  1. Yeah it was most likely a configuration issue causing it not to work in MESS for you. There are some differences in some games, mostly music. Make sure you bind a button on your controller to fast forward to deal with those slow loading times, it defaults to the Insert key on the keyboard.
  2. This product by all looks is legit. It's an FPGA clone console (much like the Super NT) that plays real Colecovision carts and roms from SD card and is being made by Colectorvision Games https://collectorvision.com/ who make new games for old consoles. This is a niche product for a niche audience, it is not meant for mass market like the Nintendo Classic consoles.
  3. MESS should be just fine with them though, I got it running NeoGeo CD games in the past and now it's just rolled into Mame so it's all the same.
  4. There is no horizontal view in the default theme. If a theme has a horizontal theme you can press the V key to cycle through the different views the theme has.
  5. No problem, the bulk edit tool is something that is too hidden from new users and needs to be more prominent, also the "make default emulator" check box needs to ask if you want to change your emulator for the platform when you tick it. This is on the to-do list for eventually lol.
  6. Version 8.9 - Released October 10, 2018 - Improvement: Empty playlists will now show up in the LaunchBox sidebar when viewing platform categories; this should reduce confusion when adding a new playlist and leaving it empty - Improvement: When manually adding a new platform via right-click in the platform categories list, LaunchBox will now warn you that it's not recommended to manually add platforms and to use the import processes instead. It also warns the user that categories and playlists should be used instead of platforms for nesting purposes. - Fixed: Add to Playlist functionality was accidentally still restricted to premium - Fixed: Editing a playlist that had no parents was putting it back into the root by default
  7. Select all the games in your Atari ST platform using Control + A, then press Control + E to bring up the bulk edit tool. In the first drop down menu pick emulator and then in the second drop down menu choose the emulator you want to use.
  8. In whatever emulator you are using. Launchbox does nothing with the settings of any emulator, all Launchbox does is tell an emulator what rom to load along with pass any command line parameters you tell it to.
  9. Sorry I don't have any ideas as to why this would be happening, I have never experienced and as far as I can remember I don't recall anyone ever posting anything like this before.
  10. Yup, loved Dungeon Master on the ST back in the day. Though I had an ST back in the day and it does have some nostalgia factor for me I have to admit objectively the Amiga is by far the superior system and much easier to emulate today.
  11. Funnily enough I have been spending a little bit of time tinkering with Atari ST emulation over the last couple of days and in the end I think the RA core is just broken and out of date. The stand alone version of Hatari and Steem are in much better shape and supports more disk image formats. I got the RA core to load .st format disks but it would not work with .ipf format which are the ones that come in the No-Intro set. Steem and Hatari stand alone both support the 2 disk image types.
  12. Yeah, not abandoned at all, just rolled back into Mame.
  13. Ah yeah, the old Mess uses per system ini files, it's been a while since I have used it.
  14. Look for the following section in the ini file: # OSD VIDEO OPTIONS # video d3d numscreens 1 window 0 maximize 1 waitvsync 0 syncrefresh 0 monitorprovider auto Make sure window is set to 0 and not 1. On a side note, MESS is no longer a thing really, it got rolled back into Mame so Mame does it all now.
  15. No problem, glad it sorted it out.
  16. Did you setup your rom path in Mame ?
  17. Chances are you are missing a required bios file rom for that game. Do you have a full rom set ? I also highly recommend you change your account name to something other than your email, it will prevent spam bots from scraping your email and sending you spam mail.

Yes, Mame has HLSL (and BGFX) shader support built in. I personally prefer the HLSL and here is a download for my settings, has raster and vector settings that I think look best but are fully tweak-able for personal tastes. Retroarch also has its own full suite of shader options including CRT effects. Other emulators though have at best basic CRT shaders and in my opinion do not look so good.

A good CRT effect shader on a high resolution display looks extremely good and close to a good quality CRT display. Here is how my HLSL settings in Mame look:
  20. Very strange, I had no problems loading BotW or Xenoblade without up to date DLCs included. I have since updated them but they did work fine without the updates using Cemu 1.13.2 through LB.
  21. It's most likely the analog stick of your controller being off center.
  22. Yes, this should be doable. I haven't spent a ton of time messing with the playlist feature but this looks totally doable.
  23. Do you get any error messages at all ?
