To reset your shaders to none set the shader passes to 0 and then Apply ChangesShader choice really does boil down personal preference and your display type since your monitor or TV can impact them. The 2 I like and recommend would be CRT-Aperture if you want a thicker scanline or if you want something not quite so thick and a little brighter looking is Easymode-Halation which is one I am currently using and is in the screenshot above.
Here is a pic of it in action though keep in mind it is a smaller than fullscreen pic so it's not quite 100% how it will look in action but it's pretty good.
Edit:
If you like the crt shader on the pi take a look in the GL/CRT folder for the CRT-Pi preset.
If I remember correctly you need the 2015 runtime library, but I won't swear 100% that is correct.

Hmm hard to say, there were some changes since 177 with the Capcom CPS2 roms and the Qsound bios file.
You can get a 185 NoNag build here

Or you can download the 186 build that this guy did with his custom HLSL shaders which are nice and it has D3DEX built into it to reduce input lag.
Yeah if you have a PS3 the SotC / Ico disk is a must have and cheap to buy. I have that and I plan on getting the PS4 SotC remaster when that comes out, it looks amazing.
Yeah its a CPU hungry emulator even in hardware mode since it only uses the hardware for the graphical enhancements, you still need the CPU to power the actual emulation. SotC is a nasty game no matter what, it even hammered the real PS2 hardware.
Yeah, something like Reshade is not for the beginner and it's not something I have even thought about using with PCSX2 before my previous post. I may have a go at it and see what kind of results I have with it. I have done it with Dreamcast and the stand alone version of Mednafen with mixed results.
That is the safest way to go and maybe not a bad way either if you use a 3rd party shader injection program like Reshade to emulate a CRT effect but then that is a whole other can of worms to open up lol.
Yeah definitely have a go with each way and see which you prefer. PCSX2 is most definitely an annoying emulator because of the fact you have to tweak it on a per game basis so finding the best way to do that is very important if you plan on playing PS2 games.
Correct, Spectabis becomes your emulator in Launchbox which seems bad at first but really isn't a problem. The reason I liked Spectabis so much is that it was just way more intuitive to me in setting up each game which you do in Spectabis itself. Then when you update to newer versions of PCSX2 you simply point Spectabis to it and that is it.
PCSX2 Configurator does work and is fine but like I said I liked Spectabis' more visual approach, I just felt more comfortable with it.
Another option for custom per game configs is a program called Spectabis which is a PCSX2 front end but it can be used to pass through Launchbox and for me it made it easier to setup custom configs. Just another option.
Nope, Launchbox does not run on Android yet.
While there is no immediate plans for an Android port anytime soon it is something that Jason would like to have eventually.
My first guess is that you are probably missing one of the dependency libraries. A little while back @ETAPRIME did a video and he has a Mega link to download the necessary dependencies. Here is the link. https://mega.nz/#!Q8UVXLRT!LVjgSIkpu826al7QhV32JtOg_jBUTE726RYXX_hqi7U
Being installed to D:\ drive doesn't matter at all, I have mine installed on H:\ drive.
For Mame you can either use the controller automation built into LB / BB to exit using Escape or you can set your own custom "Close Mame" button or button combo in Mame itself.
At the end of the day all of this emulation and front end stuff is relatively complicated to most people, it's just which is relatively more intuitive for the beginner.
In Launchbox to change the emulator for all games you select all your games (Control + A) right click and edit and change the emulator in the bulk wizard. RocketLauncher is probably simpler than this once you know where to look in the RL UI.
Ok, I see what you mean and it makes sense but at the same time is such a small and minor thing in the grand scheme.
Not exactly sure how much more simple it can be than in Launchbox, right click a game and edit, then in the emulation tab pick an emulator and you are done. I can see how something can be equally simple but not more.
Can you clarify this statement for me ? What do you mean but by in LB everything is global ?
Here's my glsl shaders folder.
I know they have been converting CG shaders over to GLSL since CG is now set to deprecated status. I don't know if they are still working on some or if they are done but I do know that some of the CG shaders used certain things that were only available to that format and may not have a direct equal in GLSL.
shaders_glsl.7z
Not sure if this is of any help but a quick search for the issue found these 2 threads about it and possible fixes for it. By the looks it is a resolution issue and you need to create a custom resolution for the game. Such is life in PS2 emulation.

Here's the preset file you can try. It may or may not work for you if you don't have all the necessary shader pass files for it.
