  1. I’m actually using WMP as my player and the videos play fine when they do play. So for me at least that’s not the issue, it’s a mystery. I actually deleted LaunchBox along with all my previous hard work with it 2 days ago and am starting from scratch on a new computer. Hopefully I’ll run into less gremlins this time.
  2. This actually did not work for me. I downloaded your file but the banner still shows. Would you be so kind as to explain exactly what you did?
  3. Okay, this is a really weird problem I cannot figure out. I have added tons of system and games to my LaunchBox and when I did so originally I had everything ticked for EmuMovies (I have a full premium account), Everything has worked perfectly up until now. Recently I updated all the metadata and media for my 15k+ games, I selected the option to not replace any existing stuff but just to fill in the blanks. It took 4 days to do but afterwards in BigBox most of the game preview videos do not work. I only mention that as it is the only thing I have done lately to everything. Not the games are either showing a game-play screenshot instead or nothing. Here is an example: I only have 8 PS1 games and before they were ALL showing their preview videos, then they did not, just before posting this I updated the media for the 8 PS1 games only selecting to update the videos from EmuMovies and now they are all showing correctly again. I cannot figure out what is going on as everything originally worked just fine.
  4. Absolutely fantastic. You sir, are awesome.
  5. I have not seen a wall mounted cab before. I think it’s a great idea and looks really good, well done.
  6. I would never request a timeframe, it is appreciated no matter how long it took. You’re very kind.
  7. I was just curious if there was one, I wasn’t expecting anyone to go out of their way but that’s kind of you to offer, thanks. I have the main menu clear logo and box-art so I guess with the video to distinguish it maybe just a cartridge in the system displaying a label like this: I could just use the standard SNES video and be happy. What do you think?
  8. Has a video for the SNES MSU1 been made?
  9. Oh man, THIS is exactly what I was after. I did a search for it but could not find it. I wanted to use the exact same background throughout but instead of asking I thought I would just make my own despite it not being exactly the same. I've just replaced all my fan art background with this. Even though you did not post this for me, thank you kindly.
  10. I did know about your Nostalgia theme already, but thank you very much for bringing it to my attention here. I actually downloaded it and gave it a brief try already, not long after I downloaded LaunchBox/BigBox. Your Nostalgia theme is absolutely wonderful and I would be very happy with it. Though I was personally after something just that little more simplistic and 'plain'. I am glad I have gone the route I have taken because despite it having been a little bit painful customising the default theme it has taught me a bit about how everything works. Thanks again. EDIT: It is funny that I want and enjoy the current simplicity of my setup as I originally got into Hyperspin years ago because of all the bells and whistles. I must be an old fart now.
  11. Please share if you do as I would like to see the end result. I think although they are seemingly simple and plain they are stunning and beautiful.
  12. It was all fine and dandy to have the main menu screen looking uniform and dapper. Though from there entering into all the games menus looked hideous with the fan-art as the background. It did not match at all so I made a generic grey background which although might be a bit bland for some, I like the simplicity and continuity. I deleted all the fan-art background images from any folders then added the new background image which I just called 1.png into the \LaunchBox\Images\Platforms\*platform name*\Fanart folder.
  13. I never thought of that. Would it have made it easier as in discarding some of the 'restrictions' regarding options pertaining to the specific default theme?
  14. I did refresh the image cache but those pesky little buggers kept coming back. I did not find them in another location but they very well may have been elsewhere as you said.
  15. Finally got it the way I want it. Just in case anyone else wishes to do this and stumbles across this thread I'll say how I did it. Firstly, unfortunately you cannot simply delete the banner images from their respective folders because when you start BigBox up again it automatically downloads them again (you think you are SO clever BigBox!) I also attempted to delete the banner option from the BigBox files, but again to no avail. I might be incorrect, but it appears you cannot do it. So what I did was make sure I had the 16:9 videos in LaunchBox\Themes\Default\Videos\Platforms. Then create a blank transparent .png file the appropriate banner size and replace all the images in LaunchBox\Images\Platforms\Atari Lynx\Banner for example. Then go to BigBox > Options > Views > Background Fade (set it to 0%). Thanks for the help.
  16. Gosh, you’re SO lazy! Haha. Thank you very much. I didn’t realise that image was a banner image so that will help immensely, thanks very much again.
  17. Yeah tutorial was the wrong word as that conjures images of a full fledged, tutorial, haha. Yes that all worked great thank you. I got rid of the platform detail that were on the screen, now I just have to find where in BigBox to get rid of the image still remaining in the foreground as shown in the attached screenshot. Would you happen to know?
  18. Hello, I am currently using Viking's wonderful Nostalgia videos with the BigCouch theme and it looks great. Though, I like the look of this far more. I am pretty sure the Nostalgia videos are being used with the Default theme there? Would anyone be so kind as to give me a little tutorial on how to achieve this?
  19. I had a dog and his name was BINGO! It is annoying when you find out something that seems so easy, but then again most things are easy after you know. Thank you very much CDBlue, I have learned something new and am back on track again. Also, thank you neil9000 for your reply. May I say I have been tickled pink at the apparent niceness and helpfulness of this community.
  20. Thank you for the reply CDBlue. I have attached screenshot of the NEC TurboGrafx-16. As you can see instead of the game-play footage playing inside the TV and console picture it is covering the entire right side of the screen. I wonder if the 'problem' is just because when you go to Tools > Download Platform/Playlist Theme Videos in LaunchBox the Nostalgia 4:3 is not available for that system as an option. I have just added the Mattel Intellivision and it is doing the same thing and coincidentally it is the only other system I've added thus far that does not have the Nostalgia 4:3 available as an option. I have had to rename artwork to match what the systems are called to get things working. I have become okay with navigating around the folders though as I said I am unable to locate where the images of the systems with TV's next to them are in my LaunchBox folder, it is the only thing I cannot find in my LaunchBox folder.I have also refreshed all my image cache, but does not work.
  21. Hi, I am new to LaunchBox/BigBox and this is my first post. I am using this beautiful theme and it has all worked out perfect except for one thing. I am using Platform view 2 which says it is specially designed for the 4:3 video set. Only thing is the NEC TurboGrafx-16 system and TV set photo/picture does not show. Instead the system sample games video displays across the whole area where the system and TV picture should display. I try and work everything out myself but for the life of me I am unable to find where the images of the systems along with their chosen TV pictures are in my entire LaunchBox folder(s), can anyone point me in the correct direction? Thank you in advance.
