  1. This is terrible news. You were a huge part of LaunchBox for me. Your RetroArch tutorials helped me finally set that obtuse program up correctly (I finally gave up on Super Game Boy though, lol, it still never worked.) When I had concerns about...issues...with LaunchBox, you were there, and I appreciate it. You've been responsive, perceptive, and attentive, and this place won't (and can't) be the same without you. If you're ever in the Los Angeles area, hit me up, we'll grab a drink.
  2. Windows and DOS versions could be VERY different from each other. It's worth noting the differences, and keeping them separate. Check out the games in the eXoDOS/Win3xO collection if you're curious to see how different they can be.
  3. I'm REALLY happy to hear that. Our DOS section kind of sucks right now, and I was always really impressed by the amount of metadata you have in eXoDOS and Win3x0. Personally, I'd say we should make a watermark exception in your case, given the massive size of data available, and just update them in the database with non-watermarked images when we can.
  4. Not yet, but it's a possible feature that has been suggested before, so hopefully soon we'll get something like that.
  5. I'd say mark them for deletion (unless they're for Windows, pretty much anything goes on that platform). Sometimes things slip through the cracks (and we're still dealing with the deletion bug.)
  6. Yeah, can the eXoDOS/Win3xO integration be one of the things that @Jason Carr prioritizes for the 8.0 release? It wasn't on the poll, but there's clearly a lot of interest in it.
  7. Yeah, I can't connect to either the site or the FTP. Hope everything's okay over there...
  8. @Jason Carr alright, well it's been another 4 months or so, and the deletion bug is still present. Just letting you know.
  9. Sorting is still broken for me if I have "All" checked in Side Bar options, and checking "Show Counts" still fixes it for some reason.
  10. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it still looks like this
  11. Just FYI, I'm still having the bug with platforms not being sorted correctly.
  12. And THAT is why we need people helping us with the LaunchBox Games Database. The metadata is only as accurate as we are.
  13. @Jason Carr still having the sorting issue...it still only shows up when I have either Show "all", Show "none", or Show "exists" checked in the Side Bar options, and goes away when I enable counts (which at this point I might just keep enabled.)
  14. It's....complicated. Basically, WiiWare was added a while back as a platform, but it was then decided that it wasn't a valid separate platform, and is on @Jason Carr's to-do list to delete. Right now, it looks like the DB is kind of on the back burner while he adds requested features to LaunchBox. @Vlansix was helping us with the database for a while, but he hasn't been around since December, so I don't know what's going on. So as of right now, it's there, but it shouldn't be, if that makes sense.
  15. as I said before, I'm still having the issues.
  16. Unfortunately, I'm still having the same issues in Beta 4.
  17. I say add it. All other current gen platforms are already added, so it should be too. (plus, if it's anything like Nintendo's other systems, it'll get emulated pretty soon)
  18. BTW, the Asteroids clear logo isn't the correct version; a few months ago, I realized there wasn't one based on the Atari 7800 box art, so I made one myself. It's in the LaunchBox entry for the game, you should check it out.
  19. Weirdly, it looks like I can also fix it by turning on Counts, even if only one of the options is checked.
  20. So, next question: is it fixable at the user level, or do we need to wait for a fix from @Jason Carr?
  21. So with the new beta, my platforms are ordered like this, and I have absolutely no idea why, or how to fix it.
