  1. As a guess I would say your PC monitor and your TV have differerent refresh rates. Settings-Video-Output, wait a few second until the "Estimated Screen Refresh Rate" stops getting higer and press return on it to take over the value as vertical refresh rate. Save and Restart Retroarch. As far as I know Retroarch uses this value also for sound calculations.
  2. Can confirm: Deactivating the Savegame management removes a lot of pressure. Loading times on start are back to an acceptable level and there is also no minute long cpu/hdd activity afterwards.
  3. That is the case for a lot of CD-i games. As far as I know there is still no emulator or option available to get around this.
  4. Not solving your exact problem but watch out for LHA files instead of ADF disk images. Those are HDD installed games. I changed my whole collection and in 90% of the cases such a file is available. You have way faster loading times, no disk changes and less space is needed. Cannot tell you a source here but there are sites out there specialised in so called WHD Amiga roms in LHA format.
  5. 13.17 with 20.000 roms: 22 sec startup time on i7 gaming notebook with fast m2 SSD and 64GB RAM and cache on a RAM Disk. I would say from the hardware perspective you cannot get more performance out of Launchbox.
  6. Try to deactivate the Auto-Import feature and remove any third-party plugins.
  7. Right klick on the specified plattform on the left side > edit > in the Folder tab double check if your games folder points to the correct position
  8. Manage > Emulators > Retroarch > edit > second category on the left: uncheck extract roms for the FBNeo there
  9. When I update the metadata of all games and uncheck all media, then after finishing the process the graphics cache will be deleted and all images have to be cached again. Why?
  10. Will it someday be possible to update the metadata for all games just for a selected field? At the moment you have to mass delete the content of the field and do an update over all fields afterwards. For the media it is allready possible so it is not logic to not do it this way for the metadata as well.
  11. I also get thousand of PlayCount entries. Seems to be normal (but kind of strange) I got another error of a missing file "\LaunchBox\Core\Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.XmlSerializers.dll" (never deletet anything and I'm on the latest Beta). Can anybody upload that file here please? 2024-10-15 02:50:42 PM FIRST CHANCE EXCEPTION: Could not load file or assembly 'Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.XmlSerializers, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null, processorArchitecture=AMD64'. 12. I second this. Even with the fastet m2 SSD, fast CPU and 64 GB RAM and the cache files residing on a RAM Disk the performance is not optimal. To get background information for this topic: How is the %-ratio of lifetime to regular license users of launchbox?
  13. Sounds nice. Is it possible that you upload your metadata files somewhere so I can import them with that:
  14. 1. Right klick on the SNK Neo Geo CD plattform on the left side > edit > in the Folder tab double check if your games folder point to the correct position 2. Manage > Emulators > Retroarch > edit > second category on the left: uncheck extract roms for the NeoGeoCD/FBNeo there
  15. Yeah I meant Plattform. It works like you described. Thx Case closed.
  16. Stupid me in the past put all SuperNES and SuperFamicon Games in SNES category. Years later, I want now to move the SFC games into a seperate SFC category without losing the statistics (play count/time etc). Is it possible to move games from one system category to another in Launchbox?
  17. Fantastic Tool. Thanks for your work. My wish for a future version: blacklist to exclude unwanted games permanently
  18. How? Ctlr+Alt+S in Launchbox (Hide Scrollbar) seems to have no effect at all (13.17 Beta1). Scrollbar is only hidden in the Sidebar where the Systems are listed. Maybe a bug in Launchbox?
  19. Exact same configuration as User krako13 posted in his video on June 30. If the problem is the Scrollbar maybe it is possible to get rid of it completely?
  20. Amazing theme, but I get the same "dancing" of the game detail like the other user a few posts above. It happens aprox on 1/5 of the games i click.
  21. Beside you meant SideBarView instead of GameDetailsView it worked me. Thanks
  22. Sorry for digging up that old post, but I have the exact problem with the overlapping search combobox on top of the screen like that user had in the past. I searched through SideBarView but can't find the spot. If someone give me a helping hand, please?
  23. Hi, I would like to say thank you for your work. I used the Web Version and now the Plugin version is even better. It would be amazing if you could implement a blacklist. The user can tick a missing game to blacklist and that choice would be saved into a local file. So when I open the plugin the blacklisted games wouldn't show up as missing any longer.
  24. - Pirates (C64 & Amiga) - Super Mario World (SNES) - Sensible Soccer (Amiga) - Turrican (C64 & Amiga) - F-Zero (SNES)
