  1. Are you sure that Launchbox is looking at the correct location for retroarch? I also have mine in the Launchbox folder in a folder called Emulators and it picks up my cores just fine. Also what did you call the emulator inside Launchbox?
  2. Have you tried simply closing and re-opening Launchbox?
  3. Sounds like you corrupted your Launchbox settings.xml file if Bigbox works but Launchbox doesnt. You may have to restore the settings.xml file. Look in Launchbox/Backups for a settings backup from before you had the issue, it will have the date amended to the name so copy and remove the date so its just settings.xml and place it in Launchbox/Data overwriting when prompted.
  4. Unfortunately that image pack has been removed from the download section after a request from the creator to do so.
  5. Also the comment you quoted is for pce/tg16???? Which he now has working due to bios.
  6. Since when? You need to provide proof when making statements that bold.
  7. The close active window in automation uses "Escape" by default, unless of course its been changed with a different running script. But yeah everything else you say there is 100% correct, Launchbox should not be closing other active windows unless those are the windows that have focus, which of course they shouldnt if you are playing a game.
  8. That is likely the issue, your roms were made for a different version of the MAME/FBA you are trying to use. Arcade games are very different to normal console systems in that the roms themselves are "versioned" and may not work on any version of the emulators that do not match that version.
  9. Are your roms from a FBA set or a MAME set? And which version is the romset?
  10. probably bad bios or roms.
  11. Yeah Launchbox will not be adding gameplay videos out of courtesy to emumovies, as they are running a business doing just that and we have a business relationship with them.
  12. Hmm i cant see anything leaping out that is wrong there. So lets take 4in1 as a example, it loads just fine in retroarch using the pce_fast core?
  13. No one here is going to teamviewer with someone they do not know.
  14. Can you share some images? If it works in retroarch by itself then it will work in Launchbox, the fact that it is not means you have something configured incorrectly in Launchbox. Can you share images of your Retroarch edit emulator screen and the associated platform tab there. Also right click a game in that platform and go to edit and get a shot, and then click the emulation tab there and grab a image of that as well.
  15. That is the correct naming scheme, any other way may have trouble matching.
  16. This will be down to the individual games and whether or not they record hi scores, and whether or not the original cartridge had a way to save scores/save games onto the carts, not all did.
  17. I like bezels, but Retroarch and MAME cover most of the systems i emulate with there built in bezel support.
  18. The thing is though, it IS a PC and not a console. Launchbox only runs on Windows currently, and is a program for that operating system, therefore you are always going to need a mouse or keyboard at some point in time, thats just the nature of PC's. Well if a multi billion dollar making company with thousands of employees cant even do this in a satisfactory way for you then what hope does a program with only one developer have? It is probably just down to the underlying architecture being that of a PC and not a console which means some things are more difficult. Console OS's are designed out of the gate to be used with a controller only, this is obviously not the case with a PC where the OS IS designed for a mouse and keyboard and not a controller. They are completely different products with different goals.
  19. I dont believe anything in regards to this has changed for a very long time. It does sound like a strange way of doing things though by adding the games as additional apps first. Any reason why you didnt just use the steam importer, which is obviously designed to import steam games from your account?
  20. Third party builds of Launchbox are not supported here on the official forums. You will be best served to join his Discord server and ask there.
  21. No, it is closed source as this is a business.
  22. Taking it away from a product that already had it is a completely different situation to a product never having it in the first place. My SNES never had user profiles and we did just fine without it.
  23. Its not on the poll because there wasnt enough interest in it to even make it that far.
