  1. I just looked and there is a gl version of the one you like.
  2. I don't use any shaders with N64, I up the internal resolution since the vast majority of games are 3D polygonal.
  3. Not necessarily for every release but if there is a release that has something that changes and breaks the module you will need a new one. Also if you for whatever reason needed to use an old version of an emulator and the current module didn't work you would need an older module that worked with the older version of the emulator. And with new emulators you will have to wait for a module for it, like how when Mednafen implemented its Saturn core, RL needed to have a module made for it before it would work with it for Saturn.
  4. Essentially Hyperspin is the graphical part of it, kind of like BigBox mode of Launchbox and RocketLauncher is the backend management part like the normal "desktop" mode of Launchbox.
  5. No idea what could be causing the issue but I have a test install of LB and it updated fine for me.
  6. Amiga stuff is a mess because there are several different file naming conventions out there. For example my Amiga files are all the WHDLoad stuff and those names don't match up either. So yeah there may only be one game in the database but your file name might not get picked up by the database as one that it's trying to match against.
  7. Then it could be just the name of the game files are not matching up with what the database auto detects it as and you have to hit the button and choose from the dropdown menu which one you want.
  8. I'm just saying that what I said in my initial post worked for me. I just did it 2 nights ago on my "tester install" of Launchbox. I had a bunch of NES games but no metadata or artwork and I did what I said above and it grabbed them all except for the game 720 because its funky naming with the "degrees" circle.
  9. It might be that the name of you rom is a bit off compared to what the database autodetects as and you need to manually do it.
  10. Select all your games you want to scrape and then go Tools > Download MetaData and Media.
  11. The last update installed a new .NET, 4.7 I believe. I would recommend either redownloading the latest official build and install that over top or go into your Launchbox\updates folder and run one the previous versions of the installers in there.
  12. A tutorial video on how to setup RocketLauncher on its own along with Launchbox would be very beneficial for the people who would like to use it. I'm not sure if one exists or not. They really shouldn't take that long unless you have your disk images compressed and they need to uncompress first. I don't have mine compressed so they load rather quickly. Same here. I have tried them in the past and while they look very nice in videos and screen shots they just end up distracting me during actual gameplay. This is purely a personal thing though obviously. Things like this and pause menus for things like manuals and guides are on the list of things to be implemented eventually but have sort have taken a bit of a backseat because RocketLauncher already provides that stuff.
  13. And BigBox doesn't need RocketLauncher to do this. If you NEED bezels across every system, if you NEED loading screens, if you NEED pause screens then RocketLauncher is what you need. If you don't NEED those things in your setup then RL is a waste of time to learn how to use. The only person that can answer the OPs question is himself. Only he can decide if it is or isn't worth the extra effort for a few cosmetic features. I am not telling anyone they should or shouldn't use it. I am only making sure that people understand that there is a lot of extra effort involved if they have never used or even looked at it before. It would be very disingenuous to pretend it is not a lot of extra work and is easy to setup because it is not. Yeah, if you have it already setup and ready to go it's a no brainer to stick with it. Just keep in mind that the vast majority of Launchbox users are here because of just how complicated Hyperspin with RocketLauncher (mostly RocketLauncher) can be. There is a reason that right after I finally learned how to get HS / RL working I ditched that shit like a bad habit in an instant because Launchbox was so much simpler without it.
  14. Don't have your premium license yet ? Well here's your chance to get a free forever license. https://gleam.io/v764D/launchbox-premium-100-forever-license-giveaway-june-2017
  15. Fair enough, it's been a while since I even looked at it.
  16. Make sure the "Use file name only without extension" box is checked in the Emulator Details tab of the Edit Emulator window for your Pinball FX "emulator". No other command line parameters or anything needed.
  17. Give us some screen shots of your ePSXe emulator settings window in Launchbox please. I can assure you that ePSXe works just fine with Launcbox.
  18. 5 minutes to load a pause screen ? lol. If you enjoy the tinkering more than playing that's fine. Launchbox on its own is a perfect balance of relative ease of setup and playability. I would rather play my games through emulation than muck about getting my consoles RGB modded and the added expense of a Framemeister just to play them on a modern TV and have them look halfway decent. I always hear about people spending more time setting up than playing. Well I am done setting things up, I now spend my time actually playing and helping people new to emulation through problems to get them playing. Sure, sometimes I might tinker with a new emulator when it comes along but at least I don't have to worry about an out of date module when a new emulator comes out. And anytime I wish to add or remove a game from my collection I don't have to worry about generating a new .xml file for my games list.
  19. This may or may not have the effect you expect with each game. A preset that makes one game "pop" and "more vibrant" could make another game over saturated and awful looking. You really need to tweak it on a per game level.
  20. Ahh ok. Some of those command line parameters may work but the %file one really threw me off, usually it has a second % so its %file% and that part is handled automatically by Launchbox already. I'm glad what I told you to do works for you though. I have Fusion setup and working but I don't use it since I use Retroarch with the GenesisGX which for me is the better way to emulate all those systems minus the 32X because it doesn't emulate that at all. For the 32X I use Retroarchs Pico core which gets the job done. All you would probably need is to uncheck all those boxes in the emulator details window and in the associated platforms command line remove the %file.
  21. Can you run your file manager as admin and delete the file ?
