Wow, good to know @Merbow; thanks for the update. I'm guessing it has something to do with DirectX's XAudio library and bad or conflicting audio drivers.

@ekdikeo Should just be a matter of dropping them into the LaunchBox\Images\Arcade\Arcade - Marquee folder (or whatever folder you've customized to use for your platform).

Odd, sorry for the late reply here @Marcos Saraiva. Try increasing the image size on the right of the bottom bar. I'm wondering if maybe the image size is set too low. Your screen DPI setting is higher than the default, which could be causing the problem.

New beta is out guys with basically a bunch of fixes (but also an addition or two in there): - Updated VLC and included more files to (hopefully) resolve previews crashing for some people? Unfortunately this also significantly increases the size of the downloads. - Removed EmuMovies platform downloads from importers because now it makes much more sense to do it via the new Download Platform Theme Videos dialog - Resolved a bunch of issues with the "Scan for Added ROMs" features; this could use some significant testing - File name is now available in Big Box - Added support for @Nyny77's Cinematic 4K videos - Probably more I forgot Thanks all.

We just fixed the previewing for @viking's videos; they just had to be re-encoded for streaming. What EmuMovies videos are causing you problems?

Big Box should already show the completed icon if a game is completed, but I do still have it on my list to add a Mark Completed option.

Hi Maddoc, we adjusted those particular themes to require a hardcoded image type on the wheel tag for the theme. So you can change it to whatever you want by adding the ImageType property.

Hi guys, I fixed some of the moderation bugs last night, but probably haven't caught everything yet. We still have all the stats but we archived some of the historical data in order to help with performance. We have it on our to-do list to make the stats work properly with the archived historical data.

Great to hear @ckp. I believe there are several driver versions, and it should work properly with at least one of them, but I can't keep up with them all lol.

@ALIE It should overwrite your existing files in that case. Yeah, I am hoping to add support for multiple videos per platform eventually.

@ALIE Currently the game folders are recursive, so it will find everything in subfolders as well. It probably should, but that is an interesting scenario that I hadn't thought about. For the theme videos, I just added prioritization in beta 15.

That's the goal, yup. Only ROM-based platforms will be scanned though. Also, currently, Arcade/MAME is hardcoded to skip everything but the standard set (no casino, no adult, etc.).

@heelsinc This will scan your ROMs folders for anything new that isn't in LaunchBox yet and prompt you to add them.

Sure, well thanks for the purchase @b00sted and welcome! Go into Tools > Options > General > Updates in LaunchBox and check the box to update to beta releases. Then just restart and you should be prompted to update.

@damageinc86 Absolutely; we'll get there. I currently have a video placement bug that is causing problems with exact video placement, but that is on my plate to resolve and should help to enable that kind of stuff more easily. Very cool @Kriven; great to hear. It's neat when things just work even when I didn't even plan it out. New beta is out guys with some really exciting stuff. @circo has added @CriticalCid's platform theme videos to EmuMovies and they are now available as "Unified" videos in the Download Platform Theme Videos dialog. I've also added @Nyny77's and @viking's videos in as well, so there are some really amazing options in there now. Even better, you can prioritize any of them that you want so it's really easy to choose whatever you want for your videos. Finally, I've added previews that will let you stream the videos to VLC to test them before downloading! Woot woot! Check it out and let me know how it's working:

Yes, we definitely need to come up with a vertical theme. At this point that might be best handled by one of our amazing theme builders from the community though, as they've already proven to build prettier interfaces than the default theme. Let me know if anyone's interested; I can also help out if you need any hardware.

From the looks of that error, I would guess that @b00sted is not running the betas.

@Kriven Wow, good question. That might actually work just as a side-effect of the images stuff, but I didn't build it that way on purpose so honestly I'd have to test it. See if you can give it a test. New beta is out guys with quite a bit of new stuff. Cid's recorded Hyperspin game theme videos are now available from EmuMovies, and you can now also download them from within LaunchBox using the regular import or download wizards. I'm really excited to finally have those available for everyone. Huge thanks to @CriticalCid and @circo for finally getting them available to us despite all the red tape. There's now an option in Big Box to prioritize the theme videos over the standard game footage vids. The Download Platform Videos screen has also been improved; it now supports EmuMovies videos (Circo is in the process of populating them all and adding more new vids). I've also hit up @Nyny77 and @viking to get their awesome videos added in as well. This should provide some amazing options for videos. Finally, Tools > Scan for Added ROMs is now live as well. Let me know how it works for you guys, and let me know if it finds any files with file extensions that it shouldn't find (such as save states); I need a good list of file extensions that should be ignored. Let me know if anyone has a good list of those. It's still a work in progress but should work for the most part. Oh, lastly, there are quite a few new views for Big Box that have been added as well, which should allow theme creators to create some spiffy new views to support those recorded themes. Thanks all!

50 total. Yeah, it can be fairly large, but I'd recommend keeping at least one of each type just in case you run into an issue.
