I strictly use bigbox. So exiting with controller automation works with the ahk i quoted earlier. As far as exiting from launchbox desktop mode....i just use alt+enter , then manually close it by clicking "x". Which doesnt bother me bc i hardly ever use desktop mode.

The ahk in this above quote fixed the issue for me.

O, and I also remembered that certain pcsx2 versions dont close correctly within BB. Try downgrading your pcsx2 to the latest stable version. or upgrade to the latest beta. and delete geforce experience. see if that helps

Make sure you turnoff riva statistics. And whatever other backround process that may be open. Try to narrow it down

yea. i tried deleeting script. And you are riight, you then have to close pcsx2 twice. which is not possible with controller. But i fixed my issue by turning off msi afterburner. as long as afterburner is running,,,pcsx2 would never close correctly via controller automation

show some screenshots when you get around to it of the folder locations etc

yesss...i agree. Bigbox is amazing on the desktop. especially on a 55inch tv. thanks for your response!! Im going to wait for the gpd win 2. Wait until the 1st gen kinks are worked out. Im just glad the foodgates have been opened for handheld gaming pc's!!

Ok, I had the same issue recently. And this is the known solution: 1. Download attached files and put them in location of your choosing. (these files are to hide the mouse cursor when demul is running.) 2. copy and paste this command in the autohotkey box for demul: 3.Edit the command to reflect where u put the "no mousy" exe And you should be fine after that. It should close normally within bigbox. Disclaimer: I have no idea why this works and dont know much about AHK commands. i apologize if I'm not of any assistance. But I personally used mame in retroarch about a month ago. However, I went back to stand alone mame after a few days because retroarch mame was lacking in many features. Most notably , there is no way to set "per game controls" and the more demanding titles "rival schools, tekken, umk3, killer instinct, etc" crash and glitch. IMHO, You are not missing much. I will say that retroarch is a GOD send for all other retro consoles though. Especially the saturn. With scanline filtes, custom 4:3 borders etc. AMAZING!!

Same thing was happening to me with megaman 8 and castlevania. worked in epsxe but not retroarch. Solution ended up being to get the iso's from a different site.

UPDATE: I solved the issue. When I have MSI AFTERBURNER running in the backround,,,pcsx2 exits to desktop when using controller automation. Now that the cause for this bug is known....hopefully it can be fixed in the next launchbox beta, thanks guys!

as of version 7.5 bigbox still exits to desktop upon closing pcsx2 when using controller automation . I tried it on 2 pc's and a laptop with with a fresh windows install. Just bumping this topic. thanks!

Ok, as of version 7.6 , i am facing the following issues. AHK sript for "no mousy" is no longer working in any emulator i try it on "demul, retroarch". And gamepad automation exit isnt working on pcsx2. When i try to exit pcsx2 with gamepad,, bigbox closes and puts me back on desktop. (Escape key on keyboard works fine) When i revert back to LB version 7.0. everything works perfect. I know i made a similar thread before. But i just wanted to condense all the issues im having into 1 thread as a point of reference. The following ahk scripts use to work,,,but now dont as of 7.6 Run, C:\LaunchBox\Nomousy\nomousy.exe /hide $Esc:: { Run, C:\LaunchBox\Nomousy\nomousy.exe And Run, R:\LaunchBox\Emulators\Demul\nomousy\nomousy.exe /hide $Esc:: { Run, R:\LaunchBox\Emulators\Demul\nomousy\nomousy.exe Process, Close, demul.exe } }

UPDATE: Downgrading back to version 7.0 solved all my pcsx2 exiting issues. Hopefully this bug is squashed eventually. thanks!

Yes, I been to that thread. And the AHK in that thread fixed my issues with demul and retroarch. But pcsx2 still gives problems upon exit. Is this only happening to me? NOTE: When using escape key on keyboard...im able to exit pcsx2 fine. The error only happens when i use controller tro exit emulator. Also, I have two pc's. and both show the same symptoms. I cant track down the common denominator.

I personally use Kodi. I set my pc to boot kodi on boot. And launch Big box from that. I then have the option to exit bigbox and launch steam Big picture for windows games. Not sure if this will work for your setup, but just throwing some ideas out there.

no bb crashes in event viewer. However i notice when BB closes, it remains open within task manager.

Yes. I use controller button combination as well for exiting emulators within big box. "back+L1" to be specific. It works fine in all emulators except pcsx2. and not to veer off topic too much, the same thing started happening with other emulators after recent LB updates. And this auto hotkey script fix the issue: Run, C:\LaunchBox\Nomousy\nomousy.exe /hide $Esc:: { Run, C:\LaunchBox\Nomousy\nomousy.exe } but,,, that this doesnt work with pcsx2.

Every time I exit pcsx2, bigbox closes, and im returned back to desktop. This only started happening after recent updates. Is this a known issue?? Im using the default Auto hotkey script by the way, thanks

Hello all. Im having an issue when launching bigbox mode from KODI. When launching BB mode from kodi. Everything works fine. But when I exit BB mode to get back to Kodi...kodi freezes and I have to force close kodi. This doesnt happen everytime though. This only happens when Ive been using bb mode for an hour or so loading various emulators. Sidenote: I use "launcherforkodi" program to prevent Kodi from taking focus whenever bigbox is open. And i notice that upon exiting BB mode. It is still open in task manager as "BIGBOXMODE- AHK" Any help is appreciated. thanks as always!!!
