  10. Nice video, made some enhancements on it, Video: HEVC 10-bit color HDR10 59.94 fps, Audio: 24-bit 5.1 DTS, also corrected video/audio length to match, anybody that wants this version let me know and I'll post a link.
  11. It's not really a game, just a video cd that runs on the 3DO, the graphics really aren't that great, but for it's time it was king.
  12. This is very easy to do and requires no specially hardware and uses freeware tools. If you have the windows 10 creator update, make use of the screen recorder in the xbox app, see how here: http://winsupersite.com/windows-10/how-use-windows-10s-screen-recording-utility Otherwise go get the demo version of bandicam, it'll record for up to 10 minutes at a time. Capture in avi format for video and pcm_s16le (wav) format for audio. Next go get VirtualDub, use it to crop, resize, etc. your video and export back to a new avi. Finally go get FFMpeg, use it to convert to an mp4 with h264 for video with a bitrate around 300 -500 kb and aac for audio with at least 96 kb bitrate, anything lower will sound washed out. Stay away from h265, few devices can decoded it and you gain very little from it anyway, if you have a newer nVida card/chip, FFMpeg now supports nvenc encoding, makes it go alot faster. Launchbox seems to like 4:3 aspects rather than 16:9, if your serving your vids to mixed displays go with a 3:2 ratio, it'll look decent on anything.
  13. When comes to file compression it's the algorithm that's important to look at, not the app. For instance, 7zip and winrar both use lzma by default, the difference is that 7zip allows for more fine tuning, whereas winrar is pretty much locked down to specific settings. This is what makes 7zip so popular and about the best app for file compression, it can achive the same compression ratio of any other app out there, if you set the options right, especially the command line version. So it really comes down to how much patience the user has and the speed of their system, better compression requires more time for both compressing and decompressing and more system resources.
  14. My wife is the film collector, thought I do help her on it, we've been collecting stuff for over 40 years now. Our kids claim we have a collection compitition going, she's winning by a landslide! We have a 2-level underground bunker where we store the originals, it started out as our storm shelter. My big task now is getting things changed over to Launch Box, I used to run Hyperspin, but it's such bloatware and finicky, I must say after testing out all the front-ends over the years LB works the best, specially when combined with Retroarch.
  15. For those who collect only certain titles and have less than 500 - 1000 titles total, compression just doesn't make sense, however some people don't have the resources for even that many so compression is a must. For me it's not an issue of have space in a case, it's an issue of trying to find someplace to put another file server in the house! Currently I have 20ish TB of games, 2900 of the 3874 PS2 titles alone, add in the very near 1 PD of movies and tv shows and my basement start getting cramped. I also tend collect complete collections, though I may never play/watch them all, I want them all, and want them ready to play/watch at a moments notice.
  16. PT like the other Jaguar CD emu's never got finished, out of all the jag cd's I can get it to run 4 of them, but they run at a snails pace and are not playable. PT is the only emu that will even attempt to run them and since they have to be a .cdi image it makes it harder. It's best to either play the cart versions or play them on another system.
  17. Something I've used since before these fancy front-ends came around is Pismo File Mount. It works with ANY file type and opens game iso's in less than a second. It will compress files with zip or lzma, (7zips format), it's also free! An example, 3DO Blonde Justice, uncompressed 538 MB, pismo compression 184 MB and plays perfect. This game is mostly video clips and video doesn't compress well regardless of the app used. I use it for all my cd/dvd images and mame's huge chd files.
