  1. Love the banter...
  2. Count duckula, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VthsQVsXwEg
  3. Looney tunes??? pass.
  4. Cheers, Kelto, but still....I think this is a no need for more type situation.
  5. Ok, cheers, was just curious if controller companion would solve these sort of issues, but of course it cost's a couple of bones.
  6. Can i squeeze in a question here also? Are the videos on the same drive/folder as everything else?
  7. It's much appreciated input fella, so thanks. Have you ever used any of the controller/keyboard programs, like controller companion etc?
  8. I'm gonna assume that is correct info!! Cheer's fella, appreciated.
  9. I don't mind diving a little deeper with this if you wan't, i just can't check as i don't have your exact device. Happy to help though.
  10. Well, you answered my question, thank you. So i will take it as a Retroarch issue. There are way's around it of course, but it's a specific stick issue.
  11. This is the issue we run into sometimes, your stick and buttons are recognised as keyboard inputs. And they will work just fine inside Launchbox/Bigbox no issues at all. But the emulator will not agree. It want's button presses.
  12. I didn't mean for atari, just curious if nes, for example works or your stick is just not acknowledged as a input device.
  13. Ouch that's expensive. Ok so is it just Atari 2600 or every emulator in Retroarch? Have you tried any others?
  14. Also there are free programs out there that will convert keyboard presses into controller button presses. What controller are you using?
  15. I'll be honest with you. i have never used a keyboard for controls in Retroarch, but at the top of the quick menu/controls it should say what its using for input, that can be switched, left or right, to something else. Not sure if keyboard is one of those though.
  16. More data to search for will slow the theme down i believe, i'm not a theme creator so i'm not 100%. The whole idea of this theme is to make it as lightweight as possible so as to run on very low powered devices. I'm of the understanding that the more data/images and such you want to retrieve from the xml's the more processing needs to be done to retrieve said info. But i'm sure grila will correct me if i'm wrong, he's not shy about that.
  17. Correct, just thought i would start with a default override before i mentioned the per game one.
  18. Obviously i can't speak for @Grila as i don't think this is final and it's still all in flux, but you can always just go into Launchbox and go to image priorities, find gameplay, and then check the box front image and move it to the top of the list. That will force Launcbox/Bigbox to show the front box instead of the gameplay image. This works for all image priorities.
  19. Yeah, just to clarify and elaborate on what @keltoigael said, the user 1 binds you are referring to are in the general Retroarch settings correct? Because those are the "general" settings which are used across the ui and are the default for any core you launch. To change emulator specific controls you need to load a game in the core you want to change controls on then open the Retroarch gui (F1 by default) then as kelto said you go to the "quick menu" then controls, change them to your liking, then in the same menu is a "save core override" option, use it. That will save your changed controls for that core only, and leave everything else as you set it in settings/input/user 1 binds.
  20. While i don't have a gpd win, i do have a atom x5 8 inch tablet with a 1280x800 resolution and only 2gb of ram. If that is of any help to you?
  21. Cool, glad you got it all sorted.
  22. I'm using the command line version of mame, but it's the same regardless. For player 1 start and coin entry you need to go to "input general" then "other controls" at the bottom of the list. To change the tab button to a controller button, go to "input general" then "user interface" then change the "config menu" to the button of your choosing. You will also need to set up down left and right here to navigate the menu's and also set the "ui cancel" button as that is what you need to exit the config screen.
  23. You shouldn't have to do it everytime, it should just be set and leave as long as you set it in the general it will apply to all games. Also if you wanted you can set the tab button to a controller button so no need for a keyboard, i have it on UP on my dpad as i use the analogue stick in mame on my controller. I don't need the keyboard at all to change settings in mame with a game loaded, i do it all with my controller.
  24. Have you tried setting it up in mame with a game loaded? Just load a game then hit tab on your keyboard, and go to "input (general)" and set your buttons in there. As you will see under that option is a also a "input (this machine)" which will do what it say's and change the buttons for just the loaded game, i use this to change my buttons in fighting games as the layout is often different.
  25. Just right click on a game and choose edit, there is a checkbox just above the game image.
