  1. You have a typo with transparent. You spelled it “trasnparent”. Try correcting that. Are you editing the right line of code though? If I remember that section he used a rectangle call to make that area if the screen the dark grey. Not a grid. Something like below I believe < Rectangle Grid.Column="0" Grid.ColumnSpan="7” ........... and so on ..... />
  2. It been long recommended to no longer use Process, Close as it is a hard close script. The script below if better to use. I know by default LB puts the Process, Close script in a few emulators and I have asked Jason if we can update LB with the better code. ; This section closes emulator when pressing Escape $Esc:: { WinClose, ahk_exe {{{StartupEXE}}} }
  3. Like Neil said you will need to change that Game List View. If the Remember Separate View box was checked and you had to uncheck it you will need to then cycle through the Game View list to get it to change all the platforms. So even though the view might have shown the one you want you would still need to cycle through it to reset all the platforms not on the correct view.
  4. Yeah it is easy enough to change the emulator path. Just do it in the >Tools>Manage Emulators and edit for each on affected. Where it can be a pain is if you are changing media path locations outside of the LB folder structure. Most do not mess with that, but just a heads up if you choose to.
  5. Can you post a pic of the Views settings page from your BigBox. Like the image below.
  6. All themes allow for marquee support. What can be shown is limited to how the marquee view is coded in the theme you are using as well as BigBox’s capabilities. So you would need to code a view yourself or see if someone can do one for you. Right now marquees can show additional images such as custom control map images, but things like high scores would require a user created plug-in.
  7. I would not worry about it. We are used to seeing it with translations so it is not a big deal. I asked about the version to make sure you are not on the beta since there is a new Theme Specific feature and I wanted to make sure you were not using that. Since you are on 11.6 it is not a feature.
  8. Keep in mind that is Rom path related only. If you are changing paths for emulators or media it is a more manual process.
  9. I was asking exactly what you provided in your answer. The Startup they are talking about is not the Teknoparrot windows you see. It is the LB Startup theme option (like the themes you see here). Kemakokos post stated "Startup up screen" not "pop up windows". Two different beasts. So following the steps I gave on turning them off has nothing to do with those TP screens (like the ones below). What happens if you run the game directly in TP and not using LaunchBox? If you get this issue without Launching the game through LB then it is either a game dump or driver issue maybe. It would not a LB issue.
  10. Can you show an image of what you mean by "startup windows pop up"? Are you talking about the Teknoparrot windows (the cmd window and the their game loading window) or the actual LB/BB Startups theme? The post in this thread is about the LB/BB startups, not the Tekno windows that pop-up when each game starts to load.
  11. That is because as you have been told a couple times now you need to change the view. #1. If you uncheck to box to allow different view per platform you then need to make sure you select the theme you want and then in the menu with the view names listed change the view type for the Games View option. (All themes have multiple views. One of them is a required Text List view which is the one you are seeing without the clear logos. You need to change the view away from Text List) #2. If you check the box for different views per platform you then need to map and key or button in your BigBox keyboard or controller mapping for the option for "View Change" then go into the platforms that have the wrong view and hit that key or button until you get to the view you want. The them works perfectly fine. I think you are just misunderstanding what we are telling you to do. What version Launchbox are you using?
  12. It should run fine with LB/BB Startup screen. Just double checked and no issues with Luigi's Mansion Arcade and the startup screen. So it could be a setting in your Teknparrot, a driver issue, or the game file. If you need to turn it off though you can do it on a per game basis or turn it off for Teknoparrot as a whole. To do it on per game just right click the game and edit. Then in the Startup/Pause section (last item in the edit window) click the box to apply Override Default Startup Screen settings and click customize. Make sure the "Enable Startup Screen" box is unchecked and save the setting.
  13. You likely have those platform set to a different view. BigBox has a setting that allows you to "Remember Separate View for each platform". In the "Views" section in your settings see if you have that checked. If you do have that checked uncheck it and you can make sure all platforms keep the same view. If you do this you need to make sure you change the settings to the view you want. Or keep it checked and set a button or key in your BigBox mapping for "Change View" and then you can change view while in a theme by using the button or key if you want.
  14. You cannot set emulator items by Platform Category in LB only by Platform or by Game. If you edit a game you can add a custom command line parameter to have that game run a specific core.
  15. He means messing with the Startup theme setting in LB. Go to >Tools>Manage emulators and edit CXBX. In the Startup tab turn of startup themes and see if the issue goes away. If it does you now know it is LB Startups causing the issue. You can then turn it back on and tweak the settings in it to see if you can find a setting that will not cause the issue.
  16. In BigBox settings: >Options>General then you will see the option for "Remember last game for each platform"
  17. If you remove/delete an imported rom and do not delete the media you downloaded, when you reimport the rom LB will attach the existing media to it.
  18. My recommendation than would be import your roms without scraping for media. That way you can quickly see if anything was missed. Then go back and download that media. Plenty of users import full roms sets for many systems with many versions of the same rom. Nothing wrong with that. Since media downloads is timely for you I would do as I mentioned and import rom first without media. I have many games that I keep several versions of the same rom for.
  19. Combine Roms does not combine new imports with an existing import. It works only when you are importing them at the same time. You will have to import the other roms and check the force duplicate option. Then when they get imported select all the matching roms and combine them. LB will give you an option to choose the default.
  20. It does. I was just confirming what you posted. However, that did catch me off guard that while in a theme if I made a change using mapped key/button it automatically made it theme specific. A prompt to apply to theme specific would be nice. I typically make changes with mapped keys and usually do this when helping in the forum so I will know to delete the xml file or just put the setting back before I close out BigBox. Now that I know though it is not that big an issue.
  21. Ahhh. That was indeed it. Changing a theme's view in the settings menu did not generate a BigBoxSettingsOverride.xaml. Using a mapped key/button did generate it. So good to know.
  22. Thanks Jason for checking on your end. All the themes I tested I do not have any theme specific settings for. So not sure why I am seeing what I described. I will test on a clean build and see if it happens.
  23. @Jason Carr A quick test on the new beta and I notice that changing the current theme in theme in the Global settings (so not the theme specific options) is not working correctly. Example in Games View: If you change the view type for Game List View in the menu it does not change it in the actual view. So lets say I currently have Vertical Wheel 1. If I change to Text List directly in the settings and then go to the games view it is still visually in Vertical 1. If I use my key to change the view live to Text View it does indeed change it. However, go back into the settings and the listed setting still reflects Vertical 1 it does not now reflect Text List. This also appears to be affecting platform views as well. Although in the settings if you change the platform view it doe change it. If you are in the live view and change the platform to a different view. The change does not get reflected in the settings. Hope I explained that coherently. I tested with Critical Zone, Chrome Metal, Unified Redux, Colorful Dark and Default.
