  1. No there isn't, but you're not the first to ask for something like this. I believe there is a Ticket for this on the BitBucket too. Image Priorities goes a long way in to filling gaps, but it's certainly not exhaustive. The closest you can get to is sorting by LaunchBox Games Database ID. There will be a bit of overlap with games attached to EmuMovies because they don't get an internal ID attached to them, but it's the closest for now.
  2. Do you have the 175 MAME set of games in your MAME roms folder? And you imported the games properly under the "Arcade" system and used the MAME Importer? Opening and closing generally means the game is bad or the BIOS are wrong. If you cdownloaded a MAME 175 split or merged set it is possible that you just didn't use the proper MAME Importer in LaunchBox and are trying to launch a game file that you aren't supposed to launch.
  3. Nah, you're not an idiot. Knowing that an emulator has it's own method is still really good to know because sometimes Controller Automation doesn't exactly work the way it's supposed to or some emulators have dialogue boxes that need to be clicked on to go away. Sometimes pressing your Controller Automation buttons again will make the dialogue go away, sometimes there are options to remove the dialogue or the emulator has it's own close function that bypasses the dialogue.
  4. We do have a bug with some games not wanting to import right now outside of the MAME Importer and we're looking in to it.
  5. There is also a built in solution in LaunchBox and BigBox: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGj6tKxCKbM
  6. They also want you to have shipped games as a director. It's a vicious cycle. Want to apply for a job like this, but must have experience, but must get job to have experience, but must have experience to get job... Yea. I would love having this job and I could probably do it to be completely honest, but that's not gonna happen. xD
  7. This has been a thing forever, and has a BitBucket ticket already I believe. I don't think it was ever a bug, but rather intentional. However, I think most users would rather it changed anyways.
  8. That's the thing though, OS Upgrades shouldn't be predicated on "If it's not broke don't fix it" necessarily. Upgrading from working OS to working OS is extremely common. I did it from 7 -> 8 (8.1) -> 10 and each upgrade worked flawlessly (7 to 8 was a fresh install). Each OS has their own odd issues, but every single OS does. So each time there will be some specific things to change, but if you have the right software it's very easy to make each OS do what you want it to do and you can easily do that with all 3. Unless it's really old software, which has issues running on 7 and 8 anyways, then most everything else was already working on W10 out of the box or updated fairly quickly. The inherent OS Security updates, the better performance, if you like the UI (which can be changed to a certain extent), the OS can take better advantage of newer hardware, certain software only being usable on the latest, hell even BigBox just inherently runs better on Windows 10 and it was nothing we did specifically it was just what Microsoft was able to do with the updated OSes architecture. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying anyone has to upgrade, if you really don't want to then you really don't have to, but the decision is not about it not being broken. It should be the same philosophy for any OS, Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, iOS.
  9. For what...? Still about the controller automation? I am working on my CHD pack. Once that's done I can import it and test it.
  10. Make sure that the associated platforms section is also correct. Make sure the platform name here and in LaunchBox matches, make sure the command line to load the core (-L) is correct and pointing towards the right core, and make sure the core is downloaded. It could also be that the BIOS and Game are both bad rips, which is very common.
  11. There was a bug of them not switching, but if you're on the latest beta then it should be switching just fine. When themes are out of Beta I will be making a tutorial on how to enable them.
  12. Is this editor based on the latest version of XAML?
  13. Legend of Zelda, Fallout, Tales of JRPG's. Top 3. :P
  14. That's awesome Amy! I've always wanted one of those tablets and this is badass.
  15. I'm sure we can get you set up, but yea something like this makes total sense. I let Jason know.
  16. Putting it in the startup folder is one way, but there are better ways to get it to start and we have users who have it replace the Windows Explorer shell actually.
  17. You don't have to do either of those things. Did you watch the tutorial for SNES on our YouTube channel? The Online Updater inside of RetroArch downloads all the cores you need and all of the settings you can change inside of RA too.
  18. The GBA versions are better, but I still want them on Steam, I think they're fine.
  19. slashguns04 said SentaiBrad said I could create something if people want. can you tell me how to change the video size in the picture? I would like it to be displayed as launch box in a smaller format I don't know. I've never done anything with XAML.
  20. I want the rest of the Final Fantasy games, but I can't afford more. xD I seriously spent way way too much and my wishlist is gigantic. X_X
  21. So what exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to put artwork in to your Image folders to supply your own NES and SNES images? Check to see if the Image folder paths are left at default if you edit the NES and SNES Platform under the Edit Platform window. If you did supply it in the right location, and everything is named properly, did you restart LaunchBox or refresh the cache in the tools menu?
  22. I could create something if people want.
  23. I don't think Steam would allow us actually, because of our focus. GOG may not either, however sellers that offer regional pricing so someone doesn't have to pay extra is a really good idea to be honest, and it's something we've only kind of looked in to. It's very difficult to get it right.
  24. Yea, hiring someone to do unrelated tasks from Jason and myself will help both of us be able to do what we already do better. That is something that we proved is great. I off loaded a lot of responsibility from Jason and thus development picked up (also helped he went full time with this). Offloading even more should mean more time developing, even if it's only an extra hour or two a day, that could mean 10 bug fixes or a new feature, or over the course of a week new forums. xD
