Well at least you figured out that it's not LB and it's your PC being a pain in the ass. PCs can be funny that way sometimes, working perfectly one day and then something tiny changes and you now have to track down what is causing a problem.

Did you add or make any playlists ? These take some time to cache in as well if you have a lot of them.

Are you sure you maybe didn't have a 2nd install of Mame and had LB still pointing to the old one or something ? Because if a game isn't working in the emulator outside of LB it should not be working inside of LB if everything is setup as intended. I say this because Launchbox has no impact on the emulator working or not working beyond being properly setup in LB itself.

This doesn't make any sense, LB does not have any effect on the emulator outside of the command line parameters you send it.

1. Ok, that makes more sense. As for the performance, LB / BB is a Windows based product with a near infinite possible combinations of hardware and software along with 3 different versions of Windows. There are so many factors at play in what may cause performance issues for people. Recalbox / Emulation Station is built primarily for a Raspberry Pi which is a hard set hardware software combination, that makes it much easier to program and design for.

1. Not sure what you mean exactly, need more details. 2 & 3. That seems reasonable to ask for. 4. We will not be getting into a performance discussion here. You have been very vocal and made your point in several places as of late and I highly recommend you stop posting about it everywhere.

Did you maybe make a Sega Saturn platform category ?

Are you trying to use the "MAME Arcade Full Set" to import other systems ?

I deleted it because that thread was not something that needs to be discussed here. Just because you paid for Launchbox does not mean that threads you participated in are automatically allowed because you want it to be.

I like to keep games that have more than 1 file in their own folder, this is common with CD based stuff which usually are in cue + bin format. I do this more for organizational reasons than emulator and Launchbox functionality.

I would extract each game to its own folder and import the .gdi files into LB.

A video card would help but you don't need anything fancy or expensive. All you would need is something that fits in your case and has 1 gig of DDR5 vram.

I have an Asteroids Deluxe cab in need of some repair that I cannot give it and I have thought of selling it but I wouldn't sell it to someone going to gut it for a Mame machine either.

@Iscariath try setting your image quality in BB to medium if you have not done that already. Having it set to max quality can cause issues I have found on my older computers, some of the art work can be quite large and eat up ram in a hurry.

I am making this thread because there is a thread on /r/emulation where a few people are saying that BigBox has controller input lag issues in BigBox. Personally I have not experienced this problem at all and in testing I cannot reproduce it, neither can the other mods. So what I am trying to do here is gather any information from people who are having this issue and have it all in one place to see if we can find a common thread in what may be causing this issue. Please post with any relevant information you can such has system specs, operating system and any potential software that may be interfering (eg: anti virus, controller software such as xpadder).

Is your platform name correct and matching the platform name in the Associated Platforms window of your Mame emulator in LB ? When you imported your roms did you use the new or old method of importing Mame roms ? Did you tell LB to move, copy or leave roms where they were ? They should be left where they were.

Make sure your mame.ini file is located in the main folder where your main mame64.exe is located, the default location of it seems to be put in the \ini folder if you don't generate the mame.ini file first like I describe in the guide.
