  1. Makes no difference. LB does not read anything when launching games to play. It sends a command line to Mame and tells it to launch the specified game.
  2. BB by default cannot do that. It may be something that can be custom coded into a theme. Not 100% on if a custom theme can detect the game starting and then transition the marquee image so this may be more of a plugin thing. If you are using the Third Screen plugin your best bet would be to pose this question on that developers thread to see if the plugin can do that.
  3. Easiest way I would think is to use the option within the LB game import menu to let it download and set-up Bezel Project. I do not use bezels and never messed with it. But a quick Youtube search found this person's tutorial from about 4 months ago and it was easy to follow. This is doing bezel project direct from their download and not from within the LB set-up options.
  4. Do not edit the License.xaml. LB can detect it has been altered. Once you buy your legitimate license from LB open your \Launchbox folder and remove the License.xaml that came from the rom seller's build. Then drop the License.xaml that gets sent to you in the email from our team in the same \Launchbox folder. Make sure LB is closed when you do this. That is all you need to do. Just a heads up we do not troubleshoot builds from rom sellers in our forum so if you have issues with it you may find little to no help here. For one, those sellers are not looked at highly here and second, trying to troubleshoot something you did not set up can be a bit of a chore as we have no idea what that seller may have done in the build.
  5. No need to turn this thread south. Rules state you cannot post link to sites hosting roms. The fact your thread escaped moderator or staff eyes for years does not discount it should be addressed. Linking to legitimate site like Steam and others is allowed. No one is power hungry one of the staff members did what we missed. As an FYI since your comment was deleted about you stating you "never had a single rom linked" all your links to Archive and several other known rom sites were removed. Only the Steam and Itch links are remaining.
  6. No worries. First, if there is any chance you have multiple versions of Retroarch installed make sure inside LB you are pointing to the correct one. We have seen numerous time people have 2 set-ups and the game plays inside RA in one, but they are pointing LB to a different on. So make sure whatever version RA you can play the game directly in you are pointing LB to that same RA version. If the first part is not the issue let's check how things are set up. Would you mind providing the following pics below. >Tools >Manage >Emulators and edit Retroarch. 1. Pic of emulator detail page 2. Pic of the Associated Platforms page >Right click on Shinobi game in LB and edit. 1. Pic of main details page 2. Pic of Emulation page 3. Pic of Launching page
  7. You asked this same question in a previous posted I responded in. The answer I gave still stands as a likely issue. I will be locking this thread. You can respond in the original thread. Please do not open multiple posts with the same question.
  8. Yeah things you are saying you are doing do not make sense. There is no "key" when you pay for a premium license that has to be entered and there is nothing to register. So maybe you are describing it incorrectly. You download the app and pay for a license. You then get an email from our team with your License.xaml file. You take the License.xaml and place it in your \Launchbox folder and that is it. Next time you open you have the premium features.
  9. Its possible if it is a new build the image cache is still building. Upon adding metadata LB caches the images to be able to pull them faster. There could be some other things but that is most common one. Not sure how you set the emulator up in LB but a common issue with people using RA's Mame core is having the option to unzip/decompress the rom checked in the emulator setting within LB. Go >Tools >Manage >Emulators and on the first tab make sure that option is not checked (bottom right hand part of the screen). Some pics of how you set the emulator up in LB might help further troubleshoot.
  10. Do you mean how do you change which box image is being displayed or how do you change the display image to a different image type (3D box, Banner, etc.)?
  11. Could be a core selected/rom issue. Do you have all these games in the same platform or in different platforms (some users will separate arcade boards into unique platforms)? What would be helpful is sharing some pics. Edit Retroarch in LB and post pics of the Main tab and Associated Platforms tab. Edit a game that is not working and post a pic of the main details tab, the Launching tab, and the Emulation tab.
  12. LOL. We are not confused with what you are saying. We are not even saying it is not supposed to work the way you are saying. We are just contemplating the other side that maybe it was not supposed to allow an import to “unknown platform” all along. That’s all. Which is why Joe said “from a different perspective”. It’s the weekend and our devs typically are not online so we cannot confirm either way for now.
  13. What I think Joe is saying is LB allowing a game to be added and editable without an assigned platform (the way you saw it functioning) could have been the bug and the team identified and fixed it. When importing a game LB asks you to specify the platform it gets imported to. I have never known LB to play well with games not having a platform listing filled in. So allowing a game to get imported without a platform field being populated is more likely the bug.
  14. Is it only one platform this is affecting or multiple? What is the platform name it is affecting? PB may be struggling to know what to do with that Unknown Platform.xaml. Not sure why you even have that. If its a Windows game put it in the Windows folder on platform.
  15. If it is Windows games you are having issues with I am going to suspect that the Windows.xaml and Windows 3.X.xaml is the issues. LB might be confused by the Windows 3.X one. I would say move it out that folder (with LB closed) and test.
  16. I know you said you checked already but can you share a pic of the contents inside your \Data\Platforms folder. Make sure we can see all the contents.
  17. Just an FYI in case anyone is not aware @C-Beats who is responding here is one of our developers.
  18. You have to wait on support team to respond. They are the only one that can assist. I would email support@unbrokensoftware.com again if it has been more than 2-3 days.
  19. This means you are using a license the is known to have been shared/pirated by users. If you remove the license.xml from your \Launchbox to continue using the free version of LB. We recommend purchasing a legitimate license directly from our site. If you feel this is an error please contact support@unbrokensoftware.com and explain the situation.
  20. Sometimes the version in BB theme manager may not always be the latest version. I like that we have that feature, but if the theme creator does not submit the updated version to the team it will not get tested and put in the UI theme manager. So the forum is usually best for keeping themes updated.
  21. You can use a tool such as BulkRename to do delete the extra data en masse. I do not mess with those platform so not sure if there is logic that should have worked in LB.
  22. Unfortunately no due to the custom use of views by the theme. Custom themes can easily override BB settings so even if there was a setting, the theme if coded a certain way would make the setting useless.
  23. Correct, all in game controls are mapped in the emulator. With RA you do not necessarily have to map each core. RA has a global mapping you can set which will be used by any core loaded and you can uniquely map a core if you prefer a different mapping for it.
  24. Are you talking about mapping in LB/BB or inside an emulator? If in LB/BB that is because LB/BB do not see Joy1 vs Joy2. It only sees you have multiple but maps all commands the same to each control. This because mapping directly in LB/BB is only for moving around in the frontend.
  25. You would have to manually edit the theme since it is a custom theme. There is no BB setting to do this. Go into the theme's man folder and then go into the \Views folder. Within that you might see a set of subfolders named after views. If there are those folders then open the folder for the view you are using in BB and inside you should see a xaml file named "Arcade". You can copy that file and paste it then rename that new one exactly as your other arcade platforms are named. Example: Atomiswave.xaml. You may have to then open that file and see if any of the lines of code reference the "Arcade" platform name. If it does you would need to edit that to show the new platform name. This should give those platforms that same Arcade look in the theme. Below are examples of a theme using custom views for platforms. You can see in the main \Views folders are the global view files and then the folders with the view names. Those folders contain custom platform files for the different views. Going into the WheelGamesView folder you see the theme maker made custom platform views for the platforms listed.
