  1. Yeah it doesn't seem to make a difference to me in load times, it was just nice to have the loading bars while the game loaded instead of a black screen. On a side note can you post what you have in your astron.txt file if you have that game ? Mine seems to be spitting out an error about it expecting a number but not finding one.
  2. Hmm, could be something wrong with my setup or something then. I got my Daphne setup off a buddy of mine and was all pre configured for his setup so I had to do a bunch of retooling to get it working on mine. But even in the Daphneloader.exe if I enable the precache it doesn't like it.
  3. Yeah the resolution would need to be adjusted to individual users displays. It's too bad that the -precache switch isn't universal
  4. I can confirm this does indeed work, great job on figuring this out. Only thing I will add though is using your bat file it opened in windowed mode and had some extended black screens where it was hard to tell if things were loading or not. Everything did load though so it was fine. After modifying my bat file a little using yours as a guide I got mine to load in full screen and with loading bars while loading so it was obvious that it was still doing stuff. Here is my final bat file: @echo off daphne.exe %1 vldp -framefile\%1.txt -blend -ignore_aspect_ratio -blank_searches -precache -min_seek_delay 1000 -seek_frames_per_ms 20 -homedir H:\Emulation\Roms\Daphne -fastboot -bank 0 11011001 -bank 1 00100111 -nocrc -noissues -noserversend -sound_buffer 2048 -fullscreen -x 1600 -y 1200 Obviously the "H:\Emulation\Roms\Daphne" part would have to be edited to match the individual users Daphne folder location. Edit: It seems that the -precache switch doesn't work for all games. It gives the nice loading bars but games like Cobra Command and Super Don Quix-ote do not like it at all and the games will not load with it.
  5. with the bat file you dont use an emulator, you run it like you would a windows game
  6. I think this is the bat file you need for Zombeavers method. @echo off start /wait "" "SSF.exe" "C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -unmount 0 I say think because it has been a while and this bat file was still in my SSF folder named SSF Run After.bat
  7. My bat file is not compatible with the method you are describing.
  8. Strider isn't exactly a remaster, it's more of a re imagining of Strider and turned it into a Metroidvania game but most definitely is amazing.
  9. Fortunately there aren't that many games to do this for.
  10. Lol. Ok, ok that's enough, he apologized.
  11. Not really. You can save out a preset when you find one you like and it gets saved as a preset file in the \shaders folder (before you get into the CGP and GLSL folders) and those you can cycle through with a hotkey. I think it's M or something, you can look in the hotkey bindings to find out for sure.
  12. So many for me. Pitfall and Pitfall II when I was really young. Final Fantasy 2 and 3 for the SNES and the Phantasy Star series in my teenage years. Then as I got into the PC side of things the Quake series was huge for me Grand Prix 2,3 and 4 for my sim racing and though it wasn't a franchise Grand Prix Legends has way too many hours of play time.
  13. Being disabled is no excuse. Of course acting this way gets you ignored. it's just childish and ignorant behavior. Sounds like you need some therapy, you really should go talk to someone who can help you out with your mental issues.
  14. Jason owes you nothing, if anything you owe an apology for being so childish.
  15. Threads like this are uncalled for.
  16. There are people on places like Reddit and Youtube comments that just like to say shit like that because it makes them feel edgy and rebellious. Like "look at me im going against the grain and there's nothing you can do about" kind of attitude. In the real world that sort of shit would get their head punched in.
  17. For what it's actually worth though that post got downvoted into oblivion in a hurry and hidden.
  18. Yeah Reddit can be pretty bad. I saw in one post where someone posted Austins Mednafen Saturn tutorial video and some jack ass posted saying that if you needed a tutorial for that you shouldn't even be doing emulation. Like WOW.
  19. Yeah I forgot about that too, checking to make sure DTools is actually looking for the right virtual drive is a big step. But like @Zombeaversaid if everything is set up right either method to load the games should work just fine. I have used both methods with success.
  20. It might be a Windows 10 issue then, it is known to have problems with Daemon Tools.
