Yeah it is a pain, but at least it works

You may need to edit your games to point to the new retroarch installation. go to the platform you are having problems with, click on a game then "control a" to highlight them all. Right click and choose edit. in the dropdown choose emulator, then in the next dropdown choose retroarch. See if that works. If it does you will also have to do it for your other systems.

@popy To get betas, go to tools, options, updates, and tick the update to beta releases box, then restart launchbox.

Yeah I have the same problem so it's not just you. Snes downloads as super famicom for me, but I'm in England so actually want that console design bust snes branded. Also again cause I'm in England I want sega megadrive not sega genesis, my platform is named sega megadrive, launchbox says its downloading megadrive video, but I end up with the genesis one. Also I have the turbografx problem as well, I have tried NEC TurboGrafx 16, Nec TurboGrafx-16, TurboGrafx 16, and TurboGrafx-16 and it has never downloaded for me. I am using all default launchbox system names except megadrive which I scraped as genesis then renamed. I did mention about having a list to @Jason Carr on one of the live streams so we could cross reference what we have with what is available but I don't think he has posted one anywhere, he did say in the stream though that there is a turbografx video. So I have no idea how that is named on the server. Sorry I could not help you, but just wanted to say that you are not alone with this issue.

You are right, a bigbox or launchbox image will have no impact on your emulator, so I would look at task manager when you launch. What's using more ram?
-
@Baz_Rock I'm sorry but I'm confused, are you trying to run ps2 games at 4k?
-
Or more to the point, is it slow if you just use pcsx2 by itself? Sorry @DivinityCycle didn't mean to undermine, just curious.

That sounds really cool Hexxer, I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Your theme is great and some people in the stream didn't even no about it and thought it looked great. Could I ask for one request please? Can you do one of your little logos i.e. broken, favorite for portable? Thanks again man.

@Jason Carr. Will there be a list somewhere of what videos are available? The reason I ask is I downloaded all the videos, but had a lot of holes that I have filled with nyny videos for the time being. It seems though the only way to check for new videos is to scan for missing, or re-download all Videos, but because I have nyny videos in there at the moment launchbox will assume I already have videos for those platforms so skip them. So if there was a list, I would no what was new and could remove the nyny video I have in the folder first then do a new scan for videos to pick up the new video. Hope that makes sense? Cheers, Neil.

Videos will not be in the launchbox download. Jason is adding a section to the import wizard just like all other download media, you can tick or untick just as with any other media.

Skyrim Remastered: What is Partial Controller Support?
neil9000 replied to fromlostdays's topic in Monkeys
If it's anything like the original pc version, then it fully supports controllers in game. The partial support bit is that you get a splash screen when launching the game, it's where you change graphics options and such, that is mouse control only. Once you click on play game though controller support is the same as on consoles. Of course this is based on the original release, but I don't see them changing it now. Beaten to it by Brad -

In the theme folder there is a folder called alt view, copy the XAML from there into the view folder and overwrite it. Voila widescreen!! Oh I see what you mean it wont go under that menu bar, but videos will be widescreen in that window.

@MatticusFinch1820 Thanks for that it worked perfectly, now got nice clean widescreen platform videos in this theme. I have tried every single user created theme and chopped and changed with several of them that I liked, but this is now my number 1, it's gonna take a really good new theme to make me switch now. Edit Of course now there is no scanlines on game videos, which I like. hopefully @Hexxxer implements what I asked about earlier ; )

@Hexxxer A 16:9 version would be great if possible, only for platform view though as game videos are always 4:3 so is fine as is. If you do go the 16:9 route would you be able to remove the scanline effect on platforms? It looks great on game videos , but not so much on platform videos as the game video is only a small part of the 16:9 image but is overlayed over the entire video. Thanks for your great work.

@MatticusFinch1820 Open PlatformWheelImageDetailsThumbsFiltersView.xaml and change the line under, <!--BEGIN FULLSCREEN BACKGROUND VIDEO--> From this <Grid Grid.Column="5" Grid.Row="0" Grid.ColumnSpan="15" Grid.RowSpan="12"> to this <Grid Grid.Column="5" Grid.Row="1" Grid.ColumnSpan="15" Grid.RowSpan="10"> I would recommend making a copy of the theme folder and edit the copy, just incase anything goes wrong. It should be fine but better safe than sorry.

OK, that's great to here. Enjoy your new theme.

OK, you have a different issue then. Its not a theme issue, a reinstall might help there all your folders and things like that will not be effected if you reinstall to the same location.
