Then we've just had less traffic for the last few days? Which might actually correspond to EmuMovies being down. We saw odd trends when EM went down, we're apparently reliant on them. xD When the forums do get their upgrade, trust me, you'll really notice.
-
So the MAME Importer is automatically shown based on the emulator, not the name of the platform. I've had this wrong apparently. So you need to either check that box I told you about, or use MAME as the emulator (the same one you had on the list), and the MAME Importer will run.
-
Within RetroArch no. The program that I use is DisplayFusion Pro to center the program. That's generally a Windows issue, and I can't explain it.
-
Wikipedia is broken. Their API is not built for our purposes so don't rely at all on it. The only two scrapers that are for sure are the LaunchBox Games Database and EmuMovies. That said, if you drop your own images in to the folder you'll either need to restart LaunchBox and / or refresh the cache with the option in the Tools menu. As for adding them during the editor: You can right click -> add image, or click on the box with the type of image in it, select the category then drag and drop your image on to it.

It should automatically be using the MAME Importer, but that final screen you hovered on, yes check that MAME Box. You hovered over it with your cursor. That's the box I was telling you to check. Do that, and right after the MAME Importer should pop up.
-
Click a game, then Ctrl + A to highlight them all, then right click delete.

Did the special MAME Import screen pop up when you imported your games? It should have had check boxes and asked what region of games you preferred. I am actually importing my MAME Rom and CHD Set right now and it's working. This is the screen I'm talking about: https://i.imgur.com/9G2RnXb.png

To be quite honest, I have absolutely no clue. xD That is something I haven't even started dealing with yet. Introducing XAML to everyone was our answer to people wanting a specific view or option in BigBox, Jason simply can not code every possible variation. There is a XAML Tips and Tricks thread on the forums, you may have better luck posting in there. Notepad++ is great for editing code, and Visual Studio is the main way you can visually edit XAML themes. There are alternative GUI Theme Editors for XAML, but Jason hasn't tested any of them. You could also browse the Theme's Master thread. The first post I try and keep up-to-date with the awesome themes our users are creating, and it will link out to their threads that have descriptions, video's or screenshots.

Do you mean Lightspeed? No, I don't. When importing your games simply just call the platform Arcade or check the box to "Force MAME Importing".
-
No, the platform just needs to be called Arcade or you check the box during import "Force MAME Importer" and it should work. If you call it something other than Arcade you'll also need to use the Scrape As function to Scrape it as Arcade once all of the names change over.
-
The views and options are all there, but this may be something that doesn't exist. This is something that can be pulled off with the Theming engine which everyone has access to, if you are so inclined.
-
Yes, you need to import your MAME games under the platform name Arcade and it will use the MAME Importer. The MAME Importer mostly exists for this reason. This is something covered in the tutorial.
-
Sadly no. When the forums are upgraded though you will certainly notice. There just may be less traffic right now if I had to guess.
-
Use the add button in the bottom right hand corner of LaunchBox.
-
You need to import your MAME Set under the Platform name "Arcade". Do that and it will use the proper MAME Import function. If you need more help watch the tutorial on MAME on our YouTube channel. To get there click the link in my signature or click the tutorials link at the top of the forums.

CHD's are Images of Hard Drive's, so think of them as ISO's of Hard Drives. Some games were released like this, where the rom (the zip files) reference the hard drive files or some games were bootable from the hard drive. So some games will require these and some games you only get with these files. Gauntlet Legends is a good example. If you grab the MAME .175 Split Rom and CHD pack, when .176 comes out all you need to grab is the respective split .175 to .176 packs. Sorry If I seemed a bit short there, I thought I had explained it well enough but I apologize I didn't. It just seemed like part of my message was ignored, but I realized I may not have explained it well enough, so I am sorry. If you do have any more questions I am more than willing to answer them.

What exactly are you trying to? Open up to fullscreen each time or just make the window centered? Personally, I use DisplayFusion Pro for multiple monitor support, but it also has options to open and move windows to which ever location you want when they open. I have explorer.exe (Windows its self) opening maximized each time and certain emulators like RetroArch to make sure they're centered on my main screen when they open. Otherwise, RetroArch can be put in to fullscreen with F.

If the files are getting put back in the proper location then during import all you need to do is select "use folder name".
-
For PBP's it will convert Iso, bin and I believe mdf files. MaxCSO is the one that requires them to be Iso's.
-
Derek, if you mean games that have audio files or extra bin's that are apart of the same one disc game, then no I didn't compress those. I only had a few of those, and just didn't touch them. Everything that was a disc with bin / iso / cue / ccd / sub etc files I converted. @billyc999 Well these are for PS1 games, and it did suck going 1 by 1. As for PS2 specifically there is a tool called MaxCSO that I used, and I got it set up where I used the windows search function to search for "iso", so I renamed the maxcso program to "maxcso iso", and i sorted by size. I then dragged and dropped several games on to the exe at once and it spit out the proper cso file in to the proper folders. Those need to be ISO's, so I had to convert a lot of bin files to iso's first. For PSP CSO games I used YACC which has a batch converter, but doesn't support files larger than 1.9GB (It might be 2.9) because no PSP game gets larger than that.

@DOS76 I used PSX2PSPv1.4.2, which was game by game, 1 by 1. It took me forever... Well, like 4 days. I had the stat for how much space I saved, but I had to put my PC back a week with system restore and lost it. It was something like 400GB's across 700+ entries in LaunchBox? @billyc999 PBP's were developed for PSP, which is why they uniquely work. They're just a container with an instruction set, but tailor made for PS1 games that just happen to be ran on a PSP. They run flawlessly with the Mednafen core for RetroArch and you have some actual benefit to using them. It's why I put my PSP and PS2 games in to CSO's as well, just minus the multi disc support. If you have a way to batch convert them then please share. I spent way to frikin long on mine. You probably couldn't batch convert multi disc games, because you need to specify disc 1, disc 2, etc, but that would save someone a ton of time if the compression and method are accurate. With the tools I used (PSX2PSPv1.4.2) you can also convert them back to their bin / cue or iso / cue format as well incase putting the game in the PBP breaks the game.
-
I put all my PS1 games in to the PBP format recently. Removes the need for cues, compresses them without putting them in to pesky archives and combines multi disc games in to one. RetroArch reads these natively with the Mednafen PS1 core and you can swap discs with a key combination. So that is my honest suggestion for multi disc games. Otherwise, use the additional apps feature so that you have access to the multiple discs in one entry, or do what I did before and just import everything. You can display the file name in the game details bar so you can see which is Disc 1 and Disc 2 easily. There is also the PS1 tutorial that you can watch. I would honestly suggest watching more of the tutorials as well.

Unless it's some wild bug (which rarely happens), it's a mismatched setting some where. Make sure to download the proper core, make sure the default command line parameter is set correctly, make sure the games are imported under the proper system, make sure that exact system name matched the Associated Platforms list (especially for RetroArch) so that LaunchBox knows to use the proper command line parameters.

There is a RAM Cache in the option that you can raise and lower, if that's what you mean.
