  1. I'm gonna guess that it probably would work but no guarantees on how compatible the new cores would be with and older build of Retroarch itself.
  2. Awesome man, good to see you over here. Gotten several people liking your utility here already.
  3. Indeed, I have done this for PS, PS2, Gamecube and Wii games.
  4. Your buddy steered you wrong then. Stick with the non beta releases and Launchbox is very stable.
  5. It looks like you are having troubles with the database for some reason.
  6. I just import all the games in a set and then mark the good ones as a favourite so they are at the top of the list and then when I find out about game I have but haven't played then I can just go and load it up instead of going and getting it.

    Retroarch?

Yeah, having a setup where you can choose whether to use one of 2 Xbox 360 controllers or the X-Arcade stick is going to be tricky without Xpadder and Rocketlauncher does handle that kind of setup better. As far as emulators that "require" Xpadder the only ones I have seen is Daphne or some Taito Type-X stuff but all the main stuff does not. Emulation is one of those things where if you keep your set up simple it can be simple but the more deeper you go into all the weird and obscure emulators you have to deal with their quirks, there just isn't a way around that unfortunately.
  8. I'm always open to other emulators especially if they bring something special that is missing from another emulator. I Just have no idea what Fusion brings that Retroarch Genesis GX core doesn't outside of the 32X support. And it is always possible to have a feature that I missed out on because it was something I personally never needed. Weird that your exit isn't working, works fine for me. I use the back and start button on an Xbox 360 controller.
  9. I'm using Mupen64plus 2.5 and I have used both the Rice and GlideN64 plugins without issues. What Sega CD games give troubles ? I don't have the full collection of CD games, only 31 games but all run perfectly fine.
  10. Well the Launchbox AHK exit key combo works for my Mupen64 stand alone because I use it for Beetle Adventure Racing. It's the only emu to run it and be playable. I didn't have to do anything out of the ordinary to have it work either. What CD features are you using in Fusion that RA Genesis GX doesn't have ? I just haven't seen any reason to use Fusion since switching to RA for Genesis games. Fusion does do better with 32X games though to be fair. Retroarch Genesis GX also emulates Pier Solar including the CD version while Fusion cannot run even just the cart version.
  11. I can see why you are using stand alone Mupen over the RA core but why Fusion over the GenesisGX RA core ? What exactly are you trying to get working that isn't working ?

    Retroarch?

Correct, Dolphin is just it's own stand alone emulator right now. I believe there are plans to have a Retroarch core somewhere down the road but that is a ways away still. The best way to get Mame looking better is using either GLSL or HLSL shaders. Lol. I can't and won't even try to tell you what to do about Launchbox and Rocketlauncher but you can keep using both. Just for the record though I do not use Rocketlauncher because I do not care about the extras it brings such as bezels, load and pause screens. I would say if you are comfortable with Rocketlauncher keep using it, you can still use Retroarch through it if you wanted anyways so you won't be losing out if you want to use RA. What exactly are you using Xpadder for ? I have Xpadder installed but I use it very little if ever outside of Daphne or an oddball game that doesn't have controller support.

    Retroarch?

Yeah ePSXe 2.x is pretty damn awesome. I'm not sure where the performance cut off point is in Retroach but I know on my 1.5 GHz laptop I couldn't use it even use it without shaders. But ePSXE 2.x even with Lottes shader it ran awesome. But on a system that can handle it I would still use RA PSX with a good shader for 2D games over ePSXe just for the other features of RA.

    Retroarch?

Lol, no apology needed for anything.
  18. It should not be deleting or moving your emulators at all. If that is what is happening then something really weird is going on there. You should uninstall Launchbox, download a fresh copy off the official website here and start with the tutorial videos.

    Apology for what ?

    Retroarch?

@polymorph77The hardware PSX core is still a work in progress and yeah they stand alone does upscaling way better which is why i recommend it for 3D games. For 2D games though I prefer RA PSX and a good CRT shader. @DOS76I (almost) always use integer scaling because I use a CRT shader and non integer scaling can cause issues with the scan line spacing. I also don't like messing with the aspect ratio. Yeah I have noticed with FBA and CPS games like Dimahoo for example it looks like shit.
  21. Nope, that's a game by game dipswitch setting unfortunately.
  22. Well the first 2 pictures look like database issues and connecting to it. The 3rd picture I could be wrong but off the top of my head my first guess is that Launchbox is trying to load an emulator you don't actually have. You may have to adjust the platform and emulator so that Launchbox knows which emulator you wish to use for that platform.
