I can't find TextFiltersView. To be clear, don't want to edit a different view - I'm still working on the game list view. I just want it to show the current playlist somewhere on that view. For example, I might be in the games list view for computers/MSDOS/Sierra Games - as well as the platform MSDOS logo (that I currently have showing as a UI element), I want it to show the playlist (Sierra Games) also.

Odd issue I'm having with my marquee screen. My current setup is like this: Main monitor (central) - Asus Rog Swift PG2789Q - 2560 x 1440 Marquee monitor (to the left) - LG 27UK600 - 3840 x 2160 The problem I'm having is that in BigBox, the marquee screen (the LG) doesn't seem to quite fill the screen - it looks like there is a ?single pixel line across the top of the monitor where I can see what is behind the BigBox marquee screen (i.e. usually my desktop). See the below pic for an example: That line across the top is actually the top of my Chrome browser which is the window running behind BigBox. I don't think it's a theme issue, as when I change to different themes the problem remains. What I have noticed however, is that if I switch the main & theme monitors in the BigBox settings, I don't get the white line when the marquee screen is on my main (central) monitor. So I wonder if it has something to do with the monitor resolution or something? I also don't think it's a general PC/monitor issue, as other apps go fullscreen fine (e.g. Retroarch). Any help appreciated!

OK. The scrolling works with other themes I have seen. I have realised that with your theme creator the text does scroll, though there seems to be a delay to it starting and then it scrolls very slowly (even when adjusting the scroll speed in the editor to the 2 extremes). FYI, I'm working on a dual screen theme. Progress can be seen here:

Currently working on a dual screen BigBox theme, aiming to maximise screen real estate for all that juicy media and metadata. My aims for this theme are to present a comprehensive amount of media and metadata, with a focus on the original media especially the front and back box art. I am trying to avoid any unnecessary embellishments and to give an overall clean and uncluttered look that is easy on the eyes. My initial inspirations for this theme were the MSDOS big box games and the Meagre interface, which showed both front and back box art for MSDOS games as well as other media. I initially developed a theme for one screen, though went on to expand it for 2 screens. A beta version of the theme will be uploaded in due course. Still have the platform views etc to work on. At this stage I have provided a screenshot of the game list view and would be keen for any feedback or suggestions. Big thanks to Dave @y2guru for developing the theme creator which I used to make this, and to @eXo for creating the eXoDOS pack that inspired and necessitated this theme.

Sounds like fun. My Launchbox folder is on an SSD; I don’t think you’re supposed to defrag those?

Do you defrag the Launchbox folders or the Roms folders?

Just had a breakthrough. Seems to work for all platforms OTHER than the one I was trying to get it to work for. So looks like this is a case of user (me) error! Must have done something when editing the theme for MSDOS that buggered it up for that platform but still allows it to work for the others. Will do some more fiddling! Sorry to suggest it might be a problem with your app @y2guru! Question - in the theme editor you can select the platform from the drop-down menu in the top left, then select the view you want to edit at the bottom of the screen. Just below that there is another list of platforms - what's the difference between these two lists of platforms? Edit: after some more restarting of both apps (and not doing anything else as far as I can tell), it is now working for MSDOS! Time for some theming..... Second question - can you move images forward/back? I'd like to have a background, but when I add the image I can see no way to move it to the background, behind the other UI elements.

Sorry, my fault for not being clear! In BigBox, the marquee screen is the (optional) second screen that can be enabled and by default will show the game marquee image (or any other images set as priorities for marquee image in LaunchBox). Obviously you need a dual screen/dual monitor setup to benefit from this. Previously, y2guru's theme editor was not able to edit the marquee screen. y2guru had not been aware of the feature himself until recently when I pointed it out to him and @harryoke told him how to get it working. y2guru has, with the latest release of his theme editor kindly added the game and platform marquee views as editable views. Unfortunately, I cannot get these views to work properly using the theme editor. I can add elements to the game marquee view in the theme editor, and it shows fine when you test it out in the theme editor, but when I export the theme and try it in BigBox it only shows the front cover and not any of the other UI elements I had added. It does seem that BigBox is reading the theme marquee view, as it does show where I positioned the front cover - it just doesn't show any of the other UI elements I had added. It's as if the marquee screen is only able to show one image and is not responding to the instructions from the theme for some reason. Hope this is more clear. Grateful for any help but aware that you @Mr. RetroLust might not have got this working either!

Thanks @Mr. RetroLust for your reply - but I'm afraid I'm thoroughly confused by it! Why are you talking about doubling a marquee image and adding a blur effect to the lower layer? My question related to y2guru's theme creator and how to edit the game marquee view (i.e. add other UI elements etc). I tried changing the appearance of the UI elements to "during selection" just in case, though this didn't make any difference.

Those screenshots are tiny, hard to see what's being shown!

I commend your vision my friend. I agree that it would be a lot of work to get this kind of thing for all games for most systems. Personally, as I've mentioned elsewhere, I would also be keen on a "true 3D" box option for Launchbox/Bigbox - i.e. a 3D shape that you can rotate to look at the different parts. Would also take some collective work by the gaming community but it would look awesome. Both this any your idea require relatively high quality artwork for it to look right.

Flash collection (Flashpoint) import guide
Retrofrogg replied to Retrofrogg's topic in Collections and Builds
Agreed - just that full integration was beyond the scope of my expertise! -
Great further improvements. Any plans to allow the box size and spacing settings to be set per platform? The boxes are different shapes for different platforms and this would be real handy!

2d boxes Microsoft XBox 360 - XBLA 2D Box Pack (694) (2 Versions)
Retrofrogg commented on Robin55's file in Microsoft Xbox 360
Looks good! In your text you say: This is an almost complete collection Of Microsoft XBox 360 - XBox Live Arcade 2D Boxes. There are 694 3D Boxes in the collection with the choice of either an orange case or green case. These are made from the official Microsoft covers and as a result the quality will vary. But it looks like the boxes are 2D rather than 3D.
