  1. Oh I see. Sorry, not sure how to get it to work if the steam controller plugin is interfering with Dolphin detecting the real wii remote. Can you get the wiimote to work in steam? Maybe that's how to need to do it so that it will then carry forward to Dolphin.
  2. I posted this in another thread, but since it's applicable directly to the question in this thread, I figured I'd post it here as well as it might help others decide what to use. Some of the stand-alone emulators I use for different systems. I do use RetroArch for many systems, and in some cases the below systems also have Retroarch cores. But I find the stand-alone emulators works better/faster for the below if they do have a Retroarch core alternative... IMO. In many of the systems below I've tested multiple stand-alone emulators, but ended up with these as they seem to work best for my system/preferences: - Arcade - Mame - https://www.mamedev.org/ - Atari 5200 - Altirra - http://www.virtualdub.org/altirra.html - Commodore 64 - Hosx64 - http://www.hoxs64.net/ - Commodore Amiga - FS-UAE - https://fs-uae.net/ - Nintendo 3DS - Citra - https://citra-emu.org/ - Nintendo 64 - M64P - https://m64p.github.io/ (Looks like the dev moved to Patreon only downloads, but you can get the last public release vie EmuCR - http://www.emucr.com/2019/01/m64p-20190126.html) - Nintendo GameCube/Wii - Dolphin - https://dolphin-emu.org/ - Nintendo Wii U - Cemu - http://cemu.info/ - Sega32X - Kega Fusion - https://segaretro.org/Kega_Fusion - Sega Dreamcast - Demul - http://demul.emulation64.com/ - Sega Saturn - Mednafen - https://mednafen.github.io/ - Sony Playstation 2 - PCSX2 - https://pcsx2.net/ - Sony Playstation 3 - RPCS3 - https://rpcs3.net/ - Sony Playstation Portable - PPSSPP - https://www.ppsspp.org/
  3. Are you importing via the Mame Arcade Full Set option, or the Rom Files option? I never used the Mame Arcade Full Set option to import, but I believe that gives you different options during the import process. I just tried the Rom Files one, and it prompted me if I wanted to copy/move/keep etc. as it always did.
  4. Hmm, maybe check your view settings to make sure you have show Show Hidden Games and Show Broken Games checked off. Maybe one those is unchecked and if the game is hidden and/or broken it won't display in your main view.
  5. There's a nice write up on the Steam Community website on how to set Dolphin up withing BPM: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=571637466 Also, if I remember correctly (but I might be thinking of another issues), there's a bug that if you have Dolphin setup to run as administrator it will prevent the controller from being recognized properly. So, if you do have Dolphin setup to run as admin, try simply turning that off to see if it helps/fixes the issue. Edit: There was also a thread on this forum recently where someone else had the same issue, they resolved it and put in the thread how they did: Maybe that will help as well.
  6. Are you loading a zip file or did you extract the files? Arcade roms should not be unzipped typically... you should be importing/loading the .zip file directly. That message though could mean an incompatible rom set for the core you're trying to use though, so it could be either issue maybe.
  7. I have no reicast folder in my config folder in retroarch. I believe that's only there if you changed core settings, which apparently I haven't. I just used the stock settings.. just make sure you have the correct bios files and maybe update to the latest retroarch. My guess though is that it's a retroarch versioning issue. Likely the most recent version of the core was made to work with the most recent version of retroarch. Perhaps updating that will fix your issues.
  8. I'm on the latest nightly .. 1.7.6 I believe. Perhaps the bios files in your dc folder you have is not the correct dump? Check the checksum to make sure it matches what the libretro docs ask for https://docs.libretro.com/library/reicast/ (pasted below for quick reference): Filename Description md5sum dc/dc_boot.bin Dreamcast BIOS - Requried e10c53c2f8b90bab96ead2d368858623 dc/dc_flash.bin Date/Time/Language - Required 0a93f7940c455905bea6e392dfde92a4 dc/naomi.bin NAOMI Bios - Optional/Required for NAOMI Games 3bffafac42a7767d8dcecf771f5552ba
  9. Not sure if that emu.cfg file is used in retroarch or not. I don't have that file in my dc folder, and it works fine for me in retroarch. Typically, if you want to adjust core options, you get into a game using that core, press whatever key you have set in retroarch to bring you back to it's menu, then go into the options. From there you can set all the available options for that core. I checked and I didn't see anything specific to fps, but it might be names something different. This page (https://docs.libretro.com/library/reicast/) lists all the core options that are available to be changed in retroarch. Hope this helps.
  10. ..\Launchbox\Videos\Platforms folder I believe... not the root of the videos folder Or, if you want them just for the Unified theme, then create a folder in the Unified Refried theme folder with the same structure (ie. ..\Videos\Platforms) and put them in there.
  11. There are emulators for those as well. Specifically these that I'm aware of: Sega Model 2 emulator - Model 2 Emulator ( http://www.emucr.com/2014/01/model-2-emulator-v11a.html ) Sega Model 3 emulator - Supermodel ( http://www.emucr.com/2019/02/supermodel-svn-r775.html ) I've never tried the Model 2 emulator, so I have no opinion of it one way or another. Back in the day though, I did try the Supermodel emulator so I could play the Star Wars Trilogy arcade game. It played ok, but I found it was the only model 3 game that I found myself wanting to play, and it was buggy... so I removed it from my list of emulators/roms and moved on to things I play more regularly
  12. Hey all my fellow emulator junkies. Just in case people were not aware of this, byuu just released the final version of his newly-made bsnes emulator (version 107). This is not Higan, this is only for Super NES and Super Famicom.... seems to be another good stand-alone emulator for those who prefer that over Retroarch, etc. https://byuu.org/emulation/bsnes/ Here's the changelog from byuu:
  13. Excellent, happy to hear you got it working the way you wanted.
  14. Yes, I'm using retroarch with the core I mentioned, and with pgxp enabled. To be honest I don't have any dual disk PSX games at the moment, so I haven't tested it with swapping disk. But, I have my retroarch set to bring up its menu by pressing my L3/R3 together. Once in the menu I assume I would have the option to swap disks as needed. Retroarch does close when pressing the ESC key for me though, as do most of my emulators as well. I saw other posts on here asking the same thing, and it seems like there's no way to globally disable that in LB/BB. Another suggestion, not sure if it would work with PCSX-R or not, but while in game if you press alt-enter to bring it out of full screen, would it bring up the menu so that you can then swap disk, then press alt-enter again to put it back in full screen mode? Just something to try maybe
  15. The retroarch core, mednafen_psx_hw_libretro.dll also has that option available. I would assume that the core in Mednafen's emulator would also support that as it should be the same core I would expect. Another reason I was suggesting using a different emulator, such as Retroarch, is that you can map a different controller/KB option to bring up the menu so you can swap disks as needed, whereas in PCSX-Reloaded it doesn't appear as if you can do that... or at least not that I could see. But, if you're happy with the performance/visuals you're getting with that emulator then stick with what you like/prefer. Maybe one of the mods and/or Jason will have a suggestion on how to prevent your emulators from closing when pressing the ESC key.
  16. I don't have any answers that will give you a direct answer to your question, but I believe the issue lies with PCSX-Reloaded and it being launched via a command line (via LB/BB). When it's launched from the gui the ESC key works, but if you launch it via a command line (as LB/BB does) then ESC closes the emulator.... from what I've read. I know it's not a direct answer, but I just wanted to point out that there are much better PSX emulators out there other than PCSX-Reloaded. It's not a bad emulator, but it's clunky and the plugins are a little outdated (IMO). You might want to check out either Mednafen, as it has one of the (if not the) best PSX emulators out there at the moment. There's also a retroarch core (mednafen_psx_hw_libretro.dll) which is also very good (if not as good)... so if you also use Retroarch I would suggest trying that out. It has alot of good features, and is not very resource intensive as some of the other PSX emulators out there are.
  17. Make sure you don't have Dolphin set to run as admin. From what I've read on another thread that seems to cause an issue with Steam Link and Dolphin not being able to communicate controller functions properly (https://steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/0/133258092241736622/?ctp=2) Hope that fixes the issue for you.
  18. Looking forward to trying out the combined theme. Curious, how will you handle the platforms that you have multiple options for (for example, game gear, PSX, PS2, Saturn, etc.)? Just pick the one that seems to be the most popular or go with the original version of each?
  19. I'm sure RetroHumanoid will see this and respond. But, to me it looks like maybe there's a file you missed re-naming. Look through all the files in ..\Unified Refried\Images\Theme\ and check to make sure you have them matched to the platform/playlist name you're having issues with. For example it looks like you're accessing that screen via a playlist named Shoot 'Em Up, but in Unified Refried\Images\Theme\Addons\_Arcade\VideoBorder there's a file called "Shoot Em Ups.png". Maybe that one needs to be copied and renamed to match your playlist name eg. "Shoot 'Em Up.png". Sorry, I don't use playlists so I can't confirm is this is the issue you're seeing or not, but I did have issues with several of my platforms and I just had to go through all the image files and find the right ones and rename them to match what I have my platform called in LB. Hope this helps... if not maybe someone else knows what's wrong
  20. I'm not at home right now so I can't test this to confirm it. But I believe what you need to do is change the bigbox default startup view to platform categories instead of platforms. Then you should see Arcade and Playlist. The sub cetegories you're referring to are in the playlist section. If I remember correctly, that should do the trick.
  21. I posed this before in another thread. But, here are some of the stand-alone emulators I use for different systems, and that I recommend. For the most part I do use Retroarch for many systems (no shaders to mess me up lol), and in some cases the below systems also have Retroarch cores. However, I find the stand-alone emulators below work better/faster in most cases even if there is a corresponding core in Reroarch... IMO. In many of the systems below I've tested multiple stand-alone emulators, but ended up with these as they seem to work best for my system/preferences: Arcade - Mame - https://www.mamedev.org/ Atari 5200 - Altirra - http://www.virtualdub.org/altirra.html Commodore 64 - Hosx64 - http://www.hoxs64.net/ Commodore Amiga - FS-UAE - https://fs-uae.net/ Nintendo 3DS - Citra - https://citra-emu.org/ Nintendo 64 - M64P - https://m64p.github.io/ (FYI, looks like m64p is now patreon only for downloads on his site, use this for the latest build - https://www.emucr.com/2019/01/m64p-20190126.html for now) Nintendo GameCube/Wii - Dolphin - https://dolphin-emu.org/ Nintendo Wii U - Cemu - http://cemu.info/ Sega32X - Kega Fusion - https://segaretro.org/Kega_Fusion Sega Dreamcast - Demul - http://demul.emulation64.com/ Sega Saturn - Mednafen - https://mednafen.github.io/ Sony Playstation 2 - PCSX2 - https://pcsx2.net/ Sony Playstation 3 - RPCS3 - https://rpcs3.net/ Sony Playstation Portable - PPSSPP - https://www.ppsspp.org/ FYI, ePSXe is not a great PS1 emulator. It's not bad, but the mednafen_psx_hw_libretro.dll is a much better emulator if you use all the bells and whistles in it.
  22. This is why I don't bother with shaders in retroarch, they tend to cause problems unless you do as @fromlostdays mentioned in his post above. I actually prefer the clean look without shaders on 95% of the systems I run. But, don't get me wrong, I do understand why people do want some shaders, like scanlines, etc... it does make things look more authentic to what the games looked like back when they were run on their original consoles, on CRTs
  23. Not sure if you've look here or not, but many people have created playlist videos for many common playlists: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/24-playlist-theme-videos/ If you can't find any playlists that will work in those threads, you might be able to search youtube to see if anyone uploaded a playlist video for the one you need/want.
  24. Can you screenshot the error you get? To be honest I'm not sure what's going on. If you installed Retroarch on your C drive and downloaded the core correctly, you should be able to launch a game, change core options, etc, and they should just remember the settings you changed when you close retroarch and reopen it.
