I figured out a way to get the wheel to hide in BigBox like it does in HyperSpin. I know some people were requesting this so I thought I'd wrap my head around it a bit. The duration before it hides can be changed also. Here's a quick video of it in action... I still need to tweak some things to get it a little smoother, but that's cake (I am just too lazy tonight). * 2/12/2017 Edit * OK, heres the demo theme. Install it, set it as active in BigBox, and switch through the views to see how it looks. Then open up the XAML and study the code that makes it possible. I've tried to comment everything that's needed and a description of what it's doing until I can get some better documentation finished. WheelFadeDemo.zip

Famicon Disk System | BigBox Startup Video

That's how I intended it but none of my coding tricks could make it work due to the way the wheels are coded in BigBox, so I had to just settle for the way it currently is.

Those are just scraped fan-art backgrounds so they won't be included. You can scrape them on your system.

Turn off background videos...

#1 - The blur is intentional in that view to give depth of view effect. Switch views to use the one that isn't blurred. Pro tip: bind a key to switch views in the options menu. #2 - It will show an image if background videos are on. I can't change that, it's how BigBox is coded.

Photoshop. Go to this link http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=1610.0 and scroll down to the post by the user shenske. Download his templates, they are the best on the site. Then get creative! And for the ones I made I just took the device image from Wikipedia (png) and put it over a blurred screenshot from the platform I was making. Easy peasy.

No, it doesn't change anything you have. You have to source your own vertical covers for your games. Check the site in the description, it has nice, high quality ones. The number of platform images hasn't changed since my Translucent theme although I am getting ready to whip up a few more that I'm missing for my own system and will gladly add them when they are complete. After that you guys are on your own though as I have no intention of making a full pack (just the ones I need).

BigForce v1.0.0 BigBox Theme 02/08/2017 Theme Description ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BigForce is a modern, dark theme focused around the visual style of the computer graphics giant, nVidia. The idea is based off a RetroFE theme called Ergo Proxy by ryuuji that I adapted and modified for BigBox. Theme Notes ~~~~~~~~~~~ * Requires the fonts geforce-bold.ttf and geforce-light.ttf. Both are included in the root theme folder. Install them before running BigBox. * This theme is designed for 1080 but works well at the following resolutions with one missing reflection (due to the way it was implemented): -1280x720: no reflection of the details on the text views -1366x768: no reflection of the details on the text views -1600x900: partial reflection of the details on the text views * If you have your games rated in LaunchBox (5-star rating system), it will be reflected in the theme. * I made this based on high quality vertical covers for all systems, it's not going to look right with horizontal covers. I am aware of this, there's no need to tell me. A good source for these is http://www.thecoverproject.net/. * Included are a handful of vertical platform banners I made based off eash system's original box design. If the ones you need aren't included, get creative and make your own.- 5 comments

That GPU should be fine. I use integrated HD4600 and have very minimal lag on cover flow with quality on high and reflection at 40%. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

SMW v1.0.0 BigBox Theme 2/2/2017 A Quick Note ~~~~~~~~~~~~ I originally started this just as a proof of concept for myself and I wasn't planning on uploading it for the community. After it progressed a bit, I thought it was actually turning out kinda cool and some of you may like to add it to your collection. So here we are. If there's enough interest I'll add some more views to it. Theme Description ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SMW is a simple, fun theme that was created by utilizing sprite sheets from the Super Nintendo game Super Mario World. It's designed to be a basic, easy to use theme with a throwback, pixellated visual style. Theme Notes ~~~~~~~~~~~ * This theme is designed around a 16:9 aspect ratio. The following resolutions have been tested and are known to work as intended: - 1280x720 - 1366x768 - 1600x900 - 1920x1080 * Includes a custom, parallax background video that I made specifically for this theme * Custom Coin Icon for your favorited games in the list views * A static background in also coded into the theme for those of you who wish to use this theme on lower-end hardware. You'll have to edit the code and comment out the video line AND un-comment the image line. This has to be done in the following views (code is labeled for your pleasure): - PlatformWheel1FiltersView.xaml - TextFiltersView.xaml - WheelGamesView.xaml - TextGamesView.xaml Screenshots: -

Yes, It's expected. The theme was designed for 1080 and uses some pretty strict aligning measures to make sure all elements line up perfectly. Don't expect it to work at any other resolution. I guess I should add that to the description. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Translucent Changelog: v1.0.1 (01/31/2017): - made a few minor code tweaks for previously skipped items on my to-do list - themed the system and options menu

It's in there...first line in the notes section.
-
Ahh yes, you need to have the font I included installed...it's a little different than the normal Bebas font.
-
I'm actually working on finding a different font right now. I think the problem may be with that font...I had to set a margin on it to get it to align properly and that may be causing problems on other peoples systems according to various Windows settings. Hopefully I can find one and update it today and you can test it out.
