  1. I had this same problem, it will only work if you change Region or Type (which is going to mess up scraping if that is done).

  3. I tinkered with the Video Playback settings in Big Box (don't adjust it in Launchbox itself as described above) and switched to Windows Media Player. The locking up issue went away, but switching to Windows Media Player has its drawbacks. Firstly, static screenshots will not display in the video box, on any theme. Also, .webm videos will not work. So switching to WMP will not be a permanent solution. I am sure devs are hard at work fixing the issue. But is does seem the 13.19 update messed up the VLC settings in Big Box for some reason. Having the VLC option in regular Launchbox causes no issues.

  7. I am having the same issue, but it locks up after switching around a bit. I don't use Attract Mode. Usually 5 or 10 mins using Bog Box and it freezes up. I am using Unified theme, with VLC selected. I tried WMP and it still locks up at random intervals. Def a 13.19 issue. The locking up issue started directly after that update. Regular launchbox works fine.

    After doing the TG16 set, I felt I had to bang this one out too. This system confused with the type of art it used. Like TG16, some of the CD games were released in cardboard boxes, while most were just sold in jewel case form. All of these games had a jewel case, but some had a double jewel case despite having only one disc. Very weird (some Sony PS1 games did the same). 4 in 1 Super CD was the most confusing to me. This game has one disc, but I dont know if it had a proper jewel case or not. I couldnt find a proper back or spine image, and I don't think it even had its own cover art. I made a generic custom one for that. If anyone has any information or pictures/scans of the original release let me know. Anyway, all releases are included, but again no japanese PC Engine CD releases here. The boxes that did have a standard cardboard release are here, along with all jewel cases. Templates are also included. Enjoy.

    There is a very nice jewel case 3D box collection for this system out there, but while collecting 2D images for this system I noticed not every game had a jewel case for it and I always thought it did. All games were released with standard cardboard box covers (except Keith Courage as it was a pack-in game) and most had a standard CD jewel case inside with the Hu-Card inside of that jewel case. Must have cost NEC a fortune in packaging. But some games just had the Hu-Card in a plastic housing inside the cardboard box with no jewel case. I collected and made 2D front and left spines for all released games. 94 in total. This does not include the japanese PC Engine versions. Funnily enough, I don't think any Japanese PC Engine games were released in cardboard boxes, jewel cases only. Anyway, this set includes the regular cardboard boxes and the jewel cases. Since not every release had a jewel case, I made a custom one for it anyway. I always loved the jewel case boxes, but now I prefer the retail cardboard fronts. As always I included templates for those that want to make their own boxes. I am going to upload TubroGrafx CD as well. Enjoy.

  12. Actually, I got you. I used a standard jewel case template for a few japanese games on the PS1 3D set. That used a black tray insert though, but with some tinkering I made a white insert version. The template still includes the default black tray insert, but I think all Japanese PC Engine CD games used the white inserts. Btw, you can skip the USA TurboGrafx CD games if you want. I just made a 2D set (with spines) for all of those. I just have to 3D box them, but I am also working on regular TurboGrafx 16 boxes. Also, take note that some PC Engine Games use a double disc case, even though there were no multi disc games released for the system. Playstation 1 did the same for a few single discs for some reason. One example I can think of off the top of my head is the game Vasteel. For both the Japanese and USA releases, a double disc case was used. But no worries, I will include a template for that as well. Good luck.   13. PC Engine CD use regular jewel case covers, similar to generic music CDs of the era, but they use white plastic tray inserts instead of black. So no, I don't have a high res template for those. I will keep my eye out though.
  14. those look really great. Its all comes down to the source 2D artwork used when creating 3D art. I try to find the best 2D images I can find. I clean them up where I can and make 3D art out of it. In the future, all frontends will be capable of creating 3D art images on the fly using 2D images (well LB does that now, but it will get way better). The only downside to that is the need to collect more 2D art images likes the back image, and the right and top spine images. I like how you reversed the 3D art showing the back images and right sided spines. Very clever. Even tho I only do USA regions mostly, and Euro exclusives it will be nice to see ALL region artwork collected.

  16. The Japanese releases for GB and GBC used longer vertical boxes. USA and Europe were pretty square. The 2D boxes were 1000x1000. The 3D template I made for the USA and Euro boxes matched up with the older template used. They look pretty squared up to me. You can tell because the seal of approvals don't look pinched or distorted. Also, on the USA/Euro boxes, the left side GameBoy banner logo is uniform from one box to the next. So when you cycle through the boxes, your eyes focus on the artwork part, which isn't perfectly squared.
  17. I actually didn't upscale many boxes for this set. The GBA and GBC set I did. There were a lot of high quality scans available on psxdatacenter.com. The ones I did upscale were any boxes sized 600x600 or less. I prefer the "artifacted" upscaled versions over the badly scanned low resolution scans available. Also, this is the reason why I include templates. So if you want to redo the "badly AI'ed" images with something better, you can! So take a swing at it and fill in the pieces my friend.

    Huge collection of Sony Playstation 3D box images. All USA games included, along with Euro exclusives and same Japanese games that have translations. All the long box games. Long box releases that also had jewel case releases are also here. I also included all Greatest Hits games (there were a lot more than I thought). Sadly, only one Collector's Edition box is here. I couldnt find high quality scans of any of those. I included 3D box templates in PSD format if anyone needs it. There are quite a few 3D box sets out there for PS1, what makes this one exciting is all the Greatest Hits game have 3D art for the first time. Also, for the longest time I thought ALL PS1 long boxes were cardboard format, but it turns out quite a few long box releases used a plastic clamshell similar to Sega Saturn. The templates used were all 3D art images collected from the games DB, that I simply made into templates so I couldnt give credit to whom created what. Enjoy this massive collection!

  20. I don't think I included a 2D template in the download. Here is a basic one. It's the front, left spine and back. I only included the back for NES because they were easy to find in ultra good quality. You won't need the back part for Hacks and some homebrews, unless you want to make your own.NES 2D.psd
  21. I am horrible with tutorials, and I don't even consider myself a Photoshop expert at all. But generally I like to make a 2D template of a box first (usually just the front and left spine is all that's needed). Once the 2D template is complete, I import that into my 3D box template. Before I do anything I press record to record the action for later. Once the action starts recording, I cut, resize, skew the images where they need to go, creating any clipping masks if I need to. Once everything looks good to go, I stop recording the action and save my work from there. If there is another game box I want to make, I repeat the process by creating another 2D version with the same exact dimensions of the other 2D box I made. I know this must sound confusing (especially if english isnt your first language), but this stuff will just come to you. This is how I learned, and still learn. You just have to keep doing, and messing up, and doing again. But if you are willing to learn and DO like you said, you will get it. Youtube tutorials are a help, but just tinkering even when you dont know what the hell you are doing is the best method for learning. Good luck!
  22. Very good work! Don't worry, I am not very good at Photoshop either. I searched for images or scans for this to help with the spine image, but I couldnt find anything, only a front box image. However, I do remember having a spine image from the Nintendo Game Boy version. Also made a 2D version of this (no back image tho). Hope this helps. And you did great on yours, but if you can find a decent image on the Piko Interactive spine for this title let me know. Good luck!
  23. Well the current 3d boxes for Sega Master System are not bad at all. Spines are a pain in the ass if the system uses real cardboard boxes for the artwork (like old Atari games and NES). I love the systems that printed their art work on paper sleeves (like most Genesis, Master System and and PS1). Those scans are easier to come by. Right now I am working on Sony PS1. That system is very easy because almost every single games cover art has been scanned well (except the long boxes and their spines, but they are fairly easy to recreate). There is just a huge library of games for PS1 that it takes forever to go through. And your PSD templates would make it easy to makes spines. Looking through Master System spines, most use that ITC Modern font or just the games logo. For now enjoy your break. Lol. I know how much time and energy goes into making these.
  24. These are beautiful. I do box art work on many different systems, and I always wanted to do this one but it seems so daunting compared to other systems. There must have been a lot of cutting and resizing on the boxes with the grid lines. You did very well by not AI enhancing every box (I didnt notice any AI enhancing on any of these tbh). High quality scans of Sega Master System games are easy to come by, but just because you have high resolution images of certain boxes doesn't always mean high quality scans. I learned that the hard way doing some Atari 2600 boxes a while back. But you did great with the artwork here. Wish the spines were included to make 3D sets, but you can always go back later. Let me tell you, adding the PSD templates is a GREAT touch. Thank you so much for doing that. Not very often templates are included when sets like this are shared. Also, I love how you add alternate box versions of some games! I hope you do more boxes in the future and please consider doing them with spines. Typically the left spine of each box is only needed (for the 3D box arts). Anyway fantastic work here. I can tell you worked hard on this one, and it shows.
  25. that "double click & add" stuff was a stock image from a older template, it isnt used in this template. you have to add your own image manually and use "create clipping mask" option. I added the template for those people with basic photoshop experience.
