Hmm, the fbalpha_libretro.dll core should work for both NeoGeo and CPS games, they work for me. For you CPS games do you have the qsound.zip bios file ? Do the games load fine just straight through Retroarch ?

Well for gaming you want something with low input lag. Here is database site for TVs with the input lag: http://www.displaylag.com/display-database/ Sorry that first link is mostly monitors. Here is one for TVs http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/input-lag

There are discussions about Daphne around on the forums are there's a couple of ways to get them working.

Your Mame emulator details window needs some settings changed. Ignore the "nn" in my mame exe, that's just my renamed executable I use. Do you have the Arcade platform set in your Associated Platforms tab ? Since you are new to Mame I suggest starting out with the UI version for setting it all up and getting things working. After you get the hang of that then move over to the command line version if you wish to. Without getting into a full blown tutorial the key things to have correct in Mame is the rompath set within mame and the rom files including system bios files if needed for that particular arcade game. NeoGeo, Capcom games like Street Fighter and some others have them so just getting a small handful of roms can be trickier to get working than a full rom set. If you use MameUI you audit your roms individually and it will tell you if there are missing roms such as bios that is expecting to find if it doesn't find them.

I haven't tested it much beyond trying it with God of War and for that game I would have to say no. Vulkan doesn't support pre rendering yet and on God of War it caused a lot of graphical glitches because of it. Other games may be fine but I didn't try any other games with Vulkan.

It has HDMI out though, lol. Yeah the power is USB, all the new small form factor computers on a chip are.

Hmm, do you have Threaded Video turned on or off and are you running any shaders ? What is the speed of your CPU ? I found running one of the heavier shaders that I had to turn on Threaded Video to get full speed.

Cool, glad it works the way you want it to despite my hatred for this emulator in its current state You said that Daytona doesn't run well for you, are you talking the normal first release version or the later Championship Edition ? The Championship edition works just fine for me, I haven't tried the normal version or Sega Rally.

Did the -i command switch work for you at least ?
-
Ok, I got it working with the command parameter -i and setting the emulator to load full screen in the settings / video tab. Personal Rant Incoming!!! Now I will apologize in advance for what is coming next but this emulator is absolute trash and there is no good reason to use this thing whatsoever. It still has broken sound in Darius Gaiden where it only plays music and no game sound effects. The full screen of this emulator is broken, it doesn't keep aspect ratio even though it is check on. When I full screen the emulator it spreads across both monitors unless I set the full screen resolution to match my main monitor which is 2560 x 1440 but like I said before it stretches the game to widescreen. Maybe it doesn't like the fact I am using a dual monitor setup but in this day in age many people do and this is the only emulator or program I have run into that does this. Maybe some day this emulator could be good and usable but today is not that day. Mednafen is far superior and if your system isn't quite fast enough to run it then SSF even with the mounting of disk images in Daemon Tools is way better and much more usable.
-
I haven't really tried to use 0.9.15 because it wouldn't work for me when I did try it and I gave up because Mednafen was out and working great. But I still have 0.9.14 installed and the command line parameter -i which works. I will try and get 0.9.15 working again and see what happens.

I didn't see any noticeable difference in performance on my end but I also have a fairly beefy system so that may have something to do with it. I will support any push in performance gains however. It would certainly be nice if switching platforms was faster than it currently is.
-
Performance seems to be the same to me but I would like to see better performance when in normal mode (not BigBox), especially if in list view without pictures. Now it's not that performance is terrible, I don't mind the 3 or 4 second delay in switching platforms but it would be nice if it was just a little snappier.

Latest core, just updated using wyzrds updater tool but using the 1.3.6 stable binary and works fine.

License files are indeed DRM free. Jason has chosen this route to go because it has been proven time and time again that there is no such thing as crack proof software. So rather than waste time, energy and money in trying to prevent what shitheads will do anyways he has taken the CD Projekt Red / GOG route and made Launchbox DRM free. This philosophy has proven to be the better way to go long term rather than making things more difficult for the legitimate users of a product and pirating it becomes the easier method. If a bunch of jerks want to spend 50$ and share their license file then that is at least 50$ in Jasons pocket instead of just stealing it anyways.

I would call it one hell of a coincidence that you have the exact username including the same number 24 and being from the same country and interested in like @Zombeaversaid a niche product. Glad you bought a license though and you are welcome to browse the forums and interact with the people here but keep your insults like "little weasle" and "smart arses" to yourself. Zombeaver has done a lot here for this community, is always very helpful and deserving of some respect.

I had to go through the whole setup process in Windows to get it working where you had to read a whole pile of text back to the computer.

As the title says, version 1.3 of the PSP emulator PPSSPP has been released and now supports texture replacement. Hopefully it won't be too long before we start seeing some texture packs coming out. I know there is the HD version of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd but that was done in a different way but man oh man does it ever look good and just shows off what we can hopefully expect in the future now. http://ppsspp.org/

Wish I could help with this but Select + Start (Back + Start) works just fine to exit Dolphin for me. My Dolphin setup is pretty much stock out of the box except for a couple of minor graphical tweaks like resolution and controller setup. Only thing I can suggest is to look in the Options menu > Hotkey Settings and check that Stop is bound to Escape.

NeoGeo Rom Copy View File These bat files are used to copy or move the NeoGeo rom set out of a Mame rom set to have a separate collection of just NeoGeo roms if you have not obtained a separate NeoGeo rom set already. In this zip file you will find 4 bat files, use the one for the job you wish to do whether it is move or copy and if your rom set is in .zip or .7z files. Simply drop the appropriate bat file into the folder where your Mame roms are located. Run the bat file and it will create a folder in that folder called NeoGeo and then copy / move all the files located in that folder over to the folder that was created. It will copy / move all the game roms and the bios files. I generated this list of roms from my "full" NeoGeo rom set I had downloaded. It should be complete but I cannot guarantee with 100% certainty that its completely accurate. If you find any problems please let me know on the Launchbox forums. You can have a bunch of separate rom folders.
-
Yeah, you will have to add the name of the platform you are using for your NeoGeo games in your Mame emulator edit windows.
-
Personally not really other than a couple of games like Crossed Swords 2 which is a CD exclusive.

Do you have a plugins folder ? If so look in there for a plugins.ini, open it in notepad and and change the line hiscore 0 to hiscore 1
