Hey Not Uploading it into the Games DB?
-
Hi All, I am sorting my arcade platforms at this moment. And while Launchbox is offering a Playlist function I would like to go with separate platforms. doesn't matter at all because even for the playlists I would like to manage more the arcade platforms than Launchbox currently is offering. so I start working on my Platform for Namco and Sega where more than the famous one or two platforms exists but unfortunately no clear logo for them. does someone of you have clear logos for those platforms or is able to build some? thanks in advance Chris

Auto Generated Playlist Clear Logos
Chris Kant commented on RetroHumanoid's file in Playlist Clear Logos
many thanks, even when it will not cover half of my playlists per Platform and my Platform but this will make it a bit better ? I have on each platform these playlists: all games favs aka love these games best-of (not favs but also not worth to hide aka not loving but liking them) Done (all games I've done) rest (games I set up to hide - wether loving nor liking) -

You have to change that in the XML file. Sadly no option menu ist in launchbox available.

It is the first time since forever a new feature is not working for me. have a 4K screen an I cannot setup retrocharch to 4K windowed because of not enough resources to run games like that. I used real full screen together with changing the resolution to run good

SBI is the disc copy Protection file. Unsure if only in Europe available

hey @Jason Carr can you make the playlist option under "right click --> add to playlist" a bit more useful? maybe building a folder structure within the playlist folder per system where the playlist is located? else the manuell adding to a playlist is not really human anymore ?

I was just thinking reducing workload because I have most of the time 3 or 4 arguments per playlist

i have nearby 25.000 games with around 17 TB of used storage for that. Ah, yes. over 70 System so far. I like to divide arcade systems instead of having them all under ARCADE like CPS 1 to 3, Model 1 to 3. or all the different Namco Systems 8.500 C64 and 2.500 Amiga games are also waiting to import but to match them with the GamesDB is horrible and I will wait until there is a easy to use solution for that. I am also trying to match around 1.700 games with the DB. mostly MSX1 and 2 Games.

@Jason Carr would there be a possibility to copy Playlists? So i can copy it to another Plattform and Chance i.e. Just the Plattform Itself? This would reduce Tons of work through my 70+ Plattforms

normally I love having bezels but I don't like the television like bezels with the curving and so one and it is hard to find bezels for arcade without it. so I am still using no bezels in any game and live with the black borders even when I like the informations / instruction cards on most of the Male Bezels

sorry, but this is not the full truth. especially the newer systems are not completed in the GamesDB like 3DS, PS3, Switch, Xbox and XBOX360. but even for Nintendo DS there are a lot missing Artworks and since doing not that much business with the Games DB as wished I also would like that feature to handle my games and their artworks. even handiing Videos is hart (emu movie is not finding anything for my SNK Neo Geo MVS set.

currently I only have around 100 Playlist and in total 25k games but it feel not really faster than before. taking around one minute to start LaunchBox. one thing maybe would good to implement in Launchbox nested Playlist. if I have an playlist in a playlist (example --> NES Platform --> Genre Playlist --> Action Playlist) and I want to delete the Genre Playlist with all Playlist in it, it is impossible. it will only delete the genre playlist and put all playlist from the former genre playlist to the root. can we get an check and a question like "do you want to delete genre an all playlist in it or only the genre playlist"? I it feels a bit strange that I always have to close Launchbox than delete all the other playlist in the explorer. ---- issue while trying to find some games in the GamesDB Der Wert darf nicht NULL sein. Sounds nice to start version 9. is there a interesting feature incl. or more a bugfix Release like 8.9?
-
I have categories (The usual suspects like computer, arcade, consoles, handheld) within each categorie I have the platforms (nes, SNES, n64 and so on) and then i thought I could have instead of all games and the Favoriten included I would have all games and would be able to chose (activate one of the playlists) without making big box complicated. So if I don’t want to look into one of the playlists I can still scroll through all games of that platform. just for info: the different arcades are not in playlists - I have them in separate platforms because playlists have not enough information for this. Plus handling emulators are to annoying for me
-
Sorry, @Jason Carr but I am not getting the idea of the playlist and their idea behind it. Maybe more communication and or information for this feature is needed Else it will be a hardcore user feature no one else is really benefiting. having a playlist within an platform: thought it will be different than the playlist feature in arcade / Mame. How can I have the right structure ?
-
I have a category (Consoles) in there I have several platforms (Like Nintendo Entertainment System) and within this platform I have now a few playlists. Why? Because I just added the playlists to my current setup. even the „if no video for the playlist then use a video from the games within“ is not working. if I understood you correct then the way of playlists I have in mind is not working as i expected. So I can delete all playlists. thank you @rexryan

i have had now the chance to test the nested folder thing in BigBox. In launchbox beside some workflow things (like not possible to copy playlist and just change one thing like the platform to have it on every platform etc etc etc) the it is a great feature so far and help to have a better overview. I also want to have a playlist feature where I can choose artwork specific things like -- for this platform show me all games without a video or without an card image etc etc. on the other hand it would be nice to have a good media manager within launchbox. what I absolutely not like it the way how the playlists are implemented in BigBox. I choose the platform (i.e. NES) where I have 4 Playlists. in this platform there are no longer any games, and I am only able to choose between the playlists. I always thought (like in Launchbox) choosing the platform gives me all games and the playlists are the playlistwise reduced ones from ALL. and it is really ugly because I don't have clear logos for all or videos and the screen is fully black. as an Idea... we can go into the platform in BigBox (like NES) then we see all games in it. if we want to have the limited view by Playlist within this platform can we not have a way to choose by playlists like on a specific playlist button? and when we press that button there is the chance to choose between ALL, or the playlists or maybe also included standard playlists like genre, beginning letter or so? what do you think about this @Jason Carr
