Did you enable HLSL in your mame.ini ? To use this simply enable HLSL in your mame.ini by setting hlsl_enable to 1 instead of 0 and dropping this raster.ini file into your \Mame\ini\presets folder. Backup your old one first just in case you do not like this one.
  2. You made the post reminding us "that it hasn't been fixed yet". Retro808 gave you a response and you didn't like it so you got all uppity and defensive. Locking this thread now.
  3. No one is on your back, you're the one coming in and kicking up a stink about it after "two weeks" and now you are getting on Retro808 for his response. And now you wanna throw down the "i paid money" card, well guess what so have a lot of other people and Jason works on the most important issues first, not just whoever comes on here complaining the loudest.
  4. Dude, it will get looked at when Jason has time, he has been busy hammering out some controller latency issues and a nasty Windows 10 update bug.
  5. The PGXP stuff in the core options is what deals with that stuff, it can break certain games though so you will have to experiment with it.
  6. Please don't ask for copyright files such as bios on the forums.
  7. Do some digging around on the AtariAge forums, so much good stuff to be find there.

Yes, make a backup of your old ones first just in case you hate mine.
  9. Try this hack that someone made, you will have to move your controller left and right to calibrate it when you first start it up but it should play fine. I gave it a quick test with my d-pad control setup and it seemed to be fine. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/20701-heres-the-5200-asteroids-hack/
  10. I believe the lifetime upgrade was 20$.
  11. Best option is to play any other version of Asteroids There is an awesome homebrew / hack, Asteroids Deluxe for the 7800 over on the AtariAge site https://atariage.com/software_page.php?SoftwareID=4104
  12. When I have tested this in the past it has automatically updated without a restart so I don't know what is going on now, could be a bug or intended.
  13. lol wow, i had never bothered to try that game out at all and yeah it's kinda mental. I tried setting it up with an analog controller and digital and the game just acts all crazy with both. I even tried it with Mame and the 800 core in Retroarch and it's the same thing. I wonder if this issue is because the game was never actually released and was planned to have its own 5 button arcade style controller. https://www.atariprotos.com/5200/software/asteroids/asteroids.htm The Atari 5200 version of Asteroids holds a special place in history as the only launch title never to be released. In an attempt to address this problem, Atari developed a special "Asteroids Controller".
  14. While I can't give exact details it will most likely be the same as it is has been in past years.
  15. I's like to suggest Kat5200. http://www.kat5200.jillybunch.com/
  16. No problem, glad it worked for you. For some reason or another MameUI doesn't like to load up properly with the mame.ini file in the /ini folder.
  17. Ok, that rules that out then. Is your mame.ini in the main install folder of Mame where the emulators executable is or is it in the /ini folder ? If it's in the /ini folder move it to the main folder where the executable is located.
  18. I saw your other question but i'll ask you this here. Are you using RocketLauncher ?
  19. Is your playlist an auto populate one ?
  20. This is something that is no longer required.
  21. I updated the first post of this thread with some new info on an updated Kat5200 which resolves the resolution switching issue and has some support for some GLSL shaders. This is now my recommended 5200 emulator for most people.
  22. The easiest way is to just drag the games exe or what you use to start the game (shortcut) into LB and in the first screen of the importer choose the bottom entry (none of the above). Assuming your game/s are working as it is in your current Windows setup and not going through some sort of virtual machine or Windows emulator.
  23. There's nothing to get around really other than not calling it a "Coleco Whatever You Wanna Call It", if there's no Coleco branding on it then it's all good. Just like how the Super NT has no legal issues existing, there is no Nintendo branding on it.
