  1. Did you download LB from the link below or somewhere else? If not from our website directly. I would not use that file. https://www.launchbox-app.com/download
  2. You can delete it if you do not need it.
  3. If you used the Mame Full Rom Set import option on the old version just run the Full Set Importer on the new set of roms. No need to delete anything. LB will parse the data against the new rom set.
  4. LB natively does not support a marquee view which would include images or videos, but BB does support marquee views for both images and videos. The BB Default theme has a marquee specific view for both platform level and game level. The marquee view has some fallbacks in place that will play videos, then fall back to images. I believe there may be a plugin that allows marquees to be shown while using LB.

    Keyboard

Your Mame rom set being old is not what the error is concerned with. It is the actual Mame executable. Really old versions of Mame will not accept that LB command line. For keyboard mapping if you are talking about mapping for controls while playing a game that is all done in each unique emulator. LB and subsequently BB if you get premium license only maps controls for moving around inside the UI and for starting/exiting a game.

    Keyboard

What version of Mame are you running? The "-keyboard" is a command line LB sends Mame and if you are running a very old version of Mame then Mame throw that error as very old versions of Mame do not understand the command line. You have 2 options: 1. In LB go to >Tools >Manage >Emulators and edit Mame. Then in the first page that opens look for the Default Command line section and remove "-keyboardprovider dinput". Then save and close. 2. Is update your Mame version and your Mame roms. This is what I would recommend. Get rid of outdated Mame. Newer would be better, especially if you plan to build your library. However, if you are content then use what you want.
  7. Go to settings in BB and change the default startup view. In BB >Settings >Options >Views >Default Startup View (change this field to the view option you want BB to startup with.
  8. The Media Refresh option only updates the image cache LB uses to load images faster. Did you tell LB to download image when you imported the roms? What you can do is while in LB click on one game in your Mame/Arcade platform and then CTRL+A to select all. Then up on the top menu go to >Tools >Download >Update Media and Metadata for Selected Games. Then follow the prompts to select the image types you want downloaded.
  9. Open in Windows your \Launchbox\Data\Platforms folder. If you have any extra xaml files in there that are backups or copies of the original platform xaml files this can cause the disappearing games issue. Those need to be moved outside the \Data folders.
  10. Yeah, I should have been more exact. Can see how it might confuse if the whole context was not read. The original post was about doing media downloads.
  11. LB does not do video marquees which is what was being asked. LB only has marquee images. Check the downloads section. I did not look much but here is a link for some Arcade marquee videos.
  12. I would post about it on the plugins main download page. It could need an update due to some of the changes in LB. There was a .Net change that might be affecting the plugin. Was the plugin working in 13.9 beta 1?
  13. Next stable releases are always undetermined. Depends on issues any betas see and fixes. Releases sometimes take a couple weeks or up to a month. So no concrete time when each stable gets released.
  14. This should be an exe file so just drag and drop the exe into LB and do not set an emulator.
  15. In LB find the game then >Right Click >Edit >Edit Metadata and Media. Go to the "Emulation" tab and uncheck the box there.
  16. In the Edit Emulator screen for Retroarch what does the "Details" tab look like?
  17. In LB: Go to >Tools >Manage >Emulators and edit Retroach. On the first screen on the bottom right is the check box referenced (Extraact ROM archives...). Make sure it is unchecked.
  18. Your bug report is not deleted. Its just in open status as the dev team is not working over the weekend. I changed it to submitted. I would give them until some time during the day Monday to catch up on weekend issues. I do not use Android version so unfortunately I cannot offer any assistance.
19. I feel ya on this. It was not about be right or wrong, but about sharing options. I used to concern myself with accuracy but found the older I got the less I cared and just made sure what I want is there to enjoy so I tend not use a lot of features. I am sure there are things that using the LB standard option will miss, but the team will never know if it is not reported so it does help when users with a more in depth eye can use the features for things like this and report back any issues. Just keep sharing what you find and of course keep shareomg ways to get things to work.
  20. Never stated it was a fixed problem. I even clearly stated I was not 100% on its import accuracy and only advised games I expected to be there from my split set were there. I am not a user who is concerned with 100% of the roms from a set being there. What you have done is awesome and sure it will be helpful to other users. So kudos and a big thanks on sharing and posting a video guide. Below is my last import showing MK. Matches everything form your screen shot. Also matches the split set I imported. Like I said overall I cannot vouch for complete import accuracy. All the hacks that I want and I would look for got imported without any workaround. Just using what LB offers.
  21. No work arounds really needed. LB had an update in 13.12 to accommodate HBMame imports using the Full Set import option. I will admit I am not 100% sure on how accurate the import is, but using it to import the last set I used it worked without issue an any game I expected to be there is. Version 13.12 - Released March 11, 2024 Improvement: The MAME Arcade Full Set Wizard file requirement has been reduced to accommodate HBMAME full sets
  22. If you are using Viking's original version of the theme and want to keep using it you can edit a style file and add the missing platform name in there and the color code to match the green or you can add a color code you want to use for the platform. Go to the theme's folder in Windows and look for the \Views\Styles folder. In that folder edit the COLORFUL_Styles.xaml file in Notepad or NotePad++. Under the "Platforms" section go to the end of that list and add a new line. Just copy and paste one of the other lines then change the platform name to exactly match how you named the platform in LB. Then change the color code to one that matches the green or one you want to use. I believe the default green is code 5abc3c. So it should look something like this. Save the file and you should be good to go. I recommend just updating to the more current Colorful CTC version.
  23. Thanks for letting us know. Newer versions should prevent this, but looks like still might be an issue. It's always good though to not keep any backup xaml files in the \Data folders. If you do need/want to make copies/backups I would add a folder called \Backups in the \Data\Platforms folder and store them there to be safe.
  24. What version of LB are you on? Newer versions (starting with the 13.16 update) included some updates to mitigate the risk backup files in the \data folder would cause these issues.
  25. You cannot specify which one to use when you have multiple of the same image type for a game in that image folder. LB is made to randomly show one. You would need to remove the ones you do not want to show. So, if you want to keep them all so they can be seen as part of the total image package for a game, but only want a certain one to show up as the primary game box art there is no current way to do that.
