent and then hit OK. Game should work fine after that.

I haven't delved REAL deep into that XAML file but I would assume you could edit that file to do what you wanted. Making the alignment tags says "Stretch" instead of "Center". To my knowledge though there is no setting in the options that will do what you are looking for.

What directory is LaunchBox saved to? The thread you mention talks about how that error code is related to file structure permissions, want to make sure that isn't the case here. Also, please make sure you are NOT running the application as an administrator. If you could attach an image of the error message you are seeing.

In Big Box go to the system menu (Esc when Big Box is first loaded), select options and go to the General tab. There are several options in there that hide game's for various reasons. Please ensure that one of them is not causing your issue.

Been a minute since I've done it but I believe that if done via the audit screen that pop up does not appear. I haven't verified that though and could easily be talking out my butt.

Can you load it from the Game Detail menu before you get into the game?

Can you try to go to the view menu and then select the "Refresh Missing Media" option (Ctrl-Shift-M) and tell me if they reappear?

Could one of you take a look in your Launchbox directory and tell me if you have any directories called "Playlists" or "Platforms" in //Launchbox/Music/Background/ and if so how many files are in those directories? (if a folder is under this directory pick the one that corresponds to the platform you seem to have the most problems with, otherwise just pick one.)

To echo @Lordmonkus manually build the image cache. Then ensure all drivers are up to date. Then make sure Windows is up to date. Then make sure 3rd party process scan software isn't running that could impact performance (ie MSI Afterburner etc). Then make sure your new PC doesn't have power saving mode on and it is set to "conserve power" on the USB slot your drive is on. Get through those steps and the majority of your issues should go away.

Yeah the option I showed doesn't display the text UNDER the box art, but does always display the text.

Need to have your bottom bar shown (Ctrl-Shift-B). Right next to the add button is a check box that says text. Make sure it is checked and the text will now appear.

This thread came up on my activity feed. Decided to do some testing and can confirm the bug. My apologies to those affected by it. I will make sure it is added to list so we can correct it.

This is the field I am talking about in regard to series (accessed via the edit game button). To then create the auto-generated playlist, set your filter type to "Platform Category" and go to the place you want the playlist. Right click, hover over add, select "Add Playlist". Then in the third tab ("Auto-Populate") check the box and do something like this: Then moving forward when you edit a game's series or add a game to than series it automatically is pushed to that playlist. To easily find games without the series filled in, turn on the "None" filter option, then select the "Series" filter and select "None" and you will only see games that are missing that data point. Can then use the search bar to help find key words to make finding the titles in question easier.

This doesn't answer your question but out of curiosity, why are you creating playlists for Series instead of using the Series field? You could then create an auto-gen playlist where Series contains the value in question if you really needed the playlist.

Keep up the good work. Theme looks beautiful. It reminds me a lot of the "encyclopedia" type reference books that are popping up all over the place. My kid is really into those type of books (loves his Mario and Pokemon reference books) and think he'd appreciate this theme quite a bit. The ease of access this theme provides makes it ideal for me when letting people not as familiar with retro games and my collection play on my rig. I find it provides a lot of good information cleanly without a lot of fluff getting in the way to further confuse the already overwhelmed new user.

Many TV's can now do this automatically. Almost any modern day smart TV does as well as many at home streaming hardware (a Roku for example). To see if you have something available in Windows go to the notification button and then select display. Should see something about projecting your screen. If something on your network is accepting input it will be listed and you can just stream to that monitor directly. This doesn't really address you wireless controller issue but I'm fairly certain they make USB dongles that act as a receiver that you could use to help bridge the distance.
