  1. So for the full set importer, since it lets you skip certain categories to import such as mechanical, unplayable, casino etc. (and there is a LOT of bloat in a standard MAME full romset nowadays), would it be possible to either let us delete the roms that are skipped (since I'm only filtering them because I don't want them) or at least let us move the roms that are imported to somewhere separate so I can delete the rest of the roms that I choose to filter? I hate the idea of just keeping around a bunch of broken/unplayable/gambling games for the sake of a "full romset." EDIT: Also, an option to detect which games don't have the required .chd files and either filter them or notify the user of the missing file?
  2. So to clarify, the new importer will only work if you have a full romset? If not, can there be an option to only import the roms that are actually present?
  3. I can also confirm that the single-click launch bug is still around. Honestly the only reason it's a big deal for me is that whenever I delete a game, I have to manually delete the video associated with it. I wish Launchbox had an option to delete all associated media when you delete a game, it'd make my life a lot easier. Has anyone else had issues where when you scroll up or down with the mouse wheel in .Next , it seems to go slower than in OG Launchbox?
  4. Nope, I'm just using a single monitor. But it might have something to do with clicking outside of Launchbox and back in, I'll have to test. EDIT: Yup, that's the cause (or at least one cause.) Any time I click away and launchbox loses focus, when I click back into launchbox the game that I click gets launched as if I double clicked.
  5. I'm having a weird issue where sometimes when I single-click on a game to select it, the game immediately launches. I'm 100% sure I'm not double-clicking it, and it's only ever happened in NEXT, not OG Launchbox. Has anyone else seen this?
  6. Does using a shader like this affect the input lag noticeably? I'd fiddled with the shaders in mame a few years ago and it made it really hard to play
  7. Huh. Looks like Brad finally deleted them. I messaged @Jason Carr on Discord about it, hopefully we have another copy laying around.
  8. This is pretty much exactly why I rejected them as well.
  9. Yes, it was for games that I was specifically launching using an application path of "steam://rungameid/******" , which I've done for countless games before.
  10. @Jason Carr no, it's happening in both versions. I'm wondering if Steam changed something behind the scenes?
  11. For some reason, I'm no longer able to download Steam Trailer Videos when importing Windows games. Steam Banners still work, but no videos.
  12. There's no list, unfortunately. I know that all the U.S. releases for NES are added, as well as everything for Atari 7800 & Virtual Boy (apart from the odd homebrew release here and there) but I haven't fully checked any other systems. DOS isn't complete but it at least is 100% compatible with the 2.0 eXoDOS collection. Most 8, 16 and 32 bit systems are essentially complete, but there's always the odd obscure release that gets missed.
  13. It's funny this was brought up, I was just thinking about this after reading this thread on the emulation subreddit. I primarily use retroarch for my emulation for a number of reasons, one of them being the amazing glsl shaders that are included. Being able to recreate the actual feel of the tvs and monitors of the time goes a long way towards making the experience accurate, and is the way it was meant to be played. Scanlines are a stopgap measure at best, but they don't really do the same thing. I'd post image links but I'm on mobile right now. My point is that I think including a fork of dosbox that supports some truly advanced shaders could be the missing piece of the puzzle needed to make eXoDOS the definitive DOS experience. Just my two cents.
  14. I think at the very least a reason should be required for game deletion, and perhaps it should require like 5 instead of 3 approvals just to be safe. If you've looked at the arcade platform you'll see that some of the games there have deletion disabled, and I think that we should have a way to do that for games that there is literally no reason to delete. Not sure what it should be, but yeah I'm afraid of that happening to some games.
  15. On that note, I'd give anything for a dark theme for the database. My poor retinas...
  16. I wouldn't worry about it, the region requirement is more for actual box art.
  17. In my experience the Arcade platform isn't limited to just MAME compatible games, so I think that some overlap is perfectly fine. As long as the game was in the arcade in some way it's fine.
  18. Sounds good. I can see you've been progressing pretty steadily. I can't go at nearly the same pace as I did with the eXoDOS collection, but I'll get started at the back of the alphabet and move to the front. Fortunately, there are a lot less games in this collection than in eXoDOS.
  19. And on that note, I'm FINALLY finished updating/uploading all the games from the @eXo DOS 2.0 collection to the database. Please note that any games that have changed / been added in the 3.0, 3.1, or 3.11 releases haven't been added yet because I am only mortal. I'm probably going to wait for the 3.11 release of all 5 volumes before I do them. Maybe I'll do the Win3x0 games now? I don't know, I'm tired...so very tired... Funnily enough I started doing this so that eXo wouldn't have to do as much work importing the collection into LaunchBox, but now it looks like the collection will already have all the metadata/imgaes included, so I guess I just did it for me? Sigh.
  20. I hear you. I at least try and make sure anything interesting gets an entry, or any Steam games I purchase, but it's a massive uphill battle. At least with Steam games Launchbox automatically imports the Steam banner and Trailer, so there's something there when they get added.
  21. Fair enough. I haven't used Launchbox Next enough to say for sure whether it's still an issue, I've been waiting for a couple more features to be implemented.
  22. WOW what a meltdown. That was impressive, in a train wreck kind of way.
  23. That's really clever! I love it!
