  1. Hey @adweade, PayPal tells me your email is (redacted). No, you certainly don't have to be a forum member in order to receive your license.
  2. Hi @adweade, sorry to hear. Looks like your PayPal email is different than your email on the forums here; I'm guessing that's the problem. I'll send out a new license to your email that you use here on the forums. ...and sent. :)
  3. Thanks joshua, welcome. Yes, when I add support for videos, I'll make sure it supports multiple videos.
  4. Try turning off your VPN?
  5. Hi guys, I just looked into this. Unfortunately Tapatalk doesn't yet support our forums engine (Simple:Press). Looks like it's been requested for years, too. :/

Hi Etock, yes, that is still planned, but the priority is admittedly fairly low. It was clear to me that the home theater view was the #1 request by the community, and it had been requested for ages, so that is my current focus.
  7. Sure, though I'd rather not have to add custom logic for automatic region detection. Probably what would work best would be to just require non-US users to change the platform names using Manage Platforms where appropriate. Everything else should function fine as-is, I think.
  8. Well, the point would be to stop *malicious* apps. Unless they've changed their minds, LaunchBox has always had full permissions to use TGDB.
  9. @bd00's solution works, or you can create an Additional Application that looks like this: That probably gives you less control, but will get rid of the black box. ;)
  10. Yeah, it's probably the VPN. And the captcha is definitely what is causing the problem. No idea why TGDB would do that...
  11. @bd00 Hehehehehe. Good questions @Kriven. I'm honestly not entirely sure what would be best, so it's up for discussion. In general, I would think that if a Japanese version of a console plays the same games as a US version, then I'd call them the same console with different names. But of course that can be questionable. Per release date, I'd probably use the first, global release date. It's all up for discussion though.
  12. Thanks @Syriacn. I do have videos like that on my to do list. It may more likely end up in Big Box Mode before the desktop app, but it is planned. Per EmuMovies, that's another thing I have on my to do list, but I'm not sure the priority at this point, nor do I really know about the feasibility of it (whether EmuMovies would be willing or not, for one thing).
  13. Gonna try and get all these images updates in the new beta for tonight. :)
  14. Thank you appollo. I certainly enjoy it. :)
  15. Hey all, been a few days, I know. Been working hard at getting an options management system going for Big Box. I'll be putting out a beta tonight with a few more options. ;)
  16. Hi @whoozwah, welcome. I'll add that to my to-do list. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to do it currently.
  17. Unfortunately, that's still on the to do list. Probably the easiest thing to do right now is to import them as DOS games. Then you can batch edit them to make them ScummVM games, but you'll probably still have to manually edit each one in order to match it to the proper game. :/
  18. Brad, upgrades from an i7 would probably be a minimal increase. But upgrades from that E6500 should be much more significant.
  19. Okay, sure. That is probably pushing it. I work on improving performance all the time, but that is a big challenge for such a graphical frontend. I suspect in your case that your CPU is the bottleneck here. I'll see if I can get back to performance for large libraries soon. In the mean time, the only thing I can suggest to help speed things up would be to use separate instances of LaunchBox for each platform. I know @bd00 has done this in the past, and used another instance of LaunchBox to "launch" all the sub-instances. This is far from ideal, but that's all we've got for the moment for such large collections. However, I can say that upgrading your hardware (specifically your CPU) would do wonders for improving performance, of course.
  20. Hi appollo, welcome. :) Are you using the ScummVM tab in add/edit? The process is really just a matter of checking the box to use ScummVM, browsing to the game's folder, and selecting the right game from the list.
  21. Hi Bil, welcome. How large is your library? What are your machine specs? That performance is pretty poor, so hopefully I can get it resolved. But first I need to know how the specs. :)
  22. Hello all, we need a proper set of platform metadata for all platforms. I started tackling this, but it was a bigger job than I envisioned, and was taking significant time away from development, so I stopped. The trouble with collecting platform metadata is the data is often hard to find and not always correct. TheGamesDB.net has platform metadata for all its platforms, but it's not always accurate. Therefore, it's best to cross reference information between several different sites to validate the information. Wikipedia is also a decent source, of course, and Google usually fills in the gaps. If you're interested in helping, it'd be much appreciated. The easiest/best thing to do is to simply populate the fields for the platforms in the Manage Platforms dialog inside LaunchBox, and then you can send me your LaunchBox.xml file. Let me know if anyone is interested. :)
  23. Very cool, thank you guys. I'll get the rest of the images tested and added soon.
  24. Lol. I keep putting it aside. Maybe I should ask for the community's help. It's actually more of an undertaking than I figured it would be.
  25. Ha, great idea @bd00. I love it. Any other ideas before I jump on that one?
